Chapter 476: Introductions

Refusing to back down even an inch, I continued to stare at the woman. "I’m Hattie," I said at last. It was getting annoying that no one had actually introduced themselves.

"Li Dai Lu," replied the woman, her head held high. "Wang Chao, War. Liu Wei, Death. Liu Yu Feng, Disease. Chen Zi Han, Famine." She pointed to each one of the men as she introduced them, and they, in turn, lifted their heads up just a bit higher.

"You know, it’s not nice to call one of your men a disease," I smirked. I knew enough to know that she was introducing me to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, but really, she had nothing on me.

"Ah, but it’s so much fun to watch men and women screaming in pain as they get eaten from the inside out," smirked the Joker... Liu Yu Feng. "You can try it, if you want."

"You already have," I replied, completely calling him out. "How did that work for you?"

There was silence as I reminded all of them that I wasn’t like their normal victims. Mostly because I wasn’t a victim.

"Now, what is your wish?" I pressed. I really, really didn’t want the guys to show up, but that ticking clock in my head made me realize that I was running out of time. "Tick tock."

"I told you, I don’t have a wish," replied Li Dai Lu. Spinning around, she went back to sit down on the couch beside War... Wang Chao. "So you can just fuck off."

Letting out a long sigh, I closed my eyes. I swear, trying to deal with her was like banging my head against a brick wall. Hell, the brick wall might actually be easier to deal with than this Lady. "Come up with anything," I advised. "Seriously. Wish for cake, wish for a bigger RV, wish for more men. I don’t care. Just make a wish so I can go home."

Li Dai Lu raised her eyebrows as she smirked at me. "In case you missed it, I already have four."

"Four," I agree, nodding my head. "So cute. Why not fit a few more into the equation?"

Everyone inside the RV could feel the shifting of air, letting me know that I was officially out of time.

"It’s not my fault!" I wailed the second Chang Xuefeng appeared in the middle of the RV. He stood in front of the rest of the guys, and I was right... the RV really wasn’t big enough for all of us. "She made a wish and then refused to let me grant it!"

"So she’s the reason why you are back here?" asked Daddy, his voice deceptively calm as he stared Li Dai Lu down.

"Back here?" I asked, cocking my head to the side. "I’ve been here before?"

"Country K," nodded Dimitri, his eyes focused on Liu Wei and Liu Yu Zeng.

I raised an eyebrow, still not cluing in. "Camp Hell," continued Daddy, stroking my hair the moment I got close to him. "The Alpha."

Blinking rapidly, it probably took me longer than it should have to remember Camp Hell. Honestly, it seemed like a lifetime ago.

"You were in Camp Hell?" asked Li Dai Lu, sitting up straighter on the couch. "You know the Alpha?"

Turning my attention to Daddy, I waited for him to answer her. "Yes," he said at last, his cold attitude making me want to smile. "We were both there until the Alpha begged us to leave."

"And you didn’t think to take the Healer with you?" screamed the woman, coming to her feet. If looks could kill... I would still be alive. "How could you leave her there? How could you leave anyone there?"

Dimitri growled low under his breath as he squeezed between Tank and Dante. Coming to stand beside me, he stared down at the woman. "I didn’t like you the first time I met you, and I don’t like you now. Watch how you speak to her."

"Wanna try that again?" demanded Liu Wei, coming toe to toe with Dimitri. "When did you meet her?"

"Idiot," hissed Dimitri, his eyes flashing bright red. For a moment, I really thought he was going to rip Death’s head off his shoulders. I wonder if the head would grow back... I mean, Death can’t really die... right?

"Grandfather?" hissed the Joker, stepping forward until he and Liu Wei stood shoulder to shoulder. I was starting to become a bit claustrophobic with all the bodies pressing in around me.

"Grandfather?" I smirked, looking at the man. "I mean, I know you are older than me, but you don’t look your age at all."

Dimitri turned his head to glare at me, his eyes that much softer than before. "One of them was supposed to be my new meat sack, once the old man died. Then they found this one."

Shrugging my shoulders, I pulled Dimitri down to my level and kissed his cheek. "Don’t worry, I like this body a whole lot better."

"As long as you are satisfied," he grunted, picking me up so that I was seated on his forearm. With this height, I was finally able to feel the cool air on my face, and I managed to calm down a bit. frёeωebɳovel.com

"I think I am going to need some answers," announced Li Dai Lu, stepping back so that she was seated on the couch again.

"You have the Four Horsemen," I shrugged, the smile on my face firmly fixed. "I have the Seven Deadly Sins, the Grim Reaper, and a Hellhound."

"I think I take offense to that," announced Eric, pulling my attention away from the woman. "You keep forgetting about me."

"Sorry," I cringed, feeling bad. "And Cain."

"Cain?" muttered the chef, Chen Zi Han. "As in the first murderer?"

"That would be me," agreed Eric. "And while you seem to look down on me, I am older than almost all of you, so a little respect, please."

"Why are you here?" grunted Liu Wei, his eyes never leaving Chang Xuefeng’s. "There are rules."

"What?" sneered Daddy, stepping up to Death. "Scared? I’m kind of interested to see just what will happen with two Deaths in the same place. Do you think one of us will die? I mean, that’s the rule, right? If there is more than one Death in a territory, then one of them must die."

"I’d like to see them try."
