Falling for the Omega Idol-Chapter 140: IN THE PD’S OFFICE
Chapter 140: IN THE PD’S OFFICE
TAEYANG was currently inside one of the ship’s isolation rooms prepared for Alphas and Omegas who suddenly lost control of their pheromones. The onboard doctor had told him and Kim Joonhyuk to isolate themselves, since both were Alphas who might’ve been affected by Park Seongwoo’s pheromones.
Not that this applied to Taeyang. These days, the only one who seemed to affect him was Haneul.
After receiving suppressant shots, they’d been whisked here. And since Kim Joonhyuk shared the same isolation room, the knocking could only be coming from him.
As if to confirm his thoughts, Kim Joonhyuk’s voice called through the door:
"Taeyang-ssi, are you still not finished? A staff member was just here. He says the PD wants to speak with us."
"Yes, I’ll be out in a minute!" Taeyang called back.
What else could he say? He couldn’t exactly walk out of the bathroom while still sporting a raging boner. Hell, he couldn’t even focus on why the PD wanted to talk to them—not with this damned problem straining against his pants.
Taeyang took several deep breaths, then deliberately focused on his most painful memory—the hospital scene surfacing immediately. His mother’s tear-streaked face as she begged the doctors to save her other son instead, while ignoring Taeyang completely. The image worked instantly, killing any lingering arousal he was feeling.
He looked down. Just as expected, the tent was gone. He let out a bitter laugh. Even after all this time, that woman could still affect him this much. With one last steadying breath, he finally stepped out of the bathroom.

Haneul and Robin followed the staff member to the PD’s office. The room was simple but organized—a large wooden desk stacked with papers, two chairs facing it, and shelves lined with binders and equipment. The PD sat behind the desk, looking up from his computer as they entered. His expression was stern, but not hostile. A half-drunk cup of coffee sat near his elbow.
"Please, have a seat," PD Song said, gesturing to the chairs in front of his desk. "We’ll wait for the rest of your team before we begin."
Haneul and Robin exchanged a quick glance before lowering themselves into the chairs.
The office door opened again, and another staff member ushered Taeyang and Kim Joonhyuk inside.
The moment Taeyang entered, his eyes instinctively found Haneul’s. Their gazes met and there’s a brief, charged look that made the air between them feel suddenly thicker. Both immediately glanced away, Taeyang’s jaw tightening as he focused on the far wall, Haneul’s fingers gripping the edge of his chair just a little too tightly.
Taeyang’s mind raced with the need to act normal, to pretend nothing was wrong. So he simply didn’t look. He didn’t even try to breathe in the other’s direction as he sat down. Haneul, meanwhile, willed his heartbeat to slow, praying his face wasn’t as warm as it felt. frёewebnoѵēl.com
Neither dared to look back at the other.
Robin, ever observant, didn’t miss the tense exchange between the two. His eyebrows shot up as he put the pieces together.
Earlier, in all the chaos with Lee Minjae and Park Seongwoo, he hadn’t had time to process everything. But now, thinking back—when Haneul had stepped in front of him, this sweet kid, Taeyang had immediately moved to shield Haneul. And then there were those scents... Robin vaguely remembered catching something sweet wafting from Haneul, and something deeper, almost musty, coming from Taeyang. Standing that close, they must have smelled each other’s pheromones.
Now, watching them pointedly avoiding eye contact and fidgeting like guilty schoolboys, a thought struck him: Wait... could it be...?
Robin didn’t get the chance to dwell on the thought any further because PD Song suddenly cleared his throat.
PD Song folded his hands on the desk, his expression serious but apologetic. "First, I want to apologize for what happened today. The production team should have been more careful in monitoring the contestants’ conditions, especially regarding ruts and heats. We’ll conduct a thorough investigation into this incident before deciding how to handle Lee Minjae’s situation."
"How soon will we know the results? Our team still needs to practice, and we have to know whether we’ll be working with him or not," Taeyang asked in a polite yet firm manner.
PD Song nodded in understanding. "Within 24 hours. We understand the urgency, but we need to review all footage and consult with the medical team first. You’ll be informed as soon as we reach a decision."
Haneul hesitated before speaking up. "What about Seongwoo-ssi?" he asked carefully. "This won’t negatively affect him, will it?"
Even though they weren’t close, it would be completely unfair if Park Seongwoo faced any consequences for something that wasn’t his fault at all.
PD Song shook his head. "No, Park Seongwoo won’t be penalized. He wasn’t at fault here—if anything, he’s the one who suffered most from this situation." He glanced around at the group, his tone softening slightly. "If there are no other questions, please take the rest of the day to get some proper rest. We’ll inform you of the decision about Lee Minjae by tomorrow. If there’s nothing else, you’re all free to go."
Haneul felt a wave of relief wash over him at the PD’s words. With nothing left to discuss, the four of them pushed back their chairs and filed out of the office one by one.
Song Kyungho watched the four contestants leave, then released a weary sigh. He’d never anticipated such an incident—an Alpha entering rut surrounded by three Omegas and two other Alphas. The mere thought of what might have happened if those in the practice room had lacked presence of mind made his blood run cold. One thing was certain: without their quick thinking, it would have been an unmitigated disaster.
This was exactly why they had put that specific clause in the contracts - all Alpha and Omega contestants must take suppressant shots or pills at least five days before their scheduled rut or heat. They had included this rule to prevent exactly this kind of situation from happening.
But who would have thought a contestant would still ignore it? And "ignore" was definitely the right word, because if Lee Minjae had properly prepared and followed the rules like he was supposed to, this incident never would have occurred in the first place.
Song Kyungho pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. While he’d told the four earlier that they needed 24 hours to decide, the truth was the decision about Lee Minjae was practically already made.
There was no way around it—they would have to disqualify him.
He massaged his temples, already dreading the editing overhaul. At least they wouldn’t need to bother with blurring—Lee Minjae would be erased completely from episodes 1 and 2.
The small mercy was that the idiot hadn’t been featured prominently in many shots, mostly lingering in the background during group scenes. Still, it meant combing through every frame to scrub him out, an exhausting task the overworked editing team definitely didn’t need a week right before broadcast.
With another weary sigh, he prayed this would be the last incident of its kind. The announcement of Lee Minjae’s disqualification should do its work. Hopefully.
