Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride
Chapter 1259 - 1254: Bad Timing
Evander Lancaster rushed back to the apartment, just in time to bump into Sophia Hamilton, who was about to go out and confront him.
Today’s morning sickness was severe, so the president let her leave work early to go home and rest.
Too afraid to go home, worried her mother would find out, Sophia had no choice but to seek refuge at Evander’s apartment. Who knew, upon opening the door, she discovered the place looked as if it had just been ransacked.
Sophia thought there had been a burglary. Without bothering to put on slippers, she tiptoed carefully toward the two bedrooms inside. Just as she reached the hallway between the bedrooms, a pungent smell of blood filled her nostrils. She thought her senses were deceiving her, so Sophia stopped to take a careful sniff. The pungent smell only grew stronger. Determining the source of the blood smell, Sophia first went to the guest room on the left. Upon entering, she was stunned.
The floor of the guest room was strewn with a girl’s clothes, and there was a large bloodstain on the sheets, which stained the white floor red.
If Evander hadn’t mentioned his cousin in the morning, she would have thought someone despaired enough to lie on the bed and commit suicide.
But she knew of Willow Lancaster’s existence, and a woman’s intuition told Sophia that this cousin had intentions toward her cousin.
The messy clothes, the bloodstains on the bed, all loudly proclaimed how intense last night’s battle had been, and the bite mark on the ear surely indicated other parts took severe hits too.
Looking at the chaotic battlefield, Sophia sneered coldly in her anger.
She was not unaware of Evander’s intense desires. The first time, she was left swollen there for several days, and the bleeding continued on and off...
After the cold sneer came anger.
She had just become pregnant, and he couldn’t wait to cheat, and with his cousin no less, it was disgusting just to think about it!
In fact, knowing they temporarily couldn’t get the marriage certificate, she had thought about getting an abortion. Although it pained her, she didn’t want to be an unwed mother.
Not to mention whether her mother could be convinced, her relatives at home and colleagues at work would gossip and make snide remarks behind her back.
She had discussed her thoughts with Evander, but he disagreed.
He even threatened viciously, saying if she dared to harm his child, he’d kill her!
Even though Evander had a horrible attitude, her heart was happy at the time. The child was innocent, and the baby in her belly was their love’s fruit, which she couldn’t bear to lose.
So she endured the pressure, thinking as long as she got through these two months, once her belly grew, her mother wouldn’t force her to have an abortion then.
The more Sophia thought about it, the angrier she became, deciding to go confront that scumbag!
Who knew, just as she reached the apartment door, that scumbag walked in himself.
"Sophia? What are you doing here?" Evander was surprised. When he saw the apartment door open, he thought he had forgotten to close it in his hurry to leave with Willow.
"Hmph!" Sophia folded her arms with a cold laugh, her lips curling into a mocking smile, "Oh, so I can’t come to your apartment?"
"That’s not what I meant." Evander walked in, closing the door behind him, "Isn’t it work hours? Why did you leave work early?"
Sophia folded her arms, chuckled, and nodded, "Yes, I must have come at the wrong time. I should have come after work, waiting for you to clean the room, then I wouldn’t have discovered anything."
