Damned Healer-Chapter 121: Sealed The Fate
Chapter 121: Sealed The Fate
The conversation lasted just a few minutes, and everyone could hear it—even though Rhea couldn’t see anyone but Darian.
Before they could even process what was happening, everything started to change.
The light that covered the entire area began to twist and shift.
It all converged toward Rhea.
Then, a glowing, completely white humanoid figure began to take on a physical form.
The light kept reshaping itself...
It became more and more solid.
It only took a few seconds before all the light in the place vanished.
"!"
Rhea finally saw everyone there, staring at her.
Now, she had a "body" similar to that of a Spiritual Guardian in training from the other universe. This body was made of pure white power and had drained a huge amount of Darian’s energy.
Everyone was staring at her, and she looked down at herself. Her current form was very close to what she looked like when she was alive.
One difference was the bright white aura surrounding her. Another was the way her beauty now felt almost overwhelming—even though physically she didn’t look that different.
The reason was that everyone could now feel the purity of her karma—it was her entire existence now.
And there was another major difference: she now had a real pair of golden wings on her back. No longer an illusion from some old blessing.
No one could’ve guessed it, but because of Darian’s influence, she had taken the shape he had imagined the very first time he saw her—like a radiant golden angel descending from the heavens.
"M-Mom..." — Leander muttered, his face crumbling.
Everyone stood there in complete shock over what they were witnessing. Sure, blessings were known to warp reality itself, but some rules were absolute: the dead couldn’t come back.
So what the hell were they looking at?
Rhea clearly had a body close to what they used in the training universe. But the feeling she gave off was completely unique.
It was like everyone was being drawn toward her—this calm, peaceful feeling settled over all of them. No one had ever heard of a blessing or anything else that could do something like that.
They all thought back on everything they’d seen Darian do. And the more they remembered, the more their shock grew. What was his limit? What was his goal?
And then her pained voice echoed through the air:
"Son... forgive me..."
Leander trembled. She moved gently, her wings flapping softly, then pulled him into a hug. And yeah, even though her form wasn’t totally physical, she could still touch him.
Leander felt no warmth from her, no heartbeat—just an empty shell. But her emotions came through clearly, thanks to the bond that had just formed between them.
"It’s okay... I really died, but I’m still here." — she whispered, gently holding him.
It took a few minutes for Leander to come back to himself. As soon as he did, he turned to Darian, who had stayed quiet in a corner the whole time.
Darian nodded. "Yeah. Let’s talk properly."
Everyone took a deep breath.
After saying that, he sat down, everyone still staring at him. Rhea sighed and sat too, clearly wanting to listen closely.
"Sorry, I can’t tell you everything in detail," — Darian said first, seriously. "My master forbade it. She’s the one who gave me my power and everything I have. Yeah, I lied when I said I tried to merge three blessings and ended up with something weird. What I use is a ’blessing’... actually, it’s more like a very unique curse. What you just saw is one of its abilities."
Everyone looked confused. Master? Who the hell could’ve created such a bizarre power that went against all the rules?
Darian nodded again, and a small black rune appeared in front of him.
"This thing here is someone else... and I need to find a Summoner for it. Once, it was the Primitive Beast we defeated. Now it’s more like... like I’m reviving them, but in a totally different way."
Reviving...? Did he have a power only the heavenly laws were supposed to have? Everyone had the same thought at once.
"In this guy’s case, he doesn’t remember anything. I captured him to make him pay for his crimes," — Darian went on, speaking casually.
"Anyway, yeah, I do have healing powers. But I’ve got other abilities too. And just to be clear, there’s a limit to how many people I can bring back. I have to choose carefully."
"If you can keep them alive... can they get stronger and evolve too?" — Harper asked, tense. This was way beyond any regular blessing.
"Yes. Technically, they can grow as strong as a High Human. They need to have a Summoner by their side. And unlike the Mannaz from the other universe, both of them grow in power together — fighting as a real duo," Darian explained calmly.
Veyle asked the question everyone was thinking: "Is there... any requirement to become their Summoner?"
"No. But since there’s a limit, I need to pick wisely."
After answering, he pulled out another thorn — the one holding Damon’s soul. Leander and Rhea immediately lit up, but...
"Unfortunately, my current limit is two souls. I don’t want to give anyone false hope — I still have a lot to figure out on my own about this power. It might take a long time before I can bring him back... or I might never be able to."
Darian didn’t sugarcoat it. Damon’s karma was ordinary, nothing special. Meru had already told him: Darian should only choose people with extreme karma — either really dark or really pure. And after all the changes in his technique, there was no telling if reviving Damon was even possible.
What rune would he even create for him? The black rune? But Damon didn’t have deep enough black karma — or the opposite either.
Everyone else heard that with a heavy heart.
Then Rhea, her eyes trembling, said, "This is all my fault..."
"No, Mom." — Leander cut in. "I’m sure big brother acted the way he did because he wanted revenge for our dad. And he’d have done it again, same outcome, no hesitation."
She let out a long, heavy breath. "We failed completely, in the end... destiny’s unbelievable..."
Rhea looked at Darian, then turned to everyone, and finally began to explain exactly what had happened.
First, her eyes drifted toward a distant spot, remembering a nostalgic, happy past she kept deep inside her soul.
It was many years ago. Rhea had met her husband in the Divine Protection Universe, during an extremely intense battle against the Risen.
He, unlike the others, couldn’t bear watching Spiritual Guardians and Summoners die. Even without knowing she was from Earth — human, just like him — when he saw her about to fall in battle, he ran in to help her.
Doing that for no reason was foolish. Numbers didn’t beat raw Risen power. When a strong one showed up, everyone who could run, did. But Rhea and her Summoner didn’t have that option.
He did what no one else would’ve done. They nearly died together — but got away by sheer luck.
That was just their first meeting. After that, they didn’t speak again. Years later, back on Earth, at an important meeting between the empires, they bumped into each other.
He was part of the Solar Federation Empire, living in the region once known as Europe.
Basically, they were rivals and couldn’t have a close relationship on Earth. But in the Divine Protection Universe, it was different. No empires, no planets — everyone was just a Spiritual Guardian.
In the end, they kept running into each other in that other universe... again and again. Things flowed naturally, but their desire to live together on Earth was stronger than anything else.
Until he found a way — the only way. And that sealed both their fates forever.
