Chapter 81: Chapter 80: Then You Can’t Blame Mianmian

Mianmian didn’t know someone was secretly watching her.

She returned to the show’s house with the other guests, and Youyou said she had learned a clapping game from mom and wanted to play it with her.

So the two little buns moved some chairs and sat in the courtyard, playing the simple clapping game.

The Yin siblings, along with two boys, sat quietly on their little stools beside them, watching the girls.

After a while, perhaps finding it boring, Wang Ze approached, "I want to play too, can I join you?"

Mianmian immediately said, "Sure."

But Youyou wasn’t happy, pouting her little mouth, "Girls should play with girls, and boys with boys, that’s how it is in kindergarten too."

Wang Ze felt a bit angry upon hearing this, "Who says so? In our kindergarten, boys can play with girls too, it must be your kindergarten that’s not good."

Youyou got angry as well, "My kindergarten is very nice! Mianmian, isn’t that right?"

Mianmian was a bit confused, her large, round eyes filled with bewilderment, "I don’t know, I’ve never been to kindergarten. What is it? Why do you go there? Can it be ridden?"

The Su Family members hadn’t yet explained the concept of school to Mianmian, so she still didn’t know that children had to go to school.

[Ah, our little auntie’s confused little gaze, does she not know about going to school?]

[She doesn’t even know this, could it be she used to live away from civilization?]

[Looking forward to little auntie experiencing the tough love of school, (funny)]

"What’s a mount?" Youyou couldn’t understand Mianmian’s words and was confused, so the two little buns stared at each other with wide eyes.

Wang Ze didn’t know either and waited for Mianmian to explain.

"It’s something you can sit on, and then it carries you around, uh, kind of like a car, which also takes us places when we sit in it." Mianmian gestured with her hands and even mimed riding a horse.

Suddenly understanding, Wang Ze said, "Oh, my dad took me to the ranch. Riding a horse is just like that."

"Right, right, a horse is a mount, and people used to travel by horse," Mianmian laughed, "Riding a horse is really fun."

Wang Ze nodded in agreement, "Yeah, riding a horse is super fun!"

Youyou had never been to a ranch and couldn’t join the conversation, which made her very anxious.

She thought long and hard until she finally figured out something to ask Mianmian, "Which kindergarten do you go to, Mianmian? Let’s go to the same one, shall we?"

Again, Mianmian was puzzled, "But you haven’t told me what a kindergarten is?"

Beating Wang Ze to it, Youyou told Mianmian, "Kindergarten has lots of kids to play with, teachers lead us in games, and there’s lots of yummy food, even better than grandma’s cooking."

"Oh!" Mianmian found the idea appealing, "Then I’ll discuss it with my family when I get home and see which kindergarten to go to."

While they were talking, Liu Hui came out with her suitcase, calling her daughter, "Youyou, you play here, mommy will go clean the room."

Youyou found herself in a dilemma.

She learned in kindergarten that children should help adults with work, but she also really wanted to play with Mianmian. Just as she was conflicted, Mianmian spoke up, "Huihui, I can clean rooms too, let me help."

Xu Weiwei had also finished packing by then and came out pushing her suitcase. Her room was quite far from Liu Hui’s, so she asked her son if he wanted to come with her.

"I don’t, I want to go help Youyou’s mom in her room with Mianmian," Wang Ze quickly replied.

Xu Weiwei was slightly taken aback, finding the situation both amusing and distressing.

Her son had become much better behaved, not throwing tantrums on the floor anymore, and even when he got angry at her, the mention of Mianmian would quickly calm him down.

But the fact that her son chose Mianmian over her still made her feel a bit odd as a mother.

However, Xu Weiwei loved her son and knowing there wouldn’t be any issues at Mianmian’s, she was about to agree to his wish. Just as she was about to speak, she heard Mianmian say, "No, Zeze, your mom has to clean too, you should help her."

"Then will you come and help at my place?" Wang Ze asked Mianmian eagerly.

Youyou quickly grabbed Mianmian’s hand, "No way, Mianmian already said she’d help my mom."

Mianmian quickly suggested, "How about I help out in turns?"

