Chapter 161: Bai Ling’s Fate

As for Bai Yue who was in the middle of this chaos, he looked at the expression on the crowd’s faces and felt the burden inside his heart was lifted up.

He can see how everyone finally realizes the real Bai Ling that deceived them for too long.

Bai Yue looked at Qin An and nodded at him lightly as a signal to take his soul away inside Bai Ling’s body.

Just when everyone thought that this would be the end, Bai Ling suddenly stopped laughing. He abruptly stopped all of the sudden that made everyone stilled again. The silence that follows had begun creeping them out as they stared nervously at the psychopath in front of them, wondering what he’s planning again.

They saw confusion appear on his face as he looked around then a flash of bewilderment as if he realized something. He turned his face left and right and stared at the crowd’s face. He also begins inspecting his own clothes and pat himself as if he was checking they don’t know.

Then, he stopped moving again as if he was too surprised at something he didn’t understand.

"???" What is he up to?

The crowd fell into confusion. They couldn’t understand this sudden strange action that he’s doing.

It was as if... he was shocked by something? But to what? It’s just that before they could realize it, a horror expression was painted on Bai Ling’s body and he suddenly let out a scream.

Everyone was startled again. What is going on now?

Bai Ling shook his head as his pale turned pale. "I-It’s not true! This is not real!" he started whispering and repeating those words again and again as if he was firmly denying something.

Xu Xinyi rubbed her temples in a headache and signalled the police. "Okay, that’s enough. Arrest him immediately."

The police nodded and were about to handcuff Bai Ling when the young man suddenly struggled and became hysterical.

"N-No! That was not me! It was not me!" He shouted.

Qian Jin frowns. "Bai Ling, what is this?"

"I’m not Bai Ling!" Bai Ling screamed and his eyes turned red in madness. "Why are you calling me Bai Ling?! He’s already dead! My brother died a long time ago! I’m Bai Yue!"

Hearing the abrupt changes in his confession make things complicated again. Bai Ling began denying all the statements he spoke earlier, claiming that he was not on the right mind because of too much pressure and anxiety from the performance and what’s happening to him.

The madness on his face fades and it gradually changes into the familiar pitiful young man that they had seen all the time before this.

"I’m so sorry! I really didn’t do anything, okay? It was just a mistake. The video was just edited and my face is real! This is what I am! I am Bai Yue!" he insisted but looking at everyone who didn’t believe him quickly like he used to, he panics.

Bai Ling searched on the crowd and his eyes lit up when he spotted someone.

He quickly ran towards the young man and held his hand.

"Brother, it’s me! I’m really your brother, A’Ming. What I said was not true!" Bai Ling holds Cao Ming’s hand and starts pleading for himself. "Don’t you know me the best, Brother? It’s me!"

But Cao Ming didn’t say anything so Bai Ling anxiously looked for another target and saw Chi Ling. He quickly strodes fast and looked at his lover with grievance.

"Brother Ling, you believe me, right?" Warm liquid starts to form on the corner of his eyes as he beg for the young man to hear him. "I-I didn’t do anything. Brother Ling, I know you know me the best. You are always there for me so I know you know who I really am!"

Chi Ling’s expression wavered at his words. The memories that they had flashed on his mind and so as what happened earlier. The Bai Yue that he knew and the Bai Ling that he saw earlier keeps on popping in his mind that he didn’t know what to believe between them.

He really likes him, if not how could he even defy his family and introduce the young man to some influential people using his family’s connection? He wanted the latter to fly and soar higher to whatever goal he wanted to achieve because he likes him too much.

Chi Ling stared at the grievance in his eyes and really wanted to nod and protect him but the lunatic face seemed to engrave in his mind that he couldn’t forget it.
