Lord of the Truth
Chapter 2211: THE state
DOOOOOOOOM
Like the Sun of Truth, the opened eye illuminated the void, its radiance spreading through the endless darkness in golden tides that seemed capable of exposing every hidden secret buried within existence itself.
The nascent and young space beasts stopped once more in respect and fear after they had begun retreating moments ago, their massive bodies trembling instinctively before that overwhelming gaze. Before that gigantic eye, all of them felt like worms... no, even less than that, insignificant specks standing before something they could neither understand nor oppose.
This had nothing to do with power.
They had not frozen this time because they sensed overwhelming strength and suppressive authority like what happened earlier with the ancestral space beast, nor because they were intimidated by a terrifying amount of energy.
No...
They felt as though they stood before a higher existence, an existence fundamentally separated from them on a level deeper than bloodlines, laws, or evolution itself.
Something they should not question, something they should not test, something they instinctively understood they were never meant to challenge.
Even the adult space beasts kept staring at Robin himself, unable to look directly at the eye no matter how fiercely they tried to force themselves. Their instincts screamed warnings inside their minds, primitive terror overwhelming even their battle-hardened consciousnesses. If forced to choose, they would attack the human directly and avoid that gigantic eye without hesitation, even if it meant charging toward death itself.
"Ah... ah..." Althera, Blokan, and Asir opened their eyes and mouths slightly, their minds almost unable to process what they were witnessing.
The appearance of the five Master symbols before their eyes erased everything they knew about cosmic history, shattered every piece of common sense they possessed, especially that colossal eye... Was that supposed to be the symbol of Truth? Did the Master Truth Law even have a symbol to begin with?!
Blokan’s pupils trembled erratically as he stared toward Robin’s back in horror and disbelief, his breathing growing uneven without him realizing it.
That person possessed five Master Laws?!
Five?
How could such a thing even exist?
Even the most monstrous beings in cosmic legends should not be capable of carrying such absurdity within one body without exploding apart under the pressure.
Five? there hasn’t been a record of someone using two! TWO!
As for Morgana, she nearly collapsed entirely.
"It’s the same... It’s the same..."
This was not the first time she had seen that eye, but back then she had not seen it with such form, such power, such clarity, nor had she been capable of comprehending even a fraction of what she was seeing.
Long ago, during Robin’s battle against the specter king Arkalon, Robin had used that eye to annihilate every ghost occupying an entire quarter of the planet, including King Arkalon himself, turning them into soul units and absorbing them as soul creatures!
That scene was still burned into her mind even now, engraved so deeply that merely remembering it made her soul tremble... Through her soul sense back then, she saw the ghosts in fragments, saw the components of the human body, saw Robin treating reality itself like an open book he could alter however he pleased, rewriting existence as though laws and matter were nothing more than words before him.
But the thing she remembered most...
Was that Robin had said he was using the Third Stage of the Truth Law.
The Third Stage back then had allowed him to destroy an enormous specter army led by the genius Arkalon himself, the specter king who possessed Nexus State power at that time, a monster feared across countless regions, known by name by those who know Specter Valley.
But the Third Stage had also left him resembling a corpse, unable to even raise his neck upward, his body so devastated that one of the Imperial Guards had been forced to carry him away while fleeing, his flesh pale and lifeless as though death had already claimed him.
Yet he had just shouted... Fifth Stage?
The Fifth Stage?
Just what kind of monstrous burden was he placing upon his body right now?
"My lord..." Morgana muttered through restrained tears, frightened to the point her fingers trembled uncontrollably, yet unwilling to move against his wishes despite every instinct inside her screaming at her to stop him.
"...."
In that state, a state where he seemed to have surpassed the limits of the human race itself and become something closer to a cosmic phenomenon than a living being, Robin gently raised his hand and slowly wiped the side of his lips.
The pressure crushing his body was horrifying, so horrifying that the skin hidden beneath the golden radiance had already become pale like a specter. Veins bulged beneath his flesh, faint cracks spreading across parts of his arms and neck as though his body was slowly failing under the strain. It was obvious... he was not well.
Yet he had no intention of stopping anything.
Not while he could see the confusion and disbelief in the eyes of the ancestral space beast, where before there had only been arrogance and disdain, not while that creature was finally forced to look at him as something terrifying.
Would he die if he kept flexing his might? Fine... the look he saw right now was worth the price!
So he slightly raised his head.
Woosh Woosh
A green sphere and a blue sphere left Robin’s forehead and rapidly ascended, expanding higher and higher until they became like blazing stars hanging within the void itself, their lights painting the darkness with violent cosmic colors.
