Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 168: Complaint
Chapter 168: Chapter 168: Complaint
Henry’s voice dropped when he saw her. "Miss Dawn... Please. Just let us go. We’ll disappear, okay? You won’t see us again."
Aurora smiled. Not kindly. It was the kind of smile that made your stomach drop.
"You know," she said softly, "if I go through the law, you might get away. You might use Adeline’s father. Maybe even blame someone else."
She paused.
"But if I take care of you myself... well. Then I don’t have to worry about rules."
She gave a signal with her fingers.
Two more bodyguards stepped forward, cracking their knuckles.
Henry’s eyes went wide. "Wait—NO—!"
Before he could say another word—
WHAM!
A punch landed on his stomach.
THWACK!
Another hit his face, making him stumble backward.
Lucy screamed, but the second bodyguard didn’t hesitate. She got the same treatment.
Punches. Kicks. Slaps.
They both collapsed to the ground, groaning and crying.
Aurora stood there, watching coldly, her arms crossed.
When both Henry and Lucy were knocked out cold, barely breathing, she gave her final order.
"Dump them in a sketchy bar. Make sure there’s no camera around. No one should see anything."
The bodyguards nodded. "Got it."
"Oh," she added. "Make it believable. I want some extra people there. Loud music. A little fake fight. Enough so that when they wake up, no one believes their story."
She pulled out her phone and made a quick call.
"Get a few actors," she said. "Make them play drunk guys. Start a fake brawl. Keep it messy."
Then she hung up.
The guards picked up the unconscious Henry and Lucy and vanished into the shadows.
The next morning, Henry groaned as his eyes blinked open. His head pounded, and every part of his body ached like he’d been run over by a truck. He looked around, confused. Sticky floors. Loud music. A strong smell of beer. They were in a bar.
Lucy was lying next to him, her face pale, a bruise on her cheek. She looked just as miserable as he felt.
Henry winced as he tried to sit up. "Ugh... what happened last night?"
"I don’t know," Lucy muttered, rubbing her head. "Everything hurts."
Henry’s face twisted in anger as memories rushed back. Miss Dawn. Her cold eyes. The punches. The kicks. That evil smile.
"I’m going to the police," he growled. "She’s not getting away with this."
He stood up shakily, but just as he turned to leave—
BAM!
A man bumped into his shoulder hard, almost knocking him over.
"Watch it!" Henry snapped. "You blind or what?!"
The man turned around, glaring. He was tall. Muscular. Tattooed arms. Not someone you’d want to mess with.
"What did you just say to me?" the man barked.
Henry stepped back slightly, realizing the guy was huge. But before he could explain—
"You got a big mouth for someone with a sissy little body," the man said, puffing out his chest. "You one of those fake tough guys, huh? All bark, no bite?"
Henry’s face turned red. He was tired. He was sore. And now this guy was calling him weak?
"I’m not a chicken!" Henry yelled, and without thinking, he threw a punch.
The man stumbled, but then grinned. "Oh, so we’re doing this now?"
SMACK!
A light punch landed on Henry’s side.
POW! Another hit his arm.
It wasn’t too hard, but after the beating from yesterday, Henry felt like he was about to faint. Pain shot through his body with every small hit.
Lucy, still dizzy, was dragged away by two other drunk guys pretending to beat her. She screamed in confusion.
"Henry!!"
Henry panicked. He tried to fight back, kicking and punching wildly. The crowd cheered, thinking it was just another bar fight.
Somehow, Henry got lucky. His punches landed just right. He knocked the man to the floor. Bloody nose. Bruised eye.
The other guys backed off quickly, and Henry grabbed Lucy’s hand. "Let’s get out of here!"
They limped out of the bar, their clothes messy, their faces bruised. Henry was fuming.
He stormed into the police station and slammed his hand on the counter. "I want to report a crime!"
The officer looked up lazily. "Yeah? What happened?"
"I was attacked by Miss Dawn’s people yesterday. She gave the order herself."
The officer’s eyes widened. "Miss Dawn? You mean Miss Dawn? The rich investor lady with the private jets and everything?"
Henry nodded quickly. "Yes! Her! She ordered her guards to beat me and my sister. It’s all true!"
The cop sat up straighter. He looked interested now.
"Hmm... If you’re telling the truth, this could be big. Really big. Maybe even get me a promotion..."
Henry and Lucy were led into a private room.
The officer asked him to explain everything. Henry told the story—but left out the part where he slapped Adeline. Instead, he said:
"I was visiting my ex, Adeline, about some court stuff. We were talking peacefully when Miss Dawn barged in.
Her brother is dating Adeline, and when Adeline said I still liked her, Miss Dawn went crazy. She told her men to attack me."
The officer took notes, nodding. "Alright. I’ll look into it."
But by the afternoon, his smile was gone.
He walked into the room, his face annoyed, holding a folder.
"Here’s the investigation report," he said coldly, slamming it on the table.
Henry leaned forward, confused. "What...?"
"It says here you were involved in a drunk bar fight this morning," the officer said. "Witnesses, security outside, even your face on camera."
"This is me, but they were the ones who had instigated me first," Henry yelled. "I don’t even remember going to the bar! It’s a setup! It’s Miss Dawn! She planned it!"
The officer rolled his eyes. "Maybe she planned it in your dreams."
He stood up and pointed to the door. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
"Get out. Don’t waste police time with your crazy stories."
Henry and Lucy were shoved outside.
Lucy clutched her arm and looked up at him. "What do we do now?"
