Chapter 151: The Dance That Killed a Monster

The heroes stared at her, still tense and covered in dust.

One of the A-Rank heroes stepped forward, gripping his weapon tightly.

"Why are you here, Velvet Demon?"

Another added, "Are you connected to Valcair?"

Velra tilted her head slightly, then started laughing.

"Me? Connected to Valcair?"

She laughed louder, one hand resting on her hip.

"You like jokes, huh?"

The fire wielder narrowed his eyes. "Then explain. Why are you here?"

Velra’s smile didn’t fade.

She took a few slow steps forward, boots clicking softly on the floor.

"So you really want to know?"

She stopped, looking them all over with her half-lidded pink eyes.

"You want answers from me?"

But then, a heavy thud shook the ground.

The mutated beast roared behind her, stepping forward again, ready to attack.

Velra turned her head slightly toward the noise, eyes still glowing.

"Hmm... loud one’s still standing."

She looked back at the heroes.

"But first—" she raised one leg slowly, stretching it like a dancer.

"Let me handle him." freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

Without waiting for a reply, Velra stepped toward the monster, her smile sharp as a blade.

"Watch closely," she said. "Class is starting."

Then she rushed forward.

The mutated beast let out a roar and charged at her, six arms raised, claws out, wings flaring wide.

It had already beaten down a full team of heroes, but Velra didn’t slow down.

She moved like a dancer.

A pink glow burst from her feet and spread across the ground in a wide circle.

The air shifted.

Her Waltz Zone activated.

The world slowed slightly around her. Her eyes sharpened. Her body reacted faster.

The beast swiped with two massive claws.

Velra ducked under the first, spun away from the second, and stepped in close.

She kicked once—high and fast—striking its side.

Then another, spinning around and slamming her heel into its leg.

The kicks didn’t send it flying, but it staggered.

And behind every movement, she left glowing pink trails.

Trace Imprint.

The beast stepped back.

But one of the glowing traces flared and exploded in a small burst of electric shock.

It growled, confused.

Velra didn’t stop.

She leapt upward, flipped over its shoulder, and planted another kick to its back.

Another glowing trail followed.

"You’re strong," she said, landing lightly. "But not fast enough."

The beast turned sharply and swung all six arms in a wide arc.

Velra backflipped, her feet sliding along the ground with grace.

The Waltz Zone allowed her to dodge everything like a rhythm she controlled.

Another trace lit up beneath the monster’s foot.

It exploded in a small blast of pink energy, sending it stumbling again.

"What’s happening?" one B-Rank hero whispered, watching.

"She’s toying with it," the flame wielder muttered.

Velra twirled once more, rushing in with a burst of speed.

She ducked low, slid between the monster’s legs, and kicked upward as she passed.

Another trace appeared.

The moment the beast turned to face her again, three of her glowing trails around it activated all at once.

Boom. Crack. Flash.

The monster roared, smoke rising from its arms and chest.

Velra stood a few steps away, arms crossed, one leg slightly forward like she was posing.

She smirked.

"Still standing? Good."

She tapped her heel once on the floor, resetting her stance.

"Because I’m not done dancing."

The mutated beast roared again, wings flapping hard.

Its body bulked up, muscles swelling from Growth Shift.

Blood dripped from its mouth, but it still charged, faster and harder than before.

Velra didn’t flinch.

She slid one foot back, hands at her sides, her body relaxed.

The beast lunged.

Velra moved.

She spun left, barely avoiding a claw swipe, then leaned back as a fist whooshed past her face.

She struck.

One, two, three quick kicks to the side of its ribs, each one leaving a glowing pink trail behind.

The monster twisted and swung again, roaring with frustration.

Velra ducked, flipped backward, and landed light on her toes.

The glowing trails on the monster’s body sparked.

Tiny jolts of lightning, a bit of smoke. Still not enough.

She narrowed her eyes.

"Let’s turn it up."

She dashed forward again, tracing circles around the beast with her kicks, each one landing fast, clean, and sharp.

Fire glowed in some of the traces.

Others shimmered like ice.

A few buzzed with wind and shock.

She was painting the battlefield.

The monster tried to grab her.

She backflipped away, leaving one final glowing mark across its chest.

Then she stopped.

She stood straight, breathing steady, pink light flickering all around her.

The monster faced her, growling, shaking.

Velra raised one hand and pointed with two fingers.

"This is my stage," she said. "You’re just the finale."

She clenched her fist.

All the Trace Imprints lit up at once.

Fire, ice, lightning, wind.

All exploded in a chain reaction around the beast.

BOOM—BOOM—BOOM!

The monster let out a final roar, but its voice was drowned by the blast.

Light filled the chamber.

Heat, smoke, and raw force tore through the air.

The heroes shielded their eyes.

When the smoke faded, the mutated beast was on the ground.

It was motionless, its body scorched, limbs cracked, steam rising from the wounds.

Velra stood tall, one leg forward, pink sparks still trailing off her boots.

She looked at the stunned hero team and smiled under her mask.

"Lesson over."

---

The heroes stared at the scene in shock.

The massive mutated beast was dead.

Velra stood calmly in front of it, not a scratch on her body.

One of the B-Rank heroes took a step forward.

"H-How... how can she kill it so easily?"

Another whispered, "That thing crushed our whole team. We couldn’t even scratch it."

The fire wielder narrowed his eyes.

"She didn’t even use brute strength... it was all precision."

The eagle scout landed beside them, shaking his head.

"That was insane. She didn’t block. She didn’t rush. She just danced."

"She’s not normal," the metal user said.

"This... this isn’t just skill. She made it look like art."

The captain frowned. "She’s not with Valcair. She’s something else entirely."

The vine user whispered, "She’s the Velvet Demon... I thought the name was a rumor."

Velra turned her head slightly toward them, eyes half-lidded behind her mask.

"Was that impressive enough for you?" she said with a teasing smile.

None of the heroes answered.

They were just too stunned.
