Betrayed by Fiance, Embraced by Hidden Tycoon-Chapter 277: Milan Is In Danger!
Chapter 277: Milan Is In Danger!
Today, Abigail went to her office and worked as usual. She was so immersed in her work but got distracted when she received an unexpected text from Milan asking her to have lunch at her favorite restaurant.
Abigail placed her pen on the table and read the message several times; her frown clearly showed her confusion.
"Why did Milan suddenly text me? Wasn’t she supposed to visit her sick father in her hometown?"
Curious, Abigail decided to call. However, when she heard the voice on the other end, her expression instantly shifted from curiosity to fear.
"Tsk... tsk... Abigail, you bitch! You finally called me!" Vanessa’s icy voice echoed from the other end, causing Abigail to freeze.
’Since when did Milan’s cell phone number belong to Vanessa?’ Abigail wondered, shocked and struggling to understand the situation.
"Abigail? Are you there? Did you hear me?" Vanessa’s impatient voice came from the other end, bringing Abigail’s wandering mind back to reality.
As she tightly held her cell phone, a chilling thought crossed Abigail’s mind—Milan was in danger.
"Where’s Milan?" she asked calmly, but her trembling hand gave her away. She was terrified that Vanessa might harm Milan. If Vanessa does that, she will be furious.
"Chill, big sister..." Vanessa playfully tones, only to fuel Abigail’s anger. Still, she restrained herself from letting Vanessa know about it.
"If you want to meet Milan, you can meet her here. I will send you the address—"
"Vanessa, you—"
"Stop interrupting me, Sister Abigail! Or you will never meet Milan. Forever!" Vanessa’s angry tone rang clear from the other end.
Abigail clenched her fists tightly, her heart frozen at Vanessa’s words.
’Damn it! Why can’t they leave me alone? Why is this bitch still bothering me? And now she’s trying to use Milan to pressure me, too?’ Abigail vented her anger while waiting for Vanessa to finish her sentence.
"Sister, don’t worry. Milan is my friend, too. I won’t hurt her, trust me. But I need your cooperation. You must come to the address I’m about to send you now." Vanessa no longer sulked as before; she sounded friendly, but Abigail didn’t trust her.
Abigail could no longer restrain herself from speaking. "Seriously, Venessa? If you want something from me, just say it. Why did you involve Milan?"
"Bitch! I wouldn’t have gone this far if you hadn’t blocked my number or rejected all anonymous calls. YOU made me do this, Abigail." Vanessa’s voice trembled with emotion.
"What do you want?" Abigail asked sharply.
"What the hell, Abigail! You hear me! I told you to come to the address I sent. I’ll wait for you for just one hour. If you don’t show up, I promise you, you’ll never see Milan again." Vanessa snapped before hanging up, leaving Abigail in shock.
"Damn it, Vanessa Snow! How dare you?!" Abigail cursed as she stared at her cell phone in horror. She tries to think clearly, but a fog fills her mind. She just can’t think straight.
Shortly after, a text message from Milan’s cell phone number informed the specific address.
Abigail quickly looked up the location and was surprised to find it was a restaurant near the city border. She has to drive there for about 40 minutes.
She quickly grabbed her bag and rushed to the door. She didn’t have much time.
However, before she pressed the elevator button, another text appeared.
"Don’t bring anyone else, Abigail! Or you’ll regret it!"
’Damn you, Vanessa!’ she vented her frustration and stepped into the elevator in anger; Vanessa was testing her patience.
Abigail was unclear about Vanessa’s intentions, but she suspected they were connected to her relationship with Ryland.
The most recent news Abigail had heard was that Vanessa and Ryland had conflicts, and he appeared to be distancing himself from her after his company encountered financial difficulties.
She hesitated about whether to go with Vincent or alone. After getting into the elevator and descending to the basement, she decided to go by herself—ensuring Milan’s safety.
However,
As soon as the elevator doors opened, Abigail stopped in her tracks. She was taken aback to see Vincent standing there as if he had been waiting for her.
’How did he know I got off?’ she murmured, convinced no one had seen her enter the elevator.
