[BL] Debut in Interstellar After Retiring as Grim Reaper-Chapter 106: Balance
Chapter 106: Chapter 106: Balance
Chapter 106: Balance
For a very long time ago, Earth was described as paradise and was called to be the Mother of all beings. That planet was the home of every living thing in the world. However, as time passed by, dangers slowly covered the planet.
What the humans did to ’improve’ their lives also became the reason why the home slowly died. Before the zergs actually came, natural disasters came one after another. That seems to serve as the final warning for humans to repent.
Yet what did everyone do? Technology emerges even more. Although it helped them, the paradise gradually disappeared and some things became extinct.
That fact made their face flush red, feeling extremely ashamed. Even though they are from Earth, the words that Qin An said are for their ancestors themselves.
"When zergs came, the balance became even again. It somehow taught you a lesson to repent and survive. It also gave you a lesson of treasuring what you had. To survive, you were able to evolve and had the strength to fight."
"Since we already repented, why do we have mental pollution? Did we do anything wrong again?" Hong Xinan asked but this time, Qin An shook his head.
"No. But you became powerful again. As I said, the law in this world would not let anyone stand on top to control. Having mental pollution will balance the harmony of good and evil in this world. If there’s no pollution, what will happen to this world? Aside from fighting on zergs, wars will also begin. If it weren’t for that thing that made you become one and help each other to solve this matter, how can there be peace?"
"Only by easing this harm will the law be balanced again. You cannot eliminate this." This time is probably the first time that Qin An said so many things and it is still not enough. He really didn’t like talking too much but because he needs to explain, he can tolerate it.
"..."
Silence engulfed the whole room. Everyone was thinking about his words. It seems that they became enlightened by his words and were no longer angry about the tragic things that happened to them.
Qin An is right.
Everything that happened to them is the result of many things. Instead of feeling aggrieved and resentful, it’s better to find a way to balance the world so they can finally get the peace they’ve wanted.
"But... how to?" Cheng Yu asked.
"Resentment came from the souls. The reason why it became powerful is because of the accumulated energy all over the years. If this won’t be resolved, it will only influence everyone."
"???" But it seems that everyone was still confused. What souls? What energy? How did that happen? It appears that these words are from the history of Earth that they thought were just some myths and stories. Judging from what Qin An is saying... Did he mean the unsolved mysteries even from the pasts are true?
Qin An explained the situation about this interstellar for a while and gave them time to digest everything. While they fell in silence again after hearing everything, it was He Li who broke the jar.
"Then what about you?" He Li’s eyes still have doubts and wariness even after hearing everything. "Who are you?"
"A grim reaper." Qin An repeated what he said earlier. "I am the guide who’ll send the souls and defeat the demons in this world."
"You’re not a human?"
Qin An was slightly stunned at that question and didn’t answer. He looked at his body and felt the warmth inside him.
He felt... like still a human.
His eyes flash. It seems that the Judge decided to let his body stay as human to continue the life he had even for this responsibility. Was this compensation? He really didn’t know what to feel or think.
But one thing he’s sure of. "I am." He’s still a human even after regaining his past self.
"How can you prove that everything you’ve said is true?" He Li threw an interrogative question again.
"You’ve felt the energy earlier. It’s a spiritual energy that could help eliminate the resentments inside your body. As for the souls however, you don’t have the physique to see things." Qin An knew that no one in this world could see things from their side. Or else this matter will not be considered as a ’story’ from the first place.
Recalling that gentle energy they felt, it somehow ease their doubt and suspicion but still they didn’t let their guards down.
"So you can’t prove that there’s souls?" Ji Wei asked.
"I cannot let you see them in normal circumstances... but, I have another way of proving it." Qin An finally lay his eyes on someone.
That someone is standing in front of the door. It seems to be guarding in case he’ll try to escape.
... Even if it’s a soul who cannot do anything against him.
That’s right. A new soul.
Qin An noticed him after waking up at the hospital but he’s been busy with other things. Now it’s only the right time to deal with this.
Others also look in the direction which Qin An is looking at but see nothing and only the door. They thought he wanted to go out and do something but before they could ask, Qin An started speaking again while still facing the ’door’.
"Tell me something about you." When Qin An directly met his eyes, that ghost looked startled. Now that he talked, it gasped and its eyes lit up.
That man is quite tall and looks like one of the members of the Marshal’s team but has a stronger appearance. It was wearing a battlefield uniform with a lot of tattered and blood covering itself. There’s also a hole on it’s stomach and that seems to be the reason for his death.
"What’s your name?" Qin An asked. Since these ghosts are following them, it’s easy to prove his ability.
The ghost hesitated for a bit before answering with his hoarse voice. "F-Fu Minghao."
Qin An nods and faces He Li again.
"There’s a ghost here to prove what I’m saying. This ghost..." He slightly glanced at the member who looked similar to the ghost. "His name is Fu Minghao."
"???"
"!!!!"
"W-What?!" That name suddenly changed the cold atmosphere. The members gasp in shock and show a mixture of disbelief and anxiety on their faces especially a member named Fu Minglei who’s apparently the younger brother of the ghost. Even Cheng Yu and Professor Jian looked surprised by the name he uttered.
Only He Li who quickly calms himself and stares at him vigilantly.
"Don’t try to play tricks." He Li suddenly warned, looking at him with a bit of killing intent. This is clearly warning him to not play jokes or else something serious consequences would be bestowed upon him.
Qin An narrowed his eyes when he felt a coercion around him. Is he threatening him?
