Chapter 102: The Evil Ghost

On the way, Cheng Yu insisted on sitting beside the young man and couldn’t help but persuade him.

"Student, I know you are worried about your friend but I think it’s better for you to go back to the hospital." Even if Qin An looked very cold, that didn’t drive him away and became even more naggy.

"Listen, if you keep on insisting and something will happen again, won’t that worry your friends again?" Cheng Yu looks very worried as a Doctor but not until his next question that he finally reveals his true nature.

"By the way... did you know what happened earlier?" His eyes flash in a strange light like what Professor Jian did. Others also stiffen and subconsciously peek with their ears to listen.

"You..." Cheng Yu nervously rubs his hands together. "If... if you know what’s that, why don’t you tell me how that happened? DId you know why it happened? What about the sphere? Or is that energy from the sphere so you wanted it badly?"

"..."

Qin An didn’t say anything and was just looking outside the tinted glass. His face was solemn as he was thinking about something important so others didn’t say anything anymore and remained silent too. He Li stopped looking at them and just crossed his arms and waited.

When they finally arrived, Qin An wasted no time and ran inside the training camp. He knew that others would immediately follow him but he didn’t care. At this moment, he only wants to go to the clinic or otherwise Lu Nanxiao would be in total danger.

That’s right. He knew that Lu Nanxiao is currently having a riot again because of the evil ghost. He knew that the ghost was only sober for a moment and would definitely target Lu Nanxiao again when he became insane. That evil ghost knew that only if he could completely possess Lu Nanxiao could he become powerful and let his greed be fulfilled.

Since Qin An had his power and identity back, then it’s time to do his work again.

As of now, helping Lu Nanxiao would also clearly reveal his status and identity to others but he doesn’t care. As long as He Li knew he had the capability to help this world, he could stand upright. Besides, he has no ill intention too. There’s no reason for them to reject him no matter how absurd it is for them to believe his identity and how the world didn’t seem to what they lived in.

When they arrived at the clinic, they saw the attending doctor and the nurses gathering inside the clinic and some trainees were slightly away from the glass wall but watching worriedly inside.

They also noticed him and He Yan and others quickly went closer to him.

"Qin An?" He Yan’s face lit up upon seeing him but frowned again when he saw others coming in. "Brother? What are you doing here?"

He Li didn’t answer and set his sights on Qin An. The young man stared at the patient inside and looked at everyone.

"Leave here."

The crowd looked at him in confusion.

"Qin An?" Shen Lou frowns but before they could ask what’s going on, He Li speaks the order.

"Everyone will leave." He Li coldly announced. The crowd quickly dispersed and helpless. Over time, only Qin An, He Li, his team, Cheng Yu, Professor Liang and the staff inside remain.

Qin An still didn’t move and stared inside.

Cheng Yu frown. "Student Qin—"

"The staff inside will leave too."

"??!" They look at He Li with shock on his command.

"The staff inside? They are the doctors and nurses who are currently attending a patient, they cannot leave!" Cheng Yu couldn’t help but reject it. If they leave, who will stabilize the patient inside?!

However, He Li didn’t answer and just waved at Ji Wen. Others were even helpless and could only gritted their teeth and do what he wants.

They let the staff inside leave the clinic and the young man inside was still groaning in pain and even some small shouts from his mouth occasionally escaped. Only did Qin An move again and went directly inside the room.

"Student Qin, it’s dangerous!" Hong Xinan and others look worried. It’s very dangerous to go near a rioting patient or else he might be infected.

Yet in the next moment, they saw Qin An easily went closer and didn’t look affected.

"Was it because he doesn’t have mental power so he’s not affected?" Cheng Yu wondered. That is possible but the patient’s situation looks so much worse than anyone. Besides, he remembered the young man’s past condition and knew that Qin An fainted the last time he went closer to Lu Nanxiao.

Will this happen again?

What happened to He Yan back then was just a low-level riot so the doctors didn’t worry when they asked Qin An to help but it’s different now. The red flashes of light and the occasional beeping from the machine is indicating that the patient is slowly reaching the critical point. This situation is similar to the soldiers at war.

Being infected by the Zergs will make their mental power be consumed by the pollution until they finally reach the point that there’s nothing that could help them.

Sometimes, only death can ease their pain.

Thus resulting in other casualties because there are always cases wherein soldiers die not from the war but due to the extreme pain from riots.

Qin An finally got close to Lu Nanxiao. He looks at the dark resentment entangling the young man. It looks like a black snake strangling Lu Nanxiao’s body. He also saw the body of the evil ghost inside constantly sucking the remaining energy of the young man. He seems to desperately want to drain everything until he could finally claim the body.

Qin An’s eyes flash coldly. He raises his hand and directly grabs the resentment in front of him and throws it away from Lu Nanxiao’s body.

"E-Euck!" Lu Nanxiao groaned in pain and relief when the thing that seemed to strangle his neck finally disappeared. He gasped to catch his breath desperately but finally collapsed and lost his consciousness because of lack of energy and strength.

Qin An turn his head away and look at directly at the evil ghost in front of him. The face of the ghost isn’t recognizable anymore. It’s covered with black mist and its eyes is totally red.

Seeing the familiar enemy that he’s been facing for thousands of years, Qin An inexplicably felt a sense of belonging and excitement deep inside him.

He didn’t expect he would miss his former job. It seems that what the Judge said is true.

Being a grim reaper is his fate.
