Galactic knight: Apocalypse system Activated!-Chapter 30: Mech Monster [1]
Chapter 30 - Mech Monster [1]
That punch sent Julian hovering through some bodies of what looked like nebulas and then...
Rammm!
His head was badly hit on the star cruiser.
Thank goddess he was wearing the helmet or he would have been badly injured.
Even with the Steel Fist hitting him hard against the neck region (which was again covered by the armor), he just sustained a slight pain.
'Sustained a slight pain!'
Julian gritted his teeth, staring at what was facing him with a deadly gaze.
Think of Cavill's Superman gaze. Lethal, cool, and very deadly.
Something that emitted signs of brutality.
Something that emitted that the gazer didn't give a fuck!
Well, what faced Julian looked like it didn't give a fuck also.
It was a large mech robot.
It ought to be like the normal but then, this was a fusion of a certain alien creature in a mech costume.
Seemingly like it was fused into its body.
It looked dangerous, with bulky fists, long ugly teeth, and a face with a half helmet.
Half helmet in the sense that it covered just the upper region of its face, and that was why Julian could see its damn ugly teeth.
The star cruiser wasn't too affected by the force of Julian being flung on it.
It had moved a bit, but not so much to alarm Julian to save Rehul.
Julian clicked his teeth, stretching his right hand and instantly summoning the Costral Blade.
Julian looked at the sword slowly, impressed with how it glowed softly with the faint light of the galaxy.
"Want to fight?" he asked, facing the mech monster.
The mech monster shot out a loud electro-sonic sound from its mouth.
It seemed to carry a force (the shout) because it hit Julian very hard on the face, which was concealed by the helmet.
It moved him back a bit, but nonetheless he tried to act unfazed by the stuff.
Julian turned back to look at Rehul, who wore a worried expression on her face.
"Don't fight—" she wanted to say.
Julian cut her off.
"Have you forgotten?"
Rehul felt perplexed.
The size of this mech monster was what scared her the most.
It looked 10 ft tall.
Julian scoffed.
He must have known what was troubling her.
To him, this actually looked 4 ft tall, and he felt 12 ft tall.
As earlier explained in the beginning Chapters, Julian felt like he reincarnated. He was still Julian in the physical form, though, but his mind was now in half.
Before he became the Galactic Knight, he was someone that had always been fearful. Even to some extent, Luiin was braver than him (forget the beginning when he was acting all brave to save her—he was just doing manly duties and Luiin was acting like the female).
He was someone that would never stand up to face anyone if it wasn't for Luiin.
But now, his mind was 60 percent Galactic Knight and 40 percent Julian.
That was it!
He saw his notification!
[System Sync: 32%]
Julian smiled.
From fourteen to thirty-two?
Perhaps with all the adventures he had experienced since all this while and how he was reacting to facing this monster.
He stretched his left hand and summoned the shield, which held very firmly.
If this monster wanted to fight, he would give it to it alright.
Tiny meteorites drifted past their faces.
Stars blinked.
The empty space stretched out.
Darkness blinked.
Julian gritted his teeth.
The mech monster gritted its bones.
Rehul looked on, worried.
Julian tilted his head sideways, and it made a slight creaking sound.
The monster grinned, and even as brave as Julian was, it looked very deadly.
It also tilted its neck sideways and...
Cralkkklkk! Brtttakkk!
Vrraknnnkkkkkk!
The bones sounded like they were being broken in the literal sense.
Julian decided he would not attack first, as he didn't know how many more powers this hellish monster had.
The monster snapped its fingers, and two large-looking swords shot out of its hands.
The edges looked like they had been crafted from the sun itself.
Julian, too, brandished his sword in the air, and the monster swiftly came at him.
Frooo... whoooosh!
Julian watched it come.
Then (in the air), he sidestepped.
The mech monster sent its sword very ferociously to where he had just left.
Julian quickly somersaulted.
Gravity basically was lost here, so he could do almost whatever he wanted in the sky right now.
The mech monster followed, throwing the large sword at Julian.
Julian watched it come.
There was no gravity in space from what he knew, so would he be able to control gravity at this point?
He tried to.
He waved his hands forward to push it back, but then, nothing.
Damn!
He couldn't use his gravity power here. If he could, this mech monster would be very little for him to handle.
He would simply just make its parts fall off.
But then, Julian realized something. Perhaps he couldn't use his gravity powers to the fullest because it was just at level one.
What if he advanced to a much higher level?
He would be simply unstoppable.
He would be able to use the power everywhere.
Thooojjjk!
The enormous steel sun-looking sword went into him.
Thooom!
An impact!
It shot him backwards, and he hit his head hard against...
...a meteorite.
Julian felt a lot of pain now.
The helmet sure couldn't cover this.
It hit him hard.
Like the wind had just kissed a portion of his kidney.
Excruciating pain.
What made it so painful and even more excruciating was that a large heavy sword with the steel of the sun (perhaps, not for certain though) had just hit him on the chest.
And upon that, he still went through (very significantly) a meteorite.
His breathing was ragged now, his vision suddenly blurry.
This wasn't what he hoped for.
'Damn!'
This wasn't what he expected!
This wasn't what he wanted to happen.
This wasn't what...
Rehul watched from the star cruiser. Her eyes were filled with tears and she was screaming his name.
But the star cruiser seemed to be almost soundproof, because only a little could be heard.
The mech monster threw the other sword at Julian.
Clannkkk!
It took off his helmet.
His face was now bare, and before he knew what was happening, the monster drove its fist by the side of his jaw.
Julian spat red like blood from his mouth, and it drifted upwards very slowly, so slowly he could see it.
The mech monster held Julian by the head and said:
"I'm not a monster, alright? I can speak."
With that, it started to hit Julian's face into incoming large meteorites.
