’Have I ever told you I love you?’

’Because I really do.’

’You are definitely the best system in the world.’

’And thanks for the simple quest.’

’Although I do wonder what the rewards will be.’

’But I hope they’ll be amazing.’

’Oh well, no point lying awake guessing what the rewards would be, so I’ll just sleep for now and focus on the mission tomorrow.’ Austin closed his eyes and cuddled even closer to his wolfkin before drifting off to sleep.

The next morning, Nora slowly stirred awake as the soft light of a new day began to fill the room whilst her eyes fluttered open.

Turning to her left, the first thing she noticed was that Austin’s side of the bed was already empty.

’Huh?’

The second thing she noticed was a faint and pleasant smell drifting through the room. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

And so, Nora sat up slowly before rubbing the sleep from her eyes, and that was when she saw him.

Austin was already up and moving quietly around the room.

He had already arranged a cushioned chair near the window, and had even draped it with a soft cloth over the armrest.

A small wooden tray sat on the bedside table, containing a warm bowl of something that smelled sweet and filling.

As for how she knew it smelled sweet, that was thanks to her sharp sense of smell.

"Good morning, beautiful." Austin greeted her with his usual grin the moment he noticed her sitting up, and Nora instantly blinked in confusion.

"Hubby? What is all of this?" Nora’s eyes moved between the tray, the chair, and her husband’s suspiciously cheerful face.

Normally, if Austin was being this overtly affectionate in the morning, it meant her handsome husband was in the mood for some bed exercises.

Although Nora had never once complained about their intimate activities, this time around, she hoped her husband would understand that things like that might not be possible for her right now, especially since it would be so soon after giving birth.

But since Austin didn’t know what was been said in Nora’s mind, he simply approached her and replied.

"Hmm? What does it look like, my dear? I’m trying to pamper the most beautiful wolfkin in the world." Austin replied simply as he walked over and placed the tray carefully on her lap.

"Pamper....?" Nora was left stunned because she hadn’t expected Austin to say that.

"Yes, my love. I would love to pamper you for being the best wife in the kingdom, so first, please eat." Austin gestured at the tray he had placed on her lap.

Nora stared down at the bowl, then back up at him with a look that showed she was still puzzled, surprised, and happy all at the same time.

But a part of her still suspected that her perverted husband might secretly have other intentions behind all of this. "Hubby, what are you planning to...." Nora paused mid-sentence when she felt Austin’s lips on hers.

"Relax, my dear. I just want to take care of my wife for a few days, that’s all. Or am I not allowed to do this much?" Austin asked with a cute sad look on his face, making him look like a lonely, sad pup.

Of course, Nora found it extremely cute and blamed him internally for being so handsome no matter what expression he wore.

"Y-you are." She replied, trying her best to look away from him, but her face was completely red right now.

Seeing her adorable reaction, Austin was hugely satisfied, because Nora’s ears were now twitching in excitement and her tail had even begun to sway slowly behind her.

And so, Nora happily picked up the spoon and took a bite of the food, and her expression melted immediately.

"Mmm~ this is so good. I love it." Nora moaned as she placed one hand on her cheek.

"I knew you would." Austin remarked happily as he pushed the cushioned chair closer to the bed and sat down in front of her.

"Hubby? What’s going on?"

"Just trust me, my love, okay? Now finish eating and then come sit here. I have something I want to try."

"Try on me?"

"Relax." Austin laughed softly. "I promise it won’t hurt. Actually, I promise the opposite. So just trust me and come sit here when you’re done."

Hearing his words, Nora held his gaze for a brief moment before nodding, then she moved to the cushioned chair right after she finished eating.

"Now then. Please relax and let me do the work." Austin said as he knelt down in front of her and gently lifted one of her feet into his hands.

"What exactly do you want to do?" Nora asked, watching him with a curious look on her face.

"It’s called a massage, dear. I thought you would like it, and that’s why I want to pamper you today, starting with this." Austin replied as his thumbs began to move slowly and firmly across the sole of her foot.

Feeling it, Nora’s whole body went rigid for exactly one second.

Then her ears shot straight up and her tail instantly began wagging in happiness.

"Oh my... What is this?" Nora moaned softly as she sank back into the chair and closed her eyes to fully enjoy the new sensation.

"This, my dear, is a foot massage."

"A foot massage?"

"Yes."

"Mmm~ I like it."

"So I should keep going?"

"Yes, please."

And so Austin kept going.

His thumbs worked in slow, firm circles across the arch of her foot before moving to the heel.

Then he carefully pressed into the tension that had built up there over days of being on her feet during his recovery.

Once satisfied, Austin worked his way up to her ankles, carefully kneading both of them while reading her reactions with every movement he made.

Since this was technically still his first time giving a massage, he wanted to make sure he was doing it right, and the best way to do that was by watching his wife’s reactions as he gave her the best treatment he could manage.

But when Austin lifted his head to check on his beautiful wife, his eyes instantly widened when he noticed that the beautiful wolfkin had completely surrendered to the pleasure she was feeling right now.
