Chapter 135: Ghost Attack

On that one morning, everything inside the training camp was still peaceful. They had no idea what was going on outside and were just focused on practicing their performances.

All throughout the night, the families from the trainees investigated the matter about the fake information but could not.

It’s not that these families are not more powerful than the Cao family, especially Shen Lou and He Yan’s top family. But the main system is very strict when it comes to this information.

The system was set to protect anyone’s privacy for whatever reasons it may be. It’s the same for everyone, no matter how powerful a background you have.

Only the military can access it and it even needs some high permissions to look at. That is why Bai Yue was very confident in doing this because he knew that they would have a hard time tracking him.

He also knew that the military won’t give them access to trace him since it’s not an emergency.

As long as they cannot access the system, they will never find out.

But Bai Yue forgot that the name he included was not just the trainees but the name of a very important person in the Federation— Marshal He Li.

As soon as his team came back from a meeting from another planet, they were informed about what was happening on the Starnet. Originally, this matter would not reach to He Li. There are too many people who already tried hyping themselves to him, constantly trying to take advantage.

Naturally those who seek trouble would eventually take punishment from their lawyers to take charges. But even so, many are still doing it for the sake of the limelight. Thus, when this matter was posted, many thought Qin An was also one of those people— even the Marshal’s support team thought so too.

But since all the matters must go to Ji Wen no matter how big or small it is, the marketing team that ensures the Marshal’s reputation sends it to Ji Wen.

Fortunately, Ji Wen had the habit of checking every message inside his email so he saw the mess outside. He quickly went to the Marshal and informed him not just about Qin An but also for He Yan and Shen Lou.

He Li frowned in irritation. They had already been facing enough problems to deal with everyday, who is messing up this time?

"Check it. Find out who’s behind this." He Li ordered.

"Yes, Marshal."

"Are the documents about the inhibitors ready?"

"Yes, it’s ready. Doctor Cheng Yu also requested to join us and let him explain about the materials to Qin An, Marshal."

"Okay. Prepare the car and we’ll set off to see him."

He Li thought about the last conversation they had and remembered the young man’s words. Since he already knew the bottom line on how much he’ll help them, maybe they could also start now.

On the other hand inside the training camp, while everyone was busy, they did not expect a sudden situation again.

Inside the training room, Han Suwen and others are busy practicing together.

"Okay, that’s good. Can we try another try?" Bai Yue gently asked them and the members agreed without hesitation even with the huge sweat on their bodies.

Bai Yue smiles. "Or maybe we could take a break? I think everyone is tired already."

A trainee shook his head amidst his catching breath. "N-No, Senior. We’re fine! We can still take another shot, or even more!"

Bai Yue chuckles. "It’s really great to see everyone cooperating. Then, shall we?"

The members formed again to their position.

"Hey, Han Suwen. Your position is not in the place that the Senior pointed earlier. Quickly go." A trainee casually said this even though it was Han Suwen who is their Captain. The members also chimed in and it seems like everyone didn’t take his original position anymore. They don’t even call him the Captain, what’s more, listening to him?

These days, it is obvious that the members listen to Bai Yue more than him. He has no voice inside the team. However, even though the members are not treating him right, Han Suwen himself didn’t speak or refute them. It was as if he just let everyone decide what to do and was only busy doing it for himself. This made the members disappointed and didn’t care about him anymore.

Bai Yue was about to say something when he suddenly felt a strange cold wind behind him. This made him subconsciously shiver and he turned his head but didn’t see anything. Yet even though he couldn’t see, the cold air was still there and kept on brushing on his skin.

"!!!" This strange feeling made him still as creepiness slowly ignited inside him.

Looking at others whose face looks normal, it’s obvious that they didn’t notice anything unusual.

Bai Yue could only shake his head slightly and thought maybe it was just an illusion. But just as he was about to ignore it, that cold wind seemed to draw closer on his back that he could feel his heart beating fast and his mind went blank.

Then... Bai Yue hears a whisper beside his ear.

"Is it fun?"

"???" He looks around in doubt. Did he hear something?

"Is it fun... having this life?"

"Who?" He could not help but speak. This made the trainees stop from readying themselves and look at him in confusion.

"Senior?"

"Who is talking to me?" Bai Yue asked but to his surprise, his question made the members look at him in doubt.

"Senior, I didn’t see or hear anyone talking to you this time. Aren’t we readying for another round?"

Bai Yue frowns? No one? But he could obviously hear someone talking!

"Senior? Are you okay?" A trainee asked. Bai Yue could only nod at the end after seeing that one was lying. He composed himself and was about to start the music when he felt that coldness again behind him.

"Bai Ling..."

"!!!"

Hearing that name made Bai Yue completely petrified. He turned his head behind abruptly but what made his eyes widen was what he saw behind him.

A familiar face miraculously appeared in front of him. Even if that face was abnormally pale and bloody, that appearance was from someone he couldn’t forget from the rest of his life.

Slowly, that face smiles at him.

"Are you happy seeing me again, Bai Ling?"

"!!!"

"AHHH!!"
