Carnivals: Claimed By The Deranged Alpha Prince [BL]-Chapter 300: Build Up
Chapter 300: Build Up
Blaze’s pov
I let out a grimace, not looking forward to what’s coming in any way. We were currently standing outside the demon clan and I already felt like something might end up going wrong today. My mate was currently present, Roy and Kim were here as well, and my sister had just came out to usher us in.
I let out a grimace again before sighing. "You’re all to stay out of harm’s way no matter what, we’re here today to take down a tyrant, i don’t expect to lose any of you today."
"Including me? Or you don’t care if I die?" A voice spoke and I tore my face off my mate’s face to focus on the voice and I realized it was Kim. I let out a snort while staring at him.
Kim and I never had a smooth relationship and that was because after he dared messing with me, I made sure he thoroughly suffered for that and also to never forget that. Him turning out to be my mate’s half brother was the last twist I expected to come out of him.
"Of course I don’t want you to die either." I finally responded and I meant those words. My mate thoroughly explained to me that Kim was one of the people that helped him when he was at his lowest and needed all the emotional support he could get.
Kim flashed me a grin that proved that he didn’t believe me, but I wasn’t sure I cared enough to pursue that right now. My eyes refocused on my mate once again and I felt my breath stumble a little in my chest at how unreal my mate looked. I wasn’t sure id ever fully get used to how ethereal he looked, with his white hair framing his face and his blue eyes threatening to undo me right now.
"Let’s get on with it now. Remember, we’re doing this in the morning and not at night time because that’s around when demons get really powerful. The king might try to stall you till then but let’s hope we get to bring him down before then." My sister began to explain and I nodded grimly in understanding. Today, I didn’t plan on switching to my full demon form, and I hoped I wouldn’t have to.
"Before we go in, let me clarify again, I’ll be doing this on my own. I don’t want help from either of you in the middle of the fight, you’re to stay out of it no matter what." I said, making sure my voice was very firm and serious and I looked between my mate and sister as I spoke.
My sister gave me tense nod but my mate only shrugged, a clear indication that he wasn’t listening.
"Labyrinth, I’m serious. If you do that, you’ll automatically get entered into the fight and you won’t be able to back out unless you drop dead. And situations like this never ends well because i can already picture my stupid uncle leaving me and fully focusing his attack on you, then instead of me to be fighting him, i’ll have to spend the time in there covering and trying to defend you from his attacks." I took his hand as I spoke.
My mate let out a long breath, looking the complete opposite of happy and i sighed.
"You have to promise me. Promise me you’ll listen to me. You’ll stay out of the fight no matter what." I insisted and he frowned.
"What if you get hurt? Or killed? I shouldn’t get involved? Hell no."
I chuckled a little before tugging him into a hug.
"I won’t die, I promise. I’m very strong and definitely don’t die easily." I murmured into his hair right before he returned my hug, fiercely clinging to me.

"Ah, my infamous little nephew is right in front of me. What to do?" The man seated right on the throat at the far end of the large room announced, his loud voice booming loudly. The essence clinging to this large room was telling enough that this uncle of mine is insanely powerful. He filled out the throne, and the muscles in his arms and shoulders were very large, so large that it made his head look ridiculous because it was a few sizes too small for his body.
Raina brought us to the door before leaving, I asked her not to accompany us in here because I didn’t want anything funny to take place outside while we’re all trapped in here with our uncle. Of course, I even tried getting my mate and kim to stay out there with her but labyrinth vehemently refused.
"And you even brought friends! Should I be honored, or..." he drawled, appearing very uninterested and I felt extremely irked but of course, I didn’t let him get to me too much. People like this were already a pro at playing mind games, it would be stupid of me to let myself fall for something as measly as mind games.
"I think you should be scared, dear uncle." I responded and my uncle threw his head back and dissolved in laughter. After a few seconds, he glanced at the two guards standing at his sides and they instantly laughed robotically. That made me let out a scoff.
"Are you finished? Because I’m here to take back what’s mine." I announced with a lazy shrug, eyes locked with my uncle’s. If he was currently angry, he didn’t show it. Instead, he sipped on his wine while regarding me like I was dirt on the ground.
"I knew I should have tried harder to kill you when I had the chance, after you lost control of your true form like a fucking child, which is clearly what you are. My sincerest regret." He clicked his tongue after speaking and I rolled my eyes, already getting fed up.
"Why don’t you get the fuck up and come face me then? Hm? At least now you’d get a fair chance at trying even harder to end my life this time."
