In the year 54 of the Konoha Calendar, two super geniuses appeared in the Konoha. One is named Uchiha Itachi, and the other is named Akihara Kagura. One is a tool of the village, willing to sacrifice everything for Konoha, except for his brother Uchiha Sasuke; the other claims to be a tool of the village, also willing to sacrifice everything for Konoha, including Uchiha Itachi's brother, Uchiha Sasuke.

Saying 5000 year-old-dragon has an impressive ring to it, yet that dragon was an extremely harmless, herbivorous being. However, because of his uselessly giant figure and scary appearance, he was mistaken for the Demon King’s executive and provided by the nearby village with a sacrificial maiden.

Fundamentally cowardly and timid dragon tried to send her away, but the extremely enthusiastic sacrifice didn’t want to give up. People from a technologically advanced society are thrown into a world where they can't maintain their tech. They are forced to rely on what the world provides where they have to make do with the limited resources they have and what little of their old technology is still working. Their gene manipulation allows them to have something akin to superpowers, but that doesn't help much against the monsters of their new world. Not sure yet whether sufficiently advanced technology will be discovered later on to count as magic.It turns more political between the various clans later on.
