In the Dense Forest of Tenrou Island

Noel and Azuma, one of the Seven Kin of Purgatory, stood facing each other from a short distance away.

Powerful magical energy rippled through the air between them, creating an eerie and oppressive atmosphere.

"Noel Rutherford, one of the Ten Wizard Saints of Fairy Tail, is it?" Azuma exhaled slowly, his expression serious as he gazed at Noel.

"Grimoire Heart... Is your invasion really for Zeref? Then tell me—why are you so certain that Zeref is on Tenrou Island?"

Noel wasn't surprised that Azuma recognized him.

His name and reputation were well-known throughout the world, and if the enemy didn't recognize him, that would be more suspicious.

However, what intrigued him more was whether the information about Zeref's presence on the island was actually true.

"This is what Master Hades has told us. Hades knows Fairy Tail extremely well, so I don't believe he would be mistaken." Azuma's voice carried absolute certainty.

"Pursuing Zeref... Do you seek to obtain his power?"

"That's right. This is Master Hades' wish—to seek the origin of magic itself. However, personally, my own desire is different. I simply want to fight a true powerhouse like you, one of the legendary Ten Wizard Saints, Noel Rutherford." A faint, burning excitement flickered in Azuma's eyes.

"You should know that I won't do as you wish. That leaves us with only one choice—battle! Leaf Blade!"

With a swift motion of his hand, Azuma unleashed a flurry of razor-sharp leaves, slicing through the air as they shot toward Noel.

As the incoming leaves rushed toward him, Noel subtly shook his head.

In an instant, his body transformed into brilliant light and vanished from sight, causing Azuma's attack to strike nothing but empty air.

"You refuse to listen to me, huh?"

The voice from behind startled Azuma slightly.

He quickly turned around, only to see Noel standing a short distance away, arms crossed, watching him calmly.

"You're ridiculously strong."

Azuma took a small, almost imperceptible step back, clenching his fists.

However, a faint smirk appeared on his lips, and his eyes gleamed with excitement.

He spoke in a low voice:

"Let me introduce my magic. It is a Lost Magic, known as the Arc of the Great Tree. It is the magic of the forest."

As Azuma spoke, the plants surrounding him suddenly began to grow at an astonishing rate, rapidly expanding beyond natural limits.

Then, once they reached a certain stage of growth, the fruits on the plants erupted with loud explosions, igniting into bright orange flames.

"These explosions are created by compressing the earth's magic into the fruits of the trees. But the true power of this magic lies in its ability to take root in the land itself—to dominate all the magic that resides within the earth."

"Magic that controls the land, huh?"

A sharp glint flashed through Noel's eyes as if he had realized something.

"...I think I now understand why you arrived on Tenrou Island before the rest of your forces. If that's the case, I can't ignore you."

The ability to control the land's magic meant that, given enough time, the man before him could gain complete dominance over the magic within Tenrou Island.

Under such circumstances, Fairy Tail would stand absolutely no chance—even against an ordinary dark guild, let alone a powerful enemy like Grimoire Heart.

"So, you've figured out Master Hades' plan?"

Azuma's face showed a slight hint of surprise before quickly returning to calm.

In an instant, a radiant light barrier formed in front of him.

As the arrow-like branches struck the barrier, they produced a series of metallic clashing sounds.

"A defense of light? Then, how about this?" Azuma let out a cold snort.

The trees surrounding Noel, as well as those beneath his feet, suddenly came to life.

Numerous vines extended and lashed toward him, attempting to ensnare him.

As if he had already anticipated the attack, Noel lightly leaped into the air, effortlessly evading the entangling vines.

He then unfurled pure white wings of light, weaving through the oncoming vines with agility.

His hands glowed with radiant light magic—dodging when possible and striking away any vines he couldn't avoid with swift punches, all while rapidly closing the distance toward Azuma.

"Such power... truly exhilarating."

Watching Noel effortlessly break through his attacks, Azuma's eyes widened.

His body trembled slightly—not from fear, but from sheer excitement.

Without hesitation, he stepped forward, directly facing the approaching Noel.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The sounds of fists and feet colliding echoed through the air.

In the blink of an eye, Noel and Azuma had exchanged dozens of blows.

There were no grand magical techniques—just pure close-quarters combat.

However, Azuma was clearly at a disadvantage.

Before Noel could react, the vines coiled tightly around his limbs, binding him in place.

Not giving Noel any time to break free, the vines detonated in a series of chained explosions.

The smoke and dust from the explosions were suddenly dispersed by an overwhelming surge of magic.

Noel's figure reappeared amidst the clearing smoke, his cold gaze showing no sign of concern.

In his hands, countless radiant strands of white light began to converge, forming an enormous bow and arrow of pure energy.

This was Light Arrow, but the sheer concentration of power it now held—especially at the arrowhead—was beyond anything he had unleashed before.

"Holy Light Magic—Sacred Radiant Arrow."

Noel spoke calmly as he loosened his fingers.

The bowstring twanged as the arrow of light shot forth like a dazzling pillar, tearing through the air and obliterating everything in its path.

Boom!

A deafening explosion rocked Tenrou Island.

The immense force of the attack left a visible impact, shaking the very land itself.

From where Noel stood, a straight-line path spanning several hundred meters had been completely erased—leaving behind nothing but an empty, barren strip of land.

Not even a single blade of grass remained.

The arrow of light had annihilated everything in its way, leaving behind a long, trailing streak of brilliance as it vanished into the distant sky.
