Chapter 357: Chapter 357 Treatment

About half an hour later, Serena Summers suddenly opened her eyes.

Adrian Holt had just changed his clothes and walked out from the walk-in closet. Seeing her sitting dazedly on the bed, he couldn’t help but chuckle lightly.

"Awake?"

"Mmm..." Serena rubbed her sleepy eyes, a layer of hazy mist shimmering in her eyes.

Her fluffy hair was somewhat messy, and a tuft of hair stood up on top of her head, slightly curling as she turned her head.

Adrian felt an itch in his hands, unable to resist, he rubbed the top of her head and fiddled with that tuft of hair with his slender fingers.

That strand of hair moved along as well, wobbling adorably.

Serena turned to look at Adrian and suddenly asked, "Did we forget something?"

Adrian arched an eyebrow, holding back a smile as he retorted, "Oh? Did we? I can’t seem to remember anything."

"Impossible, there must be something very important! Let me think..."

Serena was still groggy from sleep, and her mind was foggy. Suddenly, a light bulb went off, "Professor Harvey! Did we forget to pick him up from the airport?"

This morning, Professor Harvey was flying in to treat Adrian, how could she forget such a significant event?

With a troubled scratch of her head, Serena hurriedly got out of bed and ran to the bathroom to wash up.

Watching her flustered back, Adrian smiled helplessly and followed her.

As Serena brushed her teeth, she suddenly saw a familiar figure in the mirror.

Turning around, she saw Adrian with his arms crossed, leaning casually against the doorframe, gazing at her leisurely.

Serena paused with her toothbrush in hand and squinted suspiciously, "Why aren’t you panicking at all?"

Adrian shrugged, "Look at the time now. Professor Harvey’s flight landed over an hour ago."

Serena looked at him with a face full of surprise, "So... while I was asleep, you went to the airport and picked him up?"

"Not me, it was my brother."

Indeed, he did doze off briefly, but as soon as Serena fell into a deep sleep, he got up.

But when he went downstairs, he found that his brother had already left earlier.

Right now, Professor Harvey is chatting with Master Shaw, both enjoying the conversation immensely, as if they were long-lost friends.

If not for his brother intercepting them downstairs, these two might start discussing Corland culture and end up sworn brothers right on the spot.

"Let me change my clothes and we’ll head down quickly," Serena said, covering her face embarrassedly and speeding up her washing.

Downstairs, in the living room, sat a man in his sixties dressed in a suit, his hair completely white, chatting with Master Shaw.

Laughter rang out from time to time.

As Master Shaw leisurely made tea, he discussed Corland’s tea culture with him.

Professor Harvey, very interested in Corland culture, watched Master Shaw’s movements intently, his eyes filled with admiration and surprise.

Then, hurried footsteps came from the stairwell. Professor Harvey looked up and saw a strikingly attractive couple coming down the stairs.

Serena, tugging Adrian along, gave an apologetic nod to Professor Harvey, "Professor, sorry to have kept you waiting."

"No worries, I’ve learned a lot about Corland culture here; this trip was very worthwhile."

Professor Harvey’s parents were Corland immigrants, and he was born overseas, so his Chinese was very fluent.

Master Shaw quietly glared at Adrian and scolded, "Can’t you see what day it is? It’s okay to mess around usually, but today you overslept? Luckily, Liam helped you."

This Professor Harvey is an expert in psychological hypnosis, recognized internationally for his professional prowess. Getting him here was harder than reaching the sky.

Those two managed to comfortably sleep in.

Adrian Holt quickly admitted his fault with a sincere attitude, taking all the responsibility upon himself.

Fortunately, Professor Harvey didn’t mind the details and didn’t take these to heart.

Professor Harvey fixed his gaze on Adrian Holt, his eyes examining as he asked, "You are the patient whose memory has been tampered with through hypnosis?"

"Yes." Adrian Holt nodded affirmatively.

Professor Harvey pondered for a moment, then said to Master Shaw, "I need a quiet room, with no disturbances from anyone."

"No problem, I’ll have someone arrange it right away. Professor Harvey, can this illness be cured?"

"It’s too early to conclude now; I need to examine him carefully first."

Master Shaw was somewhat disappointed, but he still spiritedly had someone prepare the room.

Serena Summers tightly grabbed Adrian Holt’s hand, her mood also tensing up.

Seeing her worried eyes, Adrian Holt chuckled softly, squeezed the soft flesh in her palm, and mouthed to reassure her, "Don’t worry, it will be alright."

Soon, the butler had tidied up the study, and everyone, along with Professor Harvey and his assistant, went upstairs.

Upon reaching the study door, Professor Harvey paused, turned around, and said, "No one must come in and disturb us during the patient’s consultation; family members need to wait outside."

Master Shaw’s brow furrowed tightly, about to say something more, but Serena stopped him.

"Professor, rest assured, I won’t let anyone disturb you."

She had looked into the relevant information; some doctors are extremely strict about their treatment environments to ensure the best results.

Adrian Holt spoke in a low voice, "Don’t be so nervous, I’ll be out soon."

Serena Summers nodded heavily, not showing her emotions, and as the door slowly closed, her heart clenched tightly too.

Inside the study, Adrian Holt and Professor Harvey sat facing each other across the desk, eyes locked, one gentle and warm, the other concealing sharpness.

The two confronted each other for a long time, and Adrian Holt was the first to speak, "You must know M, right?"

Professor Harvey was startled, instinctively denying, "Mr. Holt, I don’t know what you’re talking about."

"Then how do you know my surname is Holt? Ever since I returned to the Shaw Family, I have been using the name Lucas Shaw externally." Adrian Holt narrowed his eyes slightly, the chill in his eyes almost spilling over.

Professor Harvey smiled and shook his head, now having a bit of interest in Adrian Holt, feeling this trip was worthwhile.

"I came here upon the invitation of Dean Carter."

He answered only half, leaving the rest unsaid.

While Dean Carter holds some sway in the medical community of Corland, he is not influential enough to summon him.

He initially intended to decline Dean Carter’s request, but then, unexpectedly, he received a phone call.

"M must have known about my identity for a long time, who exactly is he?" Adrian Holt’s expression darkened, his aura becoming extremely fierce.

Who M really is... has always troubled him.

It seems he knows him very well; his concern extends far beyond mere friendship.

However, sometimes, he feels like he’s very distant from him.

This feeling, he has never experienced with anyone else.

From the moment he saw Professor Harvey today, he was certain this person was sent by M, but Professor Harvey agreed to see him just as he had returned to S City.

Which means... M actually knew about his return early on, but why did he choose to conceal it?
