Walking around the building where the Mall was situated, they found a fire exit at the back. The door was still intact, showing that no one had accessed the mall since the beginning of the apocalypse.

There were no lights in this area due to a transformer explosion nearby caused by the heat. Without a backup generator, everything was dark inside.

Some of the shops in the mall had backup generators, but the back door didn’t.

Seeing nothing in sight, they walked in with Ye Xuan leading the way.

He made sure that even if something appeared, he would deal with it first and protect Chu Miao and the people behind him.

He led the way and climbed the stairs heading to the back of the first floor. The first floor of the mall housed a large supermarket.

As they walked, they saw a door at the end of the corridor. It looked like it was connected to the supermarket.

So, instead of taking a detour and walking to the front of the mall and entering the supermarket, they decided to do so through the back door.

Using the same method as before, Ye Xuan opened the door in front of them.

He pushed it slowly again and with Chu Miao illuminating the surroundings, found a switch.

After everyone else walked in, they closed the door behind them. Even though the lock was ruined and couldn’t be locked, they could still close it.

The warehouse was filled with hundreds of bags of different types of rice, flour, oil, sugar, snacks, canned goods including meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, beans, mushrooms, and many others.

There were also freezers the size of a room with dairy products like yogurt, cheese, fresh milk, butter, cooking cream, etc inside.

Another freezer had tens of flavors of ice cream and popsicles, while another one was filled with processed food such as sausages, bacon, meatballs, chicken nuggets, and ham.

This was paradise for anyone in the current world where food was becoming scarce by the minute.

"How come this supermarket doesn’t have meat?" Chu Miao asked as she looked around and only saw processed meat but no actual meat.

"There should be a cold room somewhere here. The meat would be there." Ye Xuan replied as he started to look around.

The people around him were hit by a cold air that could freeze anyone. Luckily, the supermarket had several backup generators and even without power for so long, the freezers and cold room were still working.

"Will we take the meat? We can take a little for us to eat for a few days, but taking more would be wasteful. Li Kun’s space cannot keep things fresh for long and the freezers at home still have some things inside." Ye Xuan said after seeing the cold room filled with different types of meat.

"There must be at least 1,000 kilograms of pork, beef, mutton and seafood in here. The chicken and ducks should be at least 500 pieces each.

Leaving these things feels so wrong." Li Kun complained and regretted that his space could not store fresh products.

"You guys take whatever you need, I will take the rest." Chu Hao said.

The other brothers in Ye Xuan’s team turned to look at him. They had already realized that Chu Hao’s space was different and was also large. But they had not expected that it could store fresh products.

But being smart people, no one asked anything. After all, everyone had their own secrets.

"Okay brother. I’ll take ten kilograms of each type of meat, twenty chicken and twenty ducks. Those can be kept in the freezer for a while. We could eat them in two weeks." Li Kun immediately agreed as he moved into the cold storage room to take what he had said.

Any relationship needed reciprocation. If one party was always giving and the other taking, then it could become unbalanced and won’t last long.

Her family approved of her decision and urged the former soldiers to quickly choose.

After they stored what they needed in Li Kun’s space, Chu Hao took everything else and the warehouse was left empty.

The door was locked but that couldn’t stop him. Exiting the warehouse, the group of people found themselves in the aisle of a supermarket filled with baby products.

The soldiers showed no interest in these products that included baby formula, diapers, baby wipes, and other baby products.

Since they didn’t seem to want them, Chu Hao took everything together with their shelves.

Gu Fan turned to look at him with a weird expression and Chu Hao very confidently explained.

"You don’t know what will happen in the future. What if a baby appears in the family? The production of these things has stopped and they are non-renewable. What would we do with a baby without baby products?"

When the others heard that, they turned and looked at their captain in unison. Amongst all of them, he was the most likely to have a baby. After all, he already had a target for the baby’s mother.

Ye Xuan pretended not to see anything and continued inspecting the other shelves. When he saw the amount of baby products Chu Hao had taken, adding the ones from the warehouse, he knew that there was no need to worry about baby products even if he did nothing.

He could focus on getting stronger to protect the baby if he and Chu Miao had one in the future.

As he was browsing through the aisles, he suddenly stopped and looked in a certain direction. Chu Miao was also looking in the same direction with a solemn expression.
