Chapter 31: Getting Help

Jules’ pov

"You’re falling behind on almost every subject, Mr. McCarthy." The school counselor said after taking a long glance at my file. I had been summoned to his office and that was the first thing he said after welcoming me in. fгeewebnovёl.com

Even long after I exited his office, the entire thing he said was all I could think of. It made me extremely worried. I needed to keep my grades up, especially if I want to still remain in this school. Keeping my grades up means securing a spot in this school and not attracting unwanted scrutiny from the school itself upon myself, and that’s exactly what I needed to focus on for now.

Most of the subjects they teach in this school are subjects I’ve never encountered before, but clearly I needed to start studying those subjects if I still want to remain hidden in this school.

The counselor had recommended I find a tutor, and that’s what I’ve been pondering on since I exited his office.

I kept my head lowered as I walked through the hallway, not wanting to attract unnecessary attention from predators towards myself. I ended up bumping against Elio, the silver haired omega who I met at the fraternity party last week. He offered me a warm smile, one which I couldn’t help but return.

"Hey there, what’s up with you?" He murmured and I lazily shrugged one of my shoulders.

"I’ve been pretty chill, what about you?" I responded and he snorted.

"Been grinding as usual. You know, people have been unable to stop talking about your initiation party." He pointed out, and he was completely right.

After Kim informed me that I was free to go that night, Taylor and Josh found me shortly after that and we exited the venue at once. I had been shaking so much that Taylor had to clutch my hand in his at a point.

Apparently, a rumor got spread around school the following week, that I had used my ’daddy’s influence’ to get out of doing the initiation ritual like every other omega. They called me spoil sport, a chicken, a wuss, and so many other names.

It’s been a week since the initiation party and I’m yet to hear the end of it because people just never stop talking about it, even though nothing had literally happened that night. I hadn’t the slightest idea as to why Kim had suddenly declared that I didn’t need to perform the ritual any longer that night.

I huffed out a small breath. "Yeah, I know. It was a disaster, no one’s gonna let me live that down at this point."

Elio blinked at me once before shaking his head. "It’s actually not that bad, I believe people would soon get tired of talking about it, just give them time and the buzz is gonna wear off, hm?"

I appreciated his attempt to console me.

"Thank you so much, Elio."

"Was that the only thing on your mind? You didn’t seem all that good when we bumped into each other." He pointed out and I tensed up at first, unsure of how to go about this.

After a few seconds, I ended up breathing out a sigh before tabling my worries concerning my grades to him, my heart feeling significantly lightened once I was done.

"Oh, is that it? Well, I could tutor you!" He exclaimed and my eyes widened while my mouth fell open in disbelief.

"A- are you serious?!" I demanded, unable to believe my luck right now.

He hummed as he nodded his head.

"I’m very positive. Y’know I’m taking five extra subjects on the side along with our normal syllabus at once. My brain is pretty loaded so I’m certain tutoring you won’t be a hassle." He explained and a relieved feeling engulfed me at once as I reached out and cupped his hand between mine.

"Oh, thank you so much, so, so much! This is the best news I’ve heard all week."

Elio grinned once again before continuing. "Although... it comes with a little price." He breathed out and I nodded in understanding, ready to do whatever it takes for him to tutor me like he said he was going to.

"I need a little help as well."

I blinked once. "With what? Whatever it is, I’d be happy to help, we can just help each other out." As I spoke, Elio flashed me a grin.

"That’s exactly what I had in mind." He echoed out, then he suggested we meet up at his dorm after school.

When I arrived there, his roommate was out and he offered me a drink almost as soon as I sat down in his bed, in the privacy of his bedroom.

"So... about what we discussed back at school." He began as he crawled into the bed and sat across from me.

His silver colored hair framed his face and made his eyes appear brighter than it’s supposed to.

"What’s that which you need help with?" I inquired, back pressing into one of his pillows.

"Well... you see, what I need help with is a little complicated." He started and I found myself unconsciously leaning forward in curiosity while nodding my head, indicating for him to proceed.

"I’m a camboy." He spoke up after a few minutes of silence, eyes gauging my reaction, but I only blinked at him a couple of times.

"Um..." I started before letting out an awkward laugh.

Elio stared at me for a moment longer shrugging his shoulders.

I dragged my palm over my pants before clearing my throat. "So... uh, what does that mean?"

The surprise on Elio’s face was stark before he proceeded to explain what it meant, and by the time he was done, I was flushed down to the roots of my hair.

"Oh." I ended up breathing out, cheeks feeling like it was on fire.

Elio gave a slow nod of his head. "That’s what I needed help with. My camboy business." He revealed and once again, my cheeks tinged with color as I cleared my throat.

"Uh... what kind of trouble could possibly happen with that?"

"I’m having a decline in my videos performance, my subscription keeps dropping everyday, and I need to save it from completely dropping as fast as possible." He revealed and I genuinely felt bad for him because now a sad look had settled over his face.

"That sounds bad and I’m really sorry about that. But uh... what could I possibly do to help your video performances right now?"

As soon as the question was out, a grin tugged at the side of his lips as he sat up straighter.

"Oh, Jules... you haven’t the slightest idea of what you could do."
