Extra's Path To Demon King-Chapter 84: Nah, I’d win.. [2]
Chapter 84: Nah, I’d win.. [2]
They all attacked the barrier unanimously, without needing any further discussions. But they couldn’t even make a dent on it, not to mention they were severely injured right after facing the aftermath of that world-shattering attack. In fact, they were in absolute disbelief when they first saw that despite using an 8th circle life-saving artifact, they were injured to that extent. So, for all those reasons, they could not bring out their peak prowess.
Just as they were about to launch their more powerful attacks. They saw the bloody figure of Axel completely healed and without a stain of blood in him, but something happened, his blue hair color changed to ashen black, but he did not transform into a demon, the blue color in his eyes intensified, the runic pattern in his eyes changed to something more profound, far more complete.
His entire demeanor changed, a far mightier presence spread in the surroundings, that overshadowed everything else, including the 13 powerhouses. The barrier vanished, and Damien looked at them with an overbearingly condescending gaze, that showed absolute arrogance.
While most of the 13 powerhouses could not make heads or tales or what was happening, Cedric could, he trembled in fear, he still remembered to this very day, how his master, the very Tower master showed him, what the fully unlocked runic eye of Durein Nightcrown had looked like, and seeing the exact same arrogant look and that very pattern and that blue sinister eyes and the black hair, he shuddered.
Could it be Durein had reincarnated, but that should be impossible, their ancestors had definitely killed that man. Seeing the visible terror on the face of Cedric Stormscribe, Damien chuckled and said,
"Yes, I am Durein Nightcrown."
Cedric muttered something incomprehensible to himself as he asked, "The meditation technique?"
"Yes, and this entire thing and everything was perpetrated by your tower or sect masters of each of the organizations. They knew I had left something behind, and it was definitely in the meditation scroll. They needed to bring whatever I left out in the open, but for thousands of years they could not do so, since no one with the runic eyes ever appeared again."
"Those wretches need my knowledge to have a clue about the next level of power. And they thought that they could handle whatever remnant spirit or the Will I left behind?"
"Do you understand what that means? You trashes has always been designated as the cannon fodder. Meant to take the brunt of my anger, until they arrive, so your life and death or well-being was never of any consequence to them, your master’s, that is," stated Damien mockingly towards all the vice masters.
Without waiting for a single more second, or attempting to say a single more word, they all attacked Durein with their most powerful attacks they could muster in point-blank range.
But Damien simply uttered, "VOID."
And with that simplest gesture, all of their attacks vanished without a trace, the difference in power was just that great. Showing a sinister smile Damien declared with malevolence, "Its time you wretches get payback for what you had done to my grandson."
He uttered again, "Death."
All 13 powerhouses received a wave of shock that almost killed them; their bodies wanted to willingly die, but Damien made sure they would hang onto life while experiencing the closest near-death sensation possible. He muttered again,
"Life"
The moment, this command affected them, they could feel their entire being reinvigorated, blessed with life and a beautifully warm feeling, it was like ascending to the heaven right after experiencing hell.
And the ’Death’ was casted again, this process continued in a loop, in a repeat, with a few seconds of rest in between for them to realize and acknowledge both sensations, as the number of it continued in a loop, the powerhouses started to show despair, to show struggle.
After this process had been repeated for a hundred thousand times, their mind started to break, as they begged Damien to stop, they begged like dogs, but that generated a wave of sickening laughter from Axel, who was seeing everything and his grandfather also laughed similarly to himself, both were sadistic in nature to certain a extent.
But then, when the number doubled, they started to beg for death, yes, they wanted to die, dying was better than being dragged to a state close to death, but to only get healed and the process being repeated an uncountable number of times.
Axel experienced the sweetness of revenge at its fullest, and he had to admit he absolutely enjoyed the sensation of his enemies being tortured, to their total breaking point, that they were begging to be killed. He loved seeing what his grandfather was doing. He had to admit, the old man was an overpowered Chad, without a shred of doubt.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t continue the satisfying torture. Damien sensed they were coming, the real powerhouses, the 8th tier beings behind these dogs, but they were obviously not coming to save them, rather for him.
Damien chuckled as he gave one last parting gift to the 13 wretches.
"Seal of Void"
The moment he said that, their bodies went limp, as they had lost consciousness, but they had in fact not. Rather their minds and souls were sealed in the eternal void, temporarily, where they would be all alone, in eternal darkness with nothing but their thoughts, in that place, even a second might feel like an eternity.
While they would eventually come out if their bodies remained safe, even if they did, the consciousness would have died on its own by that time, since it would feel to them like millions of years had passed. In the utter presence of infinite silence and darkness, there would only be the eternal void.
Of course, since it is so powerful, it could not be simply cast anytime or on anyone, rather the target needs to be on a near death state and their close to breaking apart for it to be effective on them. Which is the reason it worked like a charm on the first try against the 13 powerhouses or wretches, by the word of Damien Nomrad, supposedly.
