Chapter 74 - Greed and Gluttony!

There was still no response from anyone around, as if Akira was the only person in the vicinity. Akira's handsome face was filled with disdain. He spat and coldly scolded.

"Since you won't come down, I'll help you down!"

"Blissey, Gravity!"

Blissey instantly appeared beside Akira, its hands enveloped in a thick pink aura of psychic energy. The gravity in the surrounding area inexplicably increased several times over!

"Boom!"

Suddenly, something crashed down from the sky, hitting the ground with a thunderous roar!

The impact was so immense that the grassy ground collapsed, sending up clouds of dusty yellow dust.

"Yo! Did you crash? I told you to come down on your own, but you insisted on making me help you"

Akira coldly watched the two disheveled figures, his expression unchanged as he continued to mock them.

"Cough... Gluttony, you idiot! Why did you suddenly drop like that?"

"It wasn't me! It was his doing!"

The two figures slowly rose from the dust, revealing their appearances. One of them was dressed in a black suit, looking like an insurance salesman who spent his days peddling policies. The other was far stranger, barely even human!

His exposed skin was covered in dense green scales, resembling the appearance of some kind of lizard. His hands were enormous, like bear paws, with long and sharp nails.

The most striking feature, however, was the pair of large crimson wings on his back!

He actually has wings!

The two were none other than Greed and Gluttony, here for revenge!

It was thanks to Gluttony flying ability that the two had been able to observe Akira from the air. They had been staking out the Zoldyck family since yesterday, waiting for Akira to emerge. They were the two little flies mentioned by Akira and Maha.

Akira lowered his gaze, silently watching the two bicker. To be honest, their strength wasn't low—in fact, they were incredibly powerful!

This was evident from the fact that they landed on the ground without a speck of dust on them. Saying they were "low" was only in comparison to himself.

Greed

Strength: A

Nen Ability: Power of Greed, Transmutation Type.

Can transform his aura into the form of another person's aura and lend it to them for use. Within one month of lending, his own aura won't increase through training, but after a month, he will automatically extract 1.5 times the amount of aura he lent from the recipient.

If the recipient cannot provide it, they will be drained. This ability can only be used on one person at a time.

Gluttony

Strength: A+

Nen Ability: Devour and Acquire, Enhancement Type.

Devour: His body, enhanced by Nen, can swallow most living beings, but he must endure significant pain during the process.

Acquire: Can gain enhancements from the creatures he devours. The more he eats, the higher the probability of gaining abilities. The more powerful the ability, the greater the pain he must endure, and the lower the probability of acquiring it.

One at A-rank, and one at A+!

Such strength would absolutely make them top-tier experts in the outside world! Moreover, their Nen abilities were far from simple, with incredibly high potential!

One could continuously amass vast amounts of aura without needing to train himself, essentially operating like a loan shark! Over time, the aura he accumulated would become an enormous reservoir of energy.

The other was even more extraordinary, able to enhance his body by devouring living beings—scales, wings, and the like were likely acquired this way!

His strength had increased, but he had also been transformed into a monstrous, inhuman figure!

But so what? He was about to die!

"I thought it was some magical beast. Turns out it's just a half-breed!" Akira sneered, his words dripping with disdain for Gluttony.

Gluttony stared at Akira, licking his lips, his beast-like eyes flashing with bloodlust.

He was going to devour Akira!

Perhaps after devouring Akira, he could obtain the coveted ability to remove curses that he so admired.

Gluttony coldly glanced at Greed, ignoring him. Gluttony always acted this way whenever he encountered a formidable creature. Greed even suspected that Gluttony had long wanted to devour the other members of the "Seven Deadly Sins."

This was also why Greed had always disliked Gluttony. Just like his appearance, Gluttony inner mindset was no longer that of a normal person. Now, all living beings, including humans, were divided into only two categories in Gluttony eyes.

One was worth eating, and the other was not!

In a sense, Gluttony and Envy were similar. Both wanted to destroy genius. The only difference was that one was driven by jealousy of the other abilities, letting insects devour them. The other wanted to obtain the other's abilities by devouring them himself.

Unseen Observer: Earthworm

Just as the three were about to engage in battle, a strange "creature" lurked in the soil beneath a nearby tree. It looked like a giant earthworm but had a human face. The combination of the two made it both ugly and horrifying. It was one of the original "Shadow beast"—Earthworm!

In the Yorknew City arc, the Ten Dons had sent out the so-called "Shadow beast" to stop the Phantom Troupe from disrupting the auction.

The unit consisted of ten Nen users, each with a code name related to animals.

For example: Earthworm, Porcupine, Owl, and others.