Upon hearing this, Liu Hui smiled and said, "Cleaning is a lot of trouble, why don’t you all go help Zeze’s mom first?"

Mianmian shook her head, "It’s not troublesome at all, it’ll be done in no time."

Liu Hui couldn’t help but be curious upon hearing this, "A house that hasn’t been lived in for years would be very difficult to clean. There’s so much stubborn dust, how could it be cleaned up so quickly?"

"Does Little Auntie have a special method?"

Mianmian nodded, "Yep."

The group headed towards the house assigned to Liu Hui and upon arrival, they realized that the condition of the house was truly poor. It was at the very western edge of the village, with red-bricked walls, broken tiles, and there were even cracks on the walls.

Beneath the eaves, there were spider webs everywhere and a lot of dust.

Even with mental preparation, Liu Hui was startled.

How could it be so dirty and so run-down?

If her house was like this, wouldn’t Xu Weiwei’s house be even less livable?

Liu Hui frowned and used the key to push the door open and walk in.

Her palm print was left on the red door, showing how much dust was there. And when she looked down at her palm, wow, it turned black.

[My goodness, cleaning this up is going to take such a long time.]

[This house must have been uninhabited for at least a decade. I wonder how the Director got hold of the keys.]

[Can Youyou live comfortably in this house? She’s a child from the Big City.]

[Hahaha, seems like your worries are pointless, look at what they’re doing?]

What are they doing?

The two Little Buns were drawing on the door.

Mianmian, with her mouth spread in a grin, knew she was being mischievous, so she kept her mouth puckered like a little fox, looking sly while smiling.

She drew Bai Bai on the door, and even drew the Moon for Bai Bai to howl at. A little person was sitting on the white wolf’s back - a simple stick figure with a curved, adorable smile.

Seeing Mianmian drawing on the door, Gu Youyou also reached out her small hand and drew a stick figure with braided hair holding hands next to Mianmian’s drawing, with crooked and twisted lines.

Little Friend Wang Ze saw that Mianmian and Gu Youyou had drawn themselves, so he quickly added a stick figure boy with a similar style next to theirs, with three tufts of hair for his hair.

Upon seeing this, Chu Ye, expressionless, raised his hand and began to draw beneath Mianmian’s drawing.

His drawing was like Mianmian’s, also a child riding on something.

When Gu Youyou and Wang Ze saw Chu Ye’s drawing, they pouted and hurriedly added little animals above it.

The staff recorded this entire scene. Since the name of the Variety Show was "Cute Baby’s Daily Life," the actions of the cute babies should be highlighted.

When Mianmian realized everyone was drawing, she stepped back to look and then simply added the Sun and some grass, completing the picture even more.

"All done," Mianmian happily clapped her hands, then suddenly felt a tickle in her nose and reached up to touch it.

Gu Youyou saw and was startled, "Mianmian, there’s a bug!!"

It turned out to be a spider that had landed on Mianmian’s face, and by then, it had already crawled onto her palm.

Mianmian walked outside and blew on the little spider, then clapped her hands, "All righty, I’m going to clean now, everyone stay back."

The children all listened to Mianmian and ran far away from her, one by one.

Liu Hui, who had just opened all the house windows to air it out, was also chased out by Mianmian.

The guests weren’t in the house, but the staff had to be there. When Mianmian chased them out, they could only explain, "Little Auntie, my job is to film you, you can’t send me away, otherwise what would Director Hu do if he criticized me?"

"Okay then, but you can’t blame Mianmian, okay?"

"I won’t blame you, just go ahead and do whatever you need to do quickly."

After getting the assurance from the staff, Mianmian grinned, showing her neat, white teeth, with the same expression she had when drawing on the door with dust.

She lifted her little hand and drew lines in mid-air, then gently blew on them.

Only visible to her, the invisible charm turned into an enigmatic force that dispersed, and a gust of wind suddenly arose in the room. The breeze swept the dust out through the wide-open windows and onto the ground.

The viewers in the Live Broadcast Room saw the dust flying up and exclaimed at how magical it was, only to realize in the next second that their high-definition screens had become dirty, as if covered by a layer of dust obscuring their view.

What they couldn’t see, of course, was that the staff on-site were covered in dust, turning into "Dust People."