One of them poured a green stellar rain over Robin, completely wrapping his body in streams of emerald radiance that surged endlessly through his flesh, forcibly repairing muscles, veins, bones, and organs at terrifying speed. It was Greenland’s blessing of rapid regeneration, desperately trying to keep up with the destruction occurring inside him every passing second.
From the second star descended things resembling feathers. They looked heavy enough to crush mountains, yet drifted downward slowly and gently like fragments of a divine snowfall until they touched Robin one after another.
KRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Robin donned a blue robe over blue, a robe so dense and powerful that space itself warped around it, a robe whose pressure alone caused nearby beasts to lose control of their movements as invisible attraction forces began dragging them toward him against their will.
The moment the robe fully formed, the surrounding void sank slightly, as though reality itself had just gained weight.
At that moment, Robin was like a miniature black hole possessing an overwhelming gravitational pull of its own, a terrifying center of pressure that distorted the surrounding void and caused the nearby space itself to tremble faintly around him.
This was the blessing of the Spirit of the Niahari Galaxy, a blessing powerful enough to suit a Behemoth, a blessing capable of crushing Nexus States and fighting Law Dominators on its own without requiring any additional help.
From afar, Blokan bit lightly against his lower lip, his expression twitching uncontrollably as he stared toward Robin.
In this state... Robin Bur-- no, Lord Robin, could kill him without question.
Not wound him.
Not suppress him.
Kill him.
In this state, the number of Behemoths that Lord Robin could not dominate had become extremely small, a number countable on one hand.
In this state, if he still had enough energy remaining after everything that had happened... no one besides Those three could force a word upon him, no one else in the Mid Sector would dare try to make him do something.
...After reaching this state, a state that made Blokan and the others behind him swallow their saliva in fear and reverence, Robin raised both hands beside his shoulders while staring directly into the eyes of the ancestral space beast itself, his golden pupils calm despite the horrifying pressure crushing his body from the inside.
"Why don’t you throw one of those gentle little energy waves at me now?"
"....?"
The eyes of the space beast immediately transformed with rage.
It was obvious that it understood Robin’s challenge, no... it understood his mockery?!
A mere human... daring to provoke it directly after witnessing its pressure?
Woosh
Faced with such an open provocation, the ancestral space beast truly released another suppressive energy wave, this time clearly stronger than before, stronger to the point that even the surrounding beasts began retreating instinctively before it was fully unleashed.
The void itself distorted violently as the wave surged forward.
"Do you still not understand who you’re dealing with?!" Robin shouted irritably, then waved his hand forcefully.
Hooom~
The cube shifted slightly, only slightly, yet the surrounding spatial tides twisted immediately, causing the direction of the energy wave to change before crashing into several beasts and killing them instantly, their bodies exploding apart before they even realized what happened.
The ancestral beast’s own attack had become a weapon against its army.
Then, before the ancestral space beast could fully process what had happened, it sensed something.
Hooom
A golden wave had emerged from the gigantic eye and was heading toward it!
"...!"
The ancestral space beast was astonished by Robin’s audacity, audacity great enough to make him think he could actually attack it, and it was even more shocked that it could not sense danger or killing intent behind that wave.
There was no pressure.
No murderous aura.
No destructive fluctuation.
Only... pure golden light.
Even so, it narrowed its eyes slightly and created a powerful barrier before itself, layers upon layers of compressed void and energy stacking together instantly into an absolute defense, a barrier that would allow no attack to pass through, a barrier it intended to use immediately afterward to crush that insolent human into dust.
Woof
The golden wave completely ignored the barrier.
As though the barrier did not even exist.
The wave passed through the defense effortlessly and struck the location of the ancestral space beast’s eyes.
"What...?!" Althera and the others opened their eyes to the limit, unable to believe what they had just witnessed.
Even the space beasts began emitting strange noises, all of them staring toward where the ancestral space beast stood in their own ways, confusion and unease spreading through the battlefield.
Even Robin lightly raised an eyebrow.
"So that’s how an ancestral space beast looks..."
"....?"
The crimson eyes of the ancestral beast did not understand at first.
No...
They were no longer crimson.
Nor were the eyes the only visible thing anymore.
The darkness covering its body had vanished.
And then a small, exhausted smile on Robin’s pale face, blood still staining the corner of his lips, followed by a tired voice filled with mockery came up:
"I didn’t expect the terrifying ancestral space beast... to not look very terrifying in the end."
