"Of course not," the Deity of Bliss and Desire replied. "Not even universal deities can conjure things out of thin air. It's one thing to create ordinary people, but important figures have to be created out of original models. When he created this world, the Deity of Knowledge drew inspiration from the Myriad Worlds. He even captured some existing individuals to throw them into this world."

Zu An breathed a sigh of relief. As long as Xihe and the others aren't just illusions.

"The Deity of Knowledge's divine power befuddled the wisdom and memories of this world's living beings, preventing them from realizing that they were living in an artificial world," the Deity of Bliss and Desire added.

"To find a solution to the problem, the Deity of Knowledge set the average battle power of this world to be extremely high. After several cycles of destruction and creation, some individuals in this world grew strong enough to sense this world's anomaly, thus beginning the legend of the World Gate.

"Many sensed that the truth of this world lay in the World Gate, and Emperor Jun was one of them. He attempted to push open the World Gate, so the Deity of Knowledge had no choice but to kill him."

Zu An widened his eyes in realization. Can I really know about these secrets just like that? He asked, "Why are you telling me these things?"

He suspected that the Deity of Bliss and Desire was planning to kill him after toying with him, which was why she didn't mind divulging these secrets to him.

"What do you think?" The Deity of Bliss and Desire hugged him so tightly that it felt as if she wanted to engulf him.

Zu An first eliminated the possibility that he had managed to pleasure her. He wasn't so arrogant as to believe that he could win her over with his skills. If anything, she had brought him far more pleasure.

A thought surfaced in his mind, and he said, "I am in contact with other universal deities. You wish for me to cooperate with you in dealing with the Deity of Knowledge."

"You're a smart one. It's not on the mark, but it's a close guess," the Deity of Bliss and Desire hummed. "The Deity of Knowledge has been occupying this world, which prevents other universal deities from interfering in this domain. But a chance to change everything has finally surfaced!"

"But why should I help you?" Zu An asked. "The Deity of Knowledge is a universal deity as well. I wouldn't dare to get involved in a fight between universal deities."

Going up against a universal deity, especially the Deity of Knowledge, on their turf felt tantamount to suicide.

"Are you going to help them instead of me? They wouldn't be so intimate with you," the Deity of Bliss and Desire replied with a chuckle.

Zu An frowned. The Deity of Bliss and Desire had brought him amazing pleasure, but she was looking down on him if she was trying to buy him over with just this much.

"What a heartless man. You're already shirking responsibility when you haven't even pulled up your pants yet," the Deity of Bliss and Desire grumbled. Her expression was so delicate that it could melt the heart of any man in the world.

But Zu An remained unfeeling like a rock.

"Fine, I shan't tease you anymore." The Deity of Bliss and Desire's disposition suddenly changed. The air around her felt sacred and solemn. "Do you remember the terrifying thing that the universal deities have to face that I just talked about?"

Zu An nodded. He was curious about that.

"Every universal deity is preparing for it in their own way, but some of us recently realized that it's impossible to deal with individually. We have to join forces. The Deity of Knowledge, however, is obstinate about doing it by themself. They believe that they are the most intelligent entity in the world, and that the other universal deities are as dumb as pigs before them."

Zu An had to suppress his laughter lest he offend the other party. "I'm surprised you didn't join forces to obliterate them."

"Hmph, the Deity of Knowledge is still not utterly incompetent. It's not that easy for us to find them in this world," the Deity of Bliss and Knowledge replied. "That's why we need to steal his authority over this world and make him admit his failure to force him to work with us."

Zu An suddenly thought about something and asked, "Which universal deities are working with you?"

The Deity of Bliss and Desire laughed. "Are you probing into the universal deities' internal affairs now? How brazen. But it's not a big deal for me to tell you. Who sent you here?"

Zu An was astonished. Does this mean that the Deity of Memory and Deity of Chaos and Enigma knew about this all along?

It also suddenly occurred to him that carrying Death's authority and Reproduction's seed could be seen as bearing the will of these two universal deities as well. It made him wonder if those two had been in on this as well.

But aren't the Deity of Memory and the Deity of Chaos and Enigma enemies? Many doubts surfaced in Zu An's mind.

The Deity of Bliss and Desire lifted his chin with her finger. "Mi Li and Meng have good eyes. It feels good that I'm taking a bite of the juicy apple they have chosen first."

Those words left Zu An stifled. He launched a counterattack to express his dissatisfaction.

The Deity of Bliss and Desire chuckled. "You have quite the temper."

Zu An quickly calmed down and continued, "This is all a one-sided story from you. How can I know you aren't lying to me?"

There was also a possibility that the Deity of Bliss and Desire was weaving lies to fool him into cooperating with her. If so, he could potentially be backstabbing Mi Li and Meng here by working with the Deity of Bliss and Desire.

"If you doubt my words, why don't you ask them directly?" The Deity of Bliss and Desire looked at Zu An's expression and suddenly laughed. "Ah, I understand. You must be worried that they'll get angry if you reach out to them in this condition."

There was a brief pause before she added, "You'll be helping yourself by helping me."

"What do you mean by that?"

"I noticed you were nervous about your little lovers earlier."

"What does this have to do with them?" Zu An's expression turned cold.

The Deity of Bliss and Desire chuckled. "Have you never wondered why there are so many people in this world that resemble your future lovers?"

Zu An was taken aback. He had wondered about that before. Souls that had been reincarnated through the Six Paths weren't supposed to have bodies identical to their previous incarnations.

"This world has been through countless rounds of simulations. Many beings have been reincarnated many times, but only a handful of special women retained their appearances. Do you know why?" The Deity of Bliss and Desire looked at Zu An with playful eyes.

Zu An looked at the Deity of Bliss and Desire, followed by Daji, and his eyes suddenly widened in astonishment. "Are you saying that they are universal deities as well?"

The Deity of Desire and Bliss shook her head. "Not exactly. They aren't the universal deities you know about. They are the previous generation of universal deities."

Zu An was speechles.
