Chapter 146: Chapter 146: Explaination

If someone dared to make her miserable, Aurora swore to make them regret it.

The next day.

Aurora went to high school in high spirits. This time, instead of asking around, she found the teacher’s office and asked for the classroom.

The head teacher, Ms. Carter, led Aurora and said softly,

"I heard what happened yesterday. Don’t worry. The school is investigating the matter and will give you a proper explanation."

Aurora smiled and nodded.

Anyways, if she truly is a good hacker, then she would make sure to punish everyone behind the incident; otherwise, she already has a plan in her mind.

As soon as she entered the class, Ms. Carter went to the podium and asked Aurora to step up, then she introduced Aurora,

"She is a new student here. Her name is Aurora. Due to medical issues, she joined the class 2 months late. I hope all of you can help her."

Caroline, who was upset from the previous day’s argument, rolled her eyes and said sarcastically,

"Teacher, are you sure her medical condition won’t act up again? I heard she fainted due to fright. What if she can’t cope with the pressure and faints again?"

At her words, the other students laughed.

Aurora looked at Caroline, her smile calm but her eyes sharp.

"Thanks for your concern, Caroline," Aurora said sweetly. "But I’m feeling perfectly fine today. By the way, I heard you are going to fail all your exams?"

A few kids snickered, and Caroline’s face turned red with embarrassment. She gritted her teeth and shouted,

"Aurora!"

Aurora rubbed her earlobes and said,

"I am here. Don’t shout like a mother-in-law in during her menopause."

The other students laughed and whistled at Aurora’s comment, and some even shouted,

"Slay!"

"All right, that’s enough," Ms. Carter said firmly. "Aurora, you can take the empty seat by the window."

Suddenly, a hand shot up, followed by a slightly arrogant voice,

"The seat beside me is also empty."

Aurora looked in that direction and saw...Spencer.

His black hair was neatly styled, and in black t-shirt with a metal necklace around his neck. and his lazy posture, he looked like a king surveying his people.

His deep, mesmerizing blue eyes were fixed on her, and sensing her gaze, his perfectly shaped lips turned upwards.

"Oh my god! Is Spencer offering the seat beside him?"

"Tell me it’s a lie! Tell me it’s a lie!"

"No way! How can a newcomer get to sit beside Spencer? I can’t accept!"

"Me too!"

"Is he challenging her? Maybe he is testing her. If she dares to nod, he will mock her and turn her down?"

"Well, he hasn’t done such a thing before, but who knows...maybe Aurora had offended him, and now he is going to take revenge?"

"Is he upset with the fact that Aurora had framed Caroline before and is now taking revenge on her behalf?"

"My god! That is possible, after all, I have heard the rumor where it was said that Spencer had a secret crush on Caroline."

Caroline, hearing the comments, blushed and gave a glance to Spencer.

However, Spencer ignored her and remained focused on Aurora.

Aurora looked at Spencer, her expression completely calm.

If what others were saying was true, then she would stay away from him.

She tilted her head and said with a polite smile,

"Thanks for the offer, but I’m fine with the window seat."

The class went quiet. A few girls gasped, and some of the boys exchanged surprised looks.

"Did she just...reject him?" one of them whispered.

"No way! Who says no to Spencer?"

"She must be crazy."

Spencer’s smirk didn’t fade instead, he said,

"Miss Aurora truly cold."

Aurora just shrugged.

A few kids snickered at her response, but most of them were just staring at her like she’d grown a second head.

Ms. Carter cleared her throat, snapping everyone out of their daze.

"Alright, everyone, calm down. Let’s begin the lesson."

Aurora walked over to her seat by the window, completely ignoring the looks she was getting.

She could feel Caroline’s glare burning into her back, but she couldn’t care less.

As she settled into her seat, Mia, who was sitting in the row beside her, leaned over and whispered,

"Wow, you just turned down Spencer. Are you insane or just super brave?"

Aurora chuckled. "Maybe both."

Mia grinned. "I like you already."

They shared a smile, and Aurora finally felt like maybe the day wouldn’t be so bad.

But, of course, things couldn’t stay calm for long.

During the break, Caroline strutted over to Aurora’s desk with a fake sweet smile plastered on her face.

However, before she could say anything, Aurora stood up and pushed Caroline to the side.

As a result, Caroline was knocked to the ground. Before she could cry though, Aurora said in a panicked voice,

"Caroline, are you okay? I am sorry! I didn’t mean to push you. I have stayed in the hospital for the past 3 years and don’t have much strength, so I didn’t know how you got knocked out."

At her words, the students who were about to leave couldn’t help but say,

"Is Caroline trying to frame Aurora?"

"Maybe."

"But such a low-level scheme...truly, Caroline needs to stop watching those recently popular short dramas."

"Exactly!"

"You—! You pushed me on purpose!" Caroline snapped, her voice trembling.

Aurora blinked her eyes innocently.

"On purpose? Caroline, I barely touched you. If you’re that weak, maybe you should see a doctor. I can recommend some good ones."

Caroline gritted her teeth. She opened her mouth to argue, but Aurora cut her in and said,

"Even though you tried to frame me, I would be nice to you."

With that, she bent down, placed her phone on the ground, and held Caroline’s hand to help her up.

Caroline was wary and suspicious.

But surprisingly, Aurora truly only helped her this time and even passed her the phone she had dropped due to the push.
