Carnivals: Claimed By The Deranged Alpha Prince [BL]-Chapter 273: Hours To Go
Chapter 273: Hours To Go
Chapter 273
Blaze’s pov
Tonight, we were all seated around the table in the sitting room, trying to come up with a plan of how tomorrow’s night is gonna go down.
I couldn’t deny that I was nervous about what tomorrow night might bring forth. I knew the unexpected was definitely gonna happen and I wasn’t looking forward to that one bit. I hated that we were in this situation but there was nothing I could do about it at this point.
Xander was present right now as well, and I wasn’t even sure of how he accompanied us back here from his father’s basement, but he did. His father got killed by my mate today, and if he loved his father, he was supposed to be mad or something, but instead, he was beyond blown away by my mate’s power and he even came forward to ask my mate if this was the secret he and Kai didn’t reveal to him in the restroom that day. My mate had quietly asked him to keep a far distance away from him and that even though he was on our side now, it doesn’t mean all his past actions have been forgiven.
My eyes strayed towards labyrinth and as expected, he was lost in a train of thoughts. His hand was clutching my bicep and he was resting his head on my shoulder, while our legs were pressed against each other’s.
For the past two days, he had been extra clingy. The night after we confessed our love to each other, his touchiness increased even more. It was like he never wanted to stop feeling my body against his, till this very moment. I didn’t mind all of this one bit, In fact, this is something I very much love.
However, because I knew my mate wasn’t normally as touchy as I am, it didn’t take me long to realize that he was being extra clingy because he was already planning something stupid.
Fron the looks of things, he was planning to give his life up for me or something close to that. I just know it, it was obvious in the way he stared at me with a mixture of longing and sadness whenever I wasn’t looking.
Little did he know that I was never gonna let that happen. I was already two steps ahead of him, and I’m also determined to never let him out of my sight. No way is he giving up his life for me. If anyone is gonna do that, it’s gonna be me and it’s not a topic up for debate, which is why I chose not to call him out; because I knew he’d never agree to me giving my life up for him.
It’s almost hilarious how we’re both ready to give up our lives for each other, but I guess that was the reason why there was a clause at the end of the prophecy which intertwined us together. It said one of us would have to die at the end, and I sure as hell hoped that it would be me.
It was a little sad that we wouldn’t get a happily ever after from the looks of things, but I’m happy for the time we’ve spent so far. That meant more than enough to me.
"I’m not sure of what we can do next in this situation." Xander spoke up this time; a grim expression on. Roy instantly scowled at him and Xander scowled back. They were in some sort of beef over Kim, and because of the entire mess already on ground, I couldn’t even bring myself to focus on them.
"We should probably just go with the flow. Jules is now extremely strong. Maybe he can just easily strike down his father and your father tomorrow night." Roy suggested this time and I snorted.
"That can’t work because they’re both under some sort of protective spell that shields them from any kind of magic." I explained and Roy sighed, scrubbing his face.
"How about Jules just break the protective shields first?" Xander asked this time and I shook my head, still feeling surprised that I could tolerate having a conversation with him. I guess it’s because I’ve actually never had a reason to hate me, and today’s exchange with his father just proved that he never hated me either.
"It’s not gonna be easy, it might even be impossible. Jules’ father is very powerful so I don’t expect any of this to be a walk in the pack."
"This means we’re fucking cooked." Roy breathed out and I sighed as my hand settled over my mate’s shoulders to pull him into my chest.
"More or less."

The next morning, everyone was on a low mood, and I had to force my mate to swallow down some food. He had lost some weight because he wasn’t eating for the past few days, clearly because of the guilt he was being consumed by.
"What if Elio is already dead?" He whispered after swallowing some eggs which I fed him. His blue eyes were swimming with unshed tears and I sighed as I pulled him into my arms, whispering about how sorry I am while stroking his hair. He clutched me tightly but didn’t end up crying. Instead, he just clung to me and breathed in and out till his body stopped shaking.
I got him to eat some more, showered together with him, and then I tucked him into bed and urged him to get some sleep.
Before leaving the house, I urged Roy to keep an eye on my mate and to not let him leave the house no matter what. However, as I began to teleport to my destination, I found myself wondering if Roy would even be able to stop labyrinth if he actually wanted to leave the house.
I emerged in the demon clan moments later and this time; the guards easily recognized me and they even bowed a little, probably because they now know that I was related to Raina.
I spent about thirty minutes with Raina and I found myself pouring everything out to her. She admitted that she had managed to fish out the mole who my father kept in this clan and that he has been killed. That made me a little relieved.
"I can feel your magic. It’s very unstable now. You’re not even supposed to teleport or use your superhuman speed. You’re to completely refrain from using your power because if you keep using it, your powers would keep getting riled up, and it’s at a spot where it can spiral out of your control at any given moment." She grimaced, actually appearing worried.
"You know what happens after that happens, right?"
I nodded slowly. My mate explained it all to me. If that happens, I’ll emerge into my full demon form, which would automatically kill off the human and wolf part of my being. I was fully aware of all that.
After a little while, Raina left for a few moments and reemerged with a small vial of purple liquid which she handed to me.
"Here. You should only use this when you really need it. It’s for critical situations needing to break out of a magic infused binding or something relating to that." She explained and I felt my heart squeeze in my chest at once. I couldn’t believe she went from hating me so much to actually caring about me to the point of doing this.
When I told her this, she rolled her eyes and actually ruffled my hair.
"You’re my baby brother after all." She told me and I instantly scowled while warmth filled my veins. She tugged me into a hug after that and I couldn’t believe it when tears pricked my eyes.
~~~
It was currently around eight pm, some hours to midnight when the full moon is gonna emerge, and everywhere was tense with nervousness.
Since labyrinth was awake and I wanted to take his mind off what’s waiting for us at midnight, I asked him to come for a walk with me.
I ended up teleporting us to the middle of a garden I pictured, and he began to admonish me against using my powers for now, but after I told him why we were here, he went still and silent from shock.
I brought him here because I wanted him to meet my wolf.
I didn’t know how tonight was gonna end for us. The only thing I’m certain off is that I’d readily give up my life for him, which is why I believe it’s best to show him my wolf tonight, because I might not be alive come morning... but of course, he didn’t know this.
He watched with bated breath as I undressed, and I urged him to close his eyes before shifting, willing the wolf in me to take over.
When my wolf nudged his chest with its snort, our mate’s eyes opened and a smile broke out across his face as he threw his arms around my wolf’s neck, burying his face in its pitch black fur. I didn’t realize labyrinth was crying until I felt his tears seep into my wolf’s fur and my wolf instantly tried making him feel better, trying to lap his tears up which made him giggle.
"You’re so big." He finally whispered to my wolf, eyes blown wide and my wolf swelled with pride.
The next few hours were spent with my wolf giving our mate a ride on its back, and then my wolf groomed our mate as best as it could till our mate fell asleep while clutching my wolf tightly.
