Magus Supremacy
Chapter 1063: Gritty Clash
Chapter 1063
The moment they had charged at one another, the house they were in was already shuddering in anticipation.
Then their knuckles smashed into each other in a resounding bang that shook the structure hard.
It trembled from the residue of the clash between the two.
Grey didn’t relent.
He immediately swung his second fist, but all it hit was a metal wall that shuddered from the force of the punch, with cracks deepening on the surface like webs.
The barrier then exploded outwardly, sending metallic fragments flying in Grey’s direction.
The warrior-mage vanished from sight immediately, then reappeared behind the man with his fist shooting forward, but Gustav teleported away.
He repositioned himself directly behind the warrior-mage with his leg cocked backward, unleashing a brutal roundhouse kick.
Grey sensed it and whirled around like a storm with his guard raised high.
The kick slammed into his defense with the force of a siege ram.
Cracks deepened on the floor, snaking outward in all directions of the house.
The structure groaned once at the father-and-son clash.
Afterwards, Grey pushed the leg away and bolted forward with a straight jab toward his father’s face.
Metal surrounded the man’s face, absorbing the impact from the punch.
However, the force sent Gustav sliding backward.
He dug his toes into the flooring, splintering it immediately.
The metal surrounding his face receded as a smile curved the man’s lips.
Grey could use his lightning affinity to increase his speed more, but knowing that the man before him could control all lightning, he refrained.
The flooring splintered under the force of his explosive lunge forward.
A punch from the side, from the front, and from above; Grey was moving like a seasoned boxer.
There was nothing he didn’t do.
All the martial arts skills he had learned over the years he spent in Vayun, he was pouring everything here.
Gustav was not only dodging them, he was countering them, forcing the warrior-mage back with every step.
They practically blurred around the house, causing it to let out more soft groans of pain as if begging them to stop.
But they refused.
Stubbornness ran in the Dawn family.
Neither father nor son decided to give the house the respite it sought.
Angling his neck to the side, allowing him to dodge a punch, Grey controlled the ki boots he wore, allowing them to propel him forward and making him get around Gustav immediately.
His leg cracked forward in a lightning-fast roundhouse kick that smashed Gustav into and out of a wall.
Before the warrior-mage could take a step forward, the man bolted back inside the room and unleashed a powerful uppercut into Grey’s jaw.
His lower and upper teeth smashed together with a loud crack as his whole body was lifted off the ground, about to be sent flying upward.
Before he had the chance to fly back, his legs were grabbed and yanked downward, smashing him into the ground.
This caused the cracks that had been spreading to connect, and then the flooring exploded into a rain of broken wood.
The house let out a more powerful groan, as if giving them a final warning.
But they refused.
With his legs still in Gustav’s clutches, Grey reshaped the ki boots on his feet, turning them into razor-sharp spears that sliced through his father’s hand even though it was protected by metal.
This forced the leader of the Otherworlders to bound backward just in time.
The spears reshaped back into boots as Grey placed his hands on the ground, then spun around as if he were performing a breakdance.
As he whirled with his back to the ground and his legs raised, wind howled violently, rushing toward Gustav with a powerful scream.
The man dove to the side, allowing the wind gale to crash into the wall and turn it into splinters.
The house creaked once more in a final, final warning as Grey shot upward with his legs pointed to the ceiling.
Driving his feet into the structure as ki surged through him, he exploded downward, causing the entire ceiling to give way in a rain of debris and wood.
He darted toward Gustav, decking him from the side with a supersonic punch.
The leader of the Otherworlders grabbed the hand on his face with his teeth clenched, blood trickling between his teeth.
He refused to go flying as he swung his head forward, ready to strike back, only for the Supreme Magus to dodge by tilting his head to the side.
Since his hand was grabbed by Gustav, Grey pushed off forcefully, spinning around as if doing a backflip, and instead smashed the sole of his foot into the man’s chin.
The force lifted Gustav off his feet, threatening to hurl him into the air.
But in the same breath, Grey, with his foot still glued to Gustav’s chin, spun around with him while grabbing the man’s hands, restricting his movements.
With that fluid spin, Grey slammed the man into the ground with all his might, the impact further amplified by the use of Ki.
A massive shockwave violently rolled outward.
The structure couldn’t take the strain anymore as Gustav coughed fiercely from the impact.
The house gave one final creak before exploding outward in a storm of splinters, forcefully ejecting the combatants from its zone.
This didn’t stop Gustav.
Clenching his jaw, a huge metal pillar wrapped in lightning burst out in a super-fast lunge, crashing into the Supreme Magus and sending his body shooting into the air like a broken arrow.
Gustav shot to his feet, lightning surrounding his frame as he also rocketed into the sky, pursuing his son and prepared to continue the clash in the upper atmosphere.
That was when Gaja and Salamander paused, watching as their creators reached the sky, ready to delve into an even grittier battle.
Even if it meant razing the entire city to the ground, they would do it.
