Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 179: Slap
Chapter 179: Chapter 179: Slap
His eyes widened a little. He sat up slowly, ignoring the pain in his side.
"...Where is she?" he asked, his voice a little hoarse but sharp.
His assistant, who had just walked back into the room with a folder in her hands, froze when she heard his voice. She quickly turned toward him, her face looking a little nervous.
"She... she’s gone," she said quietly.
The young man stared at her, his face unreadable. "What do you mean... gone?"
The assistant rubbed the back of her neck, clearly embarrassed.
"I-I’m sorry," she said quickly.
"I left the room to find out more about her, just like you told me to. I talked to the hospital staff, checked the front desk records, even went through some donation forms, but when I came back just now... she was already gone."
The young man didn’t say anything.
He just looked at the empty bed again.
It felt like something cold had dropped into his chest.
"Didn’t you leave anyone here to watch her?" he asked in a quiet voice, but there was a dangerous edge to it.
The assistant’s face turned pale.
"I-I didn’t think she’d leave so soon," she said quickly. "She looked so weak after donating all that blood. I thought she’d rest longer..."
The young man closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
He wasn’t mad at the assistant—not really.
He was just... disappointed.
He had wanted to see her. To hear her voice. To tell her thank you. To maybe—just maybe—ask her name and get to know her.
But now...
"She’s gone," he muttered, almost to himself.
Then he looked up sharply.
"Find her," he said.
The assistant blinked. "Huh?"
"I don’t care what it takes. Find out who she is. Find out everything. Her name. Her address. Her school or job. Everything."
The assistant nodded quickly, clutching the folder like her life depended on it.
"I-I will! I already got a few clues. She filled out a basic form before the donation. No full name, but I’ll trace it—I promise!"
The young man leaned back against the pillows, but he didn’t look relaxed.
His eyes were still locked on that empty bed, like he could still see her lying there.
He didn’t know why he felt this way.
But he knew one thing:
He had to find her again.
No matter what.
.....
Adam Price was living the best day of his life. Quite literally.
He was going to get married to the daughter of the richest man, a beautiful one at that.
What made everything more enjoyable was, he understood how, after marriage, he would have money, fame, and even women...a lot of them.
Anyway, Luna was blind and couldn’t see anything. Even if he cheats on her, she wouldn’t know.
The day after tomorrow will be his big day!
Once he marries her and gains power, he will deal with Adam Waters! Once and for all!
.....
Adriana returned home late. She looked devastated.
The feeling of having everything under control, only to know it was all her illusion, was too much to handle for her.
At least she knew the truth.
But it once again made her realize how unlovable she was.
Aurora watched Adriana walk toward her room with a gloomy aura and heaved a sigh of relief.
Adriana will finally understand everything and break up with Henry, successfully avoiding her fate!
Ah!
Aurora felt a burden lifted from her shoulders.
Olivia, who was sitting in the dining room, couldn’t help but roll her eyes,
"She only knows how to be sad."
"She is going through a breakup." Aurora interrupted.
Olivia paused, and the irritation in her eyes vanished, replaced by concern. Yet she asked nonchalantly,
"Breakup? When was she in a relationship?"
"Well, apparently she was, and only we didn’t know." Aurora shrugged.
Olivia sat quietly for a while, staring at Adriana’s closed door. Then, without saying anything, she stood up and walked toward it.
Aurora blinked in surprise, but quickly got up and followed behind her. She didn’t want to miss anything — and honestly, she wanted to help too.
Olivia knocked on the door, three quick taps.
Inside, there was a pause. Then Adriana’s tired voice came through, muffled but clear,
"Who is it?"
"It’s me," Olivia said, her voice sounding less sharp than usual.
There was another long pause. Then Adriana said coldly,
"I’m not in the mood to hear any of your b*tchy comments right now, Olivia. Go away."
Aurora winced a little, thinking Olivia would get mad.
But instead, Olivia leaned against the door and said in a teasing voice,
"What? You’re scared of a few words? I thought you were supposed to be the strong, smart sister."
Aurora’s mouth opened in shock. "Olivia!" she whispered, tugging at her sleeve.
But it was too late.
Inside the room, there was a loud thump as Adriana stomped toward the door. A second later, the door flew open, and Adriana stood there, looking furious.
Before Olivia could say anything, Adriana slapped her hard across the face.
Smack!
"Stop provoking me!" Adriana shouted, her voice cracking with pain. Tears streamed down her face, making her look even more heartbroken.
"I’m already falling apart, Olivia! Why can’t you just leave me alone?!"
The room went silent.
Aurora froze, expecting Olivia to slap back or yell something mean.
But Olivia didn’t.
She just stood there for a second, holding her cheek where Adriana had hit her.
Then, slowly, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around Adriana in a soft hug.
Adriana stiffened at first, but Olivia didn’t let go.
Instead, Olivia whispered, her voice shaking a little,
"I’m sorry... You can cry if you want. I’m here, dummy."
Adriana finally broke down, burying her face in Olivia’s shoulder, her sobs muffled by her sister’s shirt.
Aurora wiped her own eyes quickly and walked over, hugging both of them from the side.
And she learned something new that day...Olivia may seem b*tchy person but in reality...she had a soft heart.
