Carnivals: Claimed By The Deranged Alpha Prince [BL]-Chapter 280: Aftermath
Chapter 280: Aftermath
Jules’ pov
If anyone had told me that this was how this whole thing would end, I’d have called them a silly liar. But here I am now, in tears, with my mate gone to where I have no idea of, and from the last minutes we spent together, it didn’t seem like he recognized what I looked like.
I let out a ragged breath and tried to control my racing heart, forcing myself to stop crying as well. As I let my eyes wander around the amount of chaos scattered around me, I reminded myself that it was pointless to cry right now because it wasn’t gonna change a thing.
I was supposed to be bursting with happiness right now. Despite everything that happened throughout, my mate and I still ended up surviving. But what is the point of surviving when my mate is not with me right now?
Blaze had turned into a demon and he had flown away after butchering his father and thoroughly dealing with mine as well. My eyes zeroed in on his father’s dead body, it was a really gory mess with all his insides scattered around. I glanced away and swallowed slowly, and then I got to my feet.
The first that had previously been burning had fully died down at this point. I let out a long breath and raked my fingers through my hair, and then I began to walk back in the direction blaze and I had ran from.
A small movement caught my eyes and on turning sideways; shock engulfed me in realizing that my father was still alive.
He was gasping for breath and holding a hand up to me. His eyes were swollen and only one was a little open. His nose was in pieces and his jaw was dislocated. His shoulders were dislocated as well, a large rock was tripping the lower part of his body to the ground, and a large pool of blood was underneath his body.
I swallowed emptily as I made my way towards him to crouch by his side. He was struggling to speak but I could detect that he was pleading for me to help him out. The laugh that escaped my lungs was long and hard, and then I shook my head as I glanced down at him. I felt a little surprised, despite everything blaze did to him, he was still breathing. He’s clearly a fighter.
Not that it matters to me.
"You killed mother, you killed my siblings... you killed Anya and you wanted to kill me as well, just for your selfish deeds. And now you want me to help you?" I echoed out and he struggled to speak which made me laugh once again.
I looked around me and sighted a jagged looking stone and picked it up, and then I raised it above his head.
"This is for killing mother." I whispered as I smashed the stone over his forehead. He choked on blood and tried shaking his head while blood gushed from the wound. I could feel nothing but bitterness and satisfaction as I stayed down at him right now.
"You killed my siblings, you killed the people who’re supposed to protect me from you. Then you ruined my whole life on top of that." I continued fiercely before smashing the stone down across his face. The jagged edge caught his eyes and blood polled out from one of the sockets as he screamed.
"You tried separating Blaze and I!" I cried out as I brought the stone down once again, and this time, tears filled up my eyes, blurring my eyesight. He twitched underneath me as his face became unrecognizable.
"And you killed Elio. Despite everything, you still killed him!" My voice broke this time as I brought the stone down, hitting him non-stop till he was no longer breathing. I was panting once I was done and my entire face was sprayed with his blood.
After that, I threw my head back and cried beside his dead body for minutes, which felt like hours.
When I finally pulled myself up from that position, I was numb all over. The sky was no longer bright, it was suddenly cloudy. I wrapped my arms around myself and began to walk back to the direction Blaze and I had escaped from. It was cold, it was like a storm was coming but I didn’t care, nor could I feel anything either.
I kept walking, past the heap of dead bodies and damaged objects.
I was still walking when something caught my eyes through the windy atmosphere. It was floating in the air and glistening brightly. It was heading straight to me and before it hit my face, I reached up and grabbed it.
It was star shaped and a mixture of seven different colors. I peered down at it, wondering what it was– when it suddenly glowed brightly, almost blinding my eyes.
I blinked slowly, staring at it some more. A part of me felt pulled towards it, like this was a part of me that was taken from me. I couldn’t comprehend the feeling rushing through my veins.
A small thought urged me to press the star shaped object against my chest. I didn’t understand what that meant, but I also felt too weak to start arguing with myself right now. I let my eyes fall close on a sigh before pressing said object against my chest.
It was like a bolt of lightning flashed through my closed eyes along with the eyes of my heart at the same time. It was pitch black inside of me and the next moment, everything was extremely bright from the onslaught of light.
It took a few moments for me to realize what was happening, and when I did, a gasp tore past my throat.
My magic was returning back to me!
My eyes flew open and my gasp increased on realizing that everywhere was extremely bright around me, the windy atmosphere had calmed down, and the outfit I was in had somehow changed. I now had white, flowing outfit that sparkled in the bright light.
I felt extremely full on the inside and I realized that all my magic which previously got sucked away had returned back to me with my father dead.
