Chapter 178: Alpha Male, Meet Alpha Fist

Red Demon, Yellow Demon, and Blue Demon stood together near the training hall doors.

Their bodies still pulsed faintly with the leftover energy from the transformation.

Yellow Demon crossed her arms, eyes shifting between the other two.

"Where are we even going?" she asked, tilting her head.

Red Demon cracked her knuckles, her eyes glinting.

"Anywhere. I want to test this new power."

Blue Demon gave her a sharp look.

"You always want to test things by blowing something up," she said.

Red Demon scoffed. "And? It works."

Blue Demon ignored the comment and turned to Yellow Demon.

"I’ve got a villain group I’ve been watching."

"They’re holed up in one of the abandoned factories."

"It’s big enough that it should give us a proper fight."

Yellow Demon nodded.

"Alright, let’s check it out."

Blue Demon pointed a finger at her.

"You follow me, then. We’ll hit them together."

Yellow Demon smirked.

"Fine. But you better not take all the fun."

Blue Demon turned her head toward Red Demon.

"And you—" she paused for a second, then exhaled.

"You just go out there and hunt beasts. Big ones."

Red Demon’s eyes widened.

"Why the hell would I do that?" she snapped.

Blue Demon crossed her arms.

"Because you’re too hot-headed."

"If you come with us, you’ll probably blow our cover before we even get close."

Red Demon clenched her fists.

"I’m not hot-headed!"

Blue Demon smirked.

"Prove it then. Go kill something that actually fights back."

"The last time you ’tested your power,’ you nearly burned down half the hall."

Yellow Demon let out a small laugh.

"She’s right, you know."

Red Demon growled under her breath but didn’t argue further.

"Fine. But when I come back, I better see some real results from you two."

Blue Demon gave her a slow nod.

"Just focus on getting stronger. The Master wants results."

Red Demon rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah. Don’t lecture me."

Yellow Demon raised a hand.

"Hey, save it for the enemies. Let’s move."

Blue Demon grinned. "Agreed."

Red Demon turned on her heel and stormed off toward the beast-infested outskirts.

Blue Demon and Yellow Demon exchanged a quick look, then headed in the opposite direction, toward the factory district.

As they left, the air behind them shimmered faintly with traces of Heavenly Demon Ether.

Somewhere deep in the training hall, Zain’s voice echoed in their heads.

"Don’t disappoint me."

The three girls felt the weight of his words and picked up their pace.

---

Red Demon and her squad moved quickly, deeper into the ruined outskirts.

The air was thick with dust and the scent of old blood.

She raised her hand, signaling the group to halt.

"Hold," she said, eyes narrowing. "I sense something."

The group of women spread out, scanning the broken buildings and shattered walls.

A low growl rumbled through the air, vibrating the ground beneath their feet.

One of the girls whispered, "What is that sound?"

Red Demon clenched her fist. "Something big."

She stepped forward, eyes sharp.

Then she saw it.

In the center of the clearing stood the Rumblejaw Alpha.

A massive, hunchbacked beast covered in bone plating.

Its jaw glowed with a low red light, teeth jagged and saw-like.

From its spine rose thick, ridged horns, each one vibrating and creating deep, resonant growls.

Its claws were jagged, long enough to rip steel.

Around it, smaller beasts circled, Rumblejaw Marauders.

They were shorter, more hunched.

Bone spikes protruded from their elbows and knees.

Their mouths glowed, growling constantly.

Red Demon smirked.

"There it is," she said. "That’s our target."

She glanced back at her group.

"I’ll take the leader," she said firmly. "You all handle the grunts."

The girls nodded, spreading out in formation.

Rumblejaw Alpha’s eyes glowed brighter as it spotted the wave of black-cloaked women charging at it.

It roared and lifted both massive arms.

"Get ready!" Red Demon shouted.

The beast slammed its forelimbs into the ground.

[Earthshock Stomp] activated.

A shockwave burst through the ground. Cracks shot through the dirt and walls.

The force sent most of the girls tumbling, struggling to stay upright.

Some were knocked off their feet entirely.

But Red Demon didn’t fall.

She dashed forward, closing the distance in seconds.

Her eyes locked on the Alpha.

Rumblejaw Alpha’s growl deepened.

Its horns pulsed with power. The air shimmered around it.

[Alpha Resonance] activated.

The smaller Rumblejaw Marauders around the Alpha roared louder.

Their bodies glowed with a faint red aura.

They doubled their speed, lunging at Red Demon’s group.

But Red Demon didn’t slow down.

She leapt high and landed right in front of the Alpha, her foot cracking the ground.

"Nice trick," she sneered. "But it’s just us now."

The Rumblejaw Alpha’s red eyes glared at her. Its claws flexed.

Red Demon grinned, tilting her head.

"Come on. Let’s see how powerful you really are."

The Alpha lunged forward, claws outstretched.

Red Demon met it head-on, her hand already glowing with dark energy.

Around them, the battle raged.

The Rumblejaw Marauders clashed with the rest of the girls.

One of the girls shouted, "We’ve got them! Just hold the line!"

Another girl rolled aside, dodging a claw swipe.

"They’re strong but not invincible! Keep pushing!"

Meanwhile, Red Demon’s eyes locked on the Rumblejaw Alpha.

She could feel the tension, the power coiling inside her.

She let the [Heavenly Demon Ether] cover her hand.

The dark energy wrapped around her fist, pulsing with heat.

She spoke low, just enough for the Alpha to hear.

"Let’s see how tough you really are."

The beast was too focused on leading its pack so it couldn’t dodge.

Red Demon lunged, her fist connecting with a loud crack.

The Alpha’s massive body flew sideways, bones rattling from the impact.

Red Demon smirked as she watched it slide across the ground.

"Big body, slow mind," she muttered.

She stepped forward, eyes never leaving the beast.

The Rumblejaw Alpha growled low.

Its claws dug into the dirt as it struggled to stand.

"You’re alone now," Red Demon taunted.

"Your little grunts are too far to help you."

The Alpha’s eyes narrowed, its jaw grinding.

Red Demon rolled her shoulders and cracked her neck.

"Nice noise. Too bad noise won’t save you."

The beast stomped the ground, but its claws scraped with frustration instead of confidence.

Red Demon smirked again.

"Come on," she said.

"Don’t hold back. I want to see every last trick you’ve got."

The Rumblejaw Alpha roared again, this time louder.

Its body trembled with rage.

Red Demon only laughed.

"Yeah, that’s the spirit," she said, stepping forward.

"Let’s finish this."