"Young Madam, where are you going?" Vincent asked casually, noticing the shock in Abigail’s eyes as she stared at him. She instinctively hid her bag behind her back, but he had already caught a glimpse of it.
When they arrived at this building, he remembered that his lady boss had said she had no plans to leave the office. She had even ordered lunch. But now, it was eleven o’clock, and she had already gone out.
Noticing her silence and the way her eyes appeared to tremble with confusion, he added, "Allow me to drive for you, ma’am," as he walked towards the car.
Abigail remained frozen in place, her hands clenched tightly, as she remembered the short message she had received from Vanessa.
"Ma’am, you know I can’t let you drive alone, right?" Vincent said, standing next to the car and waiting for her.
Abigail could only walk toward the car; she knew well she couldn’t refute Vincent’s words.
She felt somewhat annoyed because Vanessa was trying to provoke her while Sawyer was away in Orange Town, where he was visiting one of his businesses managed by Ronan Peters.
After reflecting for a while, Abigail chose to be honest with Vincent. Once the car left the building, Abigail told Vincent their destination and what happened: someone kidnapped Milan.
Although shocked, Vincent said nothing further; he simply drove as usual. At the same time, he was thinking about what to do next—they didn’t have much time to get there on time.
When their car halted at a red light, Vincent promptly sent several text messages to Ethan.
"This is urgent! Check Lady Boss’s cell phone now—her last call and text!"
"Man, you must also trace my car’s location and GPS destination. Be sure to send someone there without anyone noticing they are related to us."
"Don’t ask me—just act now, Ethan!"
"This is my final text. Please clear the traffic signal for me. Thanks, buddy!"
After sending the last text message, he continued to drive. A faint smile appeared on Vincent’s lips when he realized no more red lights were stopping them. It seems Ethan understood his instruction.
He feels relieved while driving his car, but occasionally, he glances in the rearview mirror and sees Abigail. Her gloomy expression makes him worried about her.
"Ma’am, have you told your husband about this?" Vincent asked. He wanted to notify Sawyer but didn’t have time to do so.
Vincent’s question made Abigail swallow hard. She wanted to reach out to Sawyer but was concerned that her husband would panic; she understood how crucial Sawyer’s business was in Orange Town.
"Not yet. Do we need to tell him?" she asked, puzzled.
"It’s fine not to inform him right now, ma’am. I’ve already contacted Ethan; he’ll take care of it before we get there," Vincent explained.
"Ethan? You contacted him?" Abigail was taken aback, a relieved smile slowly spreading across her face. Earlier, she had also meant to call Ethan but forgot after speaking with Vincent.
"Yes, as you can see, we no longer need to stop. I asked him to clear the way for us so we could arrive on time, ma’am. Don’t worry; he will also investigate what really happened to Miss Milan."
"Thank you, Vincent. I’m just worried; Milan is hurt. If that happens, I won’t be able to forgive myself if she suffers because of me." That’s what she’s concerned about.
Abigail smiles bitterly, recalling what her family did to her, turning her life and her late mother into hell.
When she succeeded in imprisoning Adam Snow, it clearly wasn’t enough to make Vanessa stop messing with her. Today, she will put an end to it all and send her to prison as well. She doesn’t care anymore, even though that wicked woman is pregnant.

At Mother Recipe restaurant,
In the quiet VIP room, Vanessa paced back and forth, biting her thumb out of nervousness.
"What if that bitch Abigail comes with someone else?"
Vanessa stopped and turned to her mother, sitting in a chair with a cup of tea in her hands.
"Mom, did you know she doesn’t have any friends? She also doesn’t have the time or money to pay for bodyguards, right?" Vanessa answered with a satisfied smile.
"Don’t underestimate Abigail. Have you forgotten how she moved her grandma without us knowing? Even the people your father paid could be caught by authorities and forced to testify against your father’s crime?" Betty tried to present a harsh reality to her daughter, who could no longer think clearly.
Betty felt sorry for her daughter. Her stomach was growing, yet Ryland didn’t want to marry her. The man was even starting to avoid her daughter, leaving them with no choice but to resort to extreme plans, like what they were doing now.
They had kidnapped Milan to draw Abigail out of hiding, and it seemed her daughter’s plan had succeeded.