This time, because the Ten Dons had formed a partnership with the "Seven Deadly Sins," they specifically sent Earthworm, the most adept at lurking among the Shadow beast, to further assess the strength of their new allies.

Earthworm ability to conceal his presence was extremely strong. Even against Gluttony and Greed, whose strength was in the A-tier range. As long as they didn't deliberately use a high-intensity "En" in his direction, he wouldn't be detected.

The performance of the "Seven Deadly Sins" in various aspects would influence whether the Ten Dons would fulfill their promise to Pride.

The first observation would begin with the "Seven Deadly Sins'" revenge!

Like Pride, the Ten Dons didn't believe Akira was truly that powerful. So this was just the first observation, there would be many more to come.

Earthworm completely hid his body in the soil but could still sense the conversation above through his ability, Although he was momentarily surprised when the two fell from the sky earlier.

After a moment, he figured it out—it was probably just a special Nen ability that could drag flying objects down.

...

"Is there any movement from the Zoldyck family?" Gluttony asked, though his eyes never left Akira.

Greed, using "En," sensed the situation at the distant Zoldyck family and slowly replied.

"No, it seems this kid hasn't made any deals with the Zoldyck family. We can proceed without worry."

Hearing this, Akira expression shifted slightly, showing some surprise.

Could they really sense the Zoldyck family situation from here using "En"? Although it was likely only reaching their front gate, that was still an impressive range! With his vast reserves of Nen, Greed could effortlessly deploy a large-scale "En," which was extremely taxing.

As a Transmuter, Greed theoretically shouldn't be particularly skilled in the Emission-type technique of "En." Just like Killua in the original story, who, due to being a Transmuter, once admitted that he wasn't very skilled at using "En." This shows just how vast Greed' aura reserves are!

He managed to push the use of "En," which he should have been weak at, to such an extreme level.

"Hehehe, so, will it be you or me?" Gluttony glanced at Greed, who looked as calm as ever, showing no signs of exhaustion, and spoke in an extremely low voice.

It felt like the growl of a wild beast.

"I'll do it. If it were you, you might devour everything in just a couple of bites!" Greed waved his hand, speaking with a hint of helplessness. At the same time, he unleashed his aura in an explosive surge, and a torrent of yellow aura poured out!

In an instant, Akira felt as if a yellow river had materialized before his eyes.

Yet, all of this was Greed aura! His aura was so abundant that it seemed inexhaustible, like an endless flowing river.

With such a massive amount of aura, is strength all he has?

Akira focused his gaze and indeed noticed a clue. Greed aura, while terrifying in appearance, was actually incredibly unstable. Like a rootless weed!

This was Greed aura, but at the same time, it wasn't. It wasn't something he had cultivated through years of rigorous training. Instead, Greed had used his "unorthodox" Nen ability to forcibly take it from others, transforming it into his own aura.

This resulted in Greed having poor control over his aura. Advanced techniques like "Ryu" were likely difficult for him to master. Despite this, Greed, with his nearly inexhaustible aura, could still firmly maintain A-level strength!

Since Greed Nen ability only increased his aura capacity, he lacked in offensive capabilities. Coupled with his inability to effectively use advanced Nen techniques, Greed either avoided fights altogether or simply released his aura in overwhelming bursts.

Greed stared at the still calm Akira, his expression displeased.

'Sure, I'm not good at advanced techniques like "Ken" or "Ryu." But so what? My aura is so vast that I don't even need to master them!'

A casual strike from Greed could rival an enemy "Ken" (gathering over 50% of their aura) or even "Ko" (100% aura) in power!

The immense reserve of Nen energy allowed Greed to easily confront enemies without resorting to advanced techniques.

Advanced techniques primarily served to conserve Nen, enabling greater damage with less expenditure during combat.

Seeing Greed unleash his Nen ability, Gluttony didn't remain idle. Although he had no intention of taking action himself, he was still responsible for the task of capturing the target alive. Suppressing the urge to devour Akira entirely, Gluttony had to bring him back to savor him slowly!

This was somewhat of a tradition in The Seven Deadly Sins.

Lust and Pride possessed the ability to control others, so Gluttony would sometimes hand over the target to them. Once they had the target under control, Gluttony could occasionally "taste" the target.

Devouring the target all at once would mean losing the opportunity to obtain their Nen ability. Thus, Gluttony would visit Lust periodically to take a small bite.

Until when? Until he acquired the Nen ability!

His hands, no longer resembling those of a human, stretched out, and suddenly an iron net appeared in Gluttony grasp.

In Gluttony eyes, Akira was like a small fish, helplessly ensnared by his iron net.

Watching as Greed released a massive wave of Nen energy to crush him, Gluttony pulled out the iron net, intending to capture him. Yet, Akira showed no signs of panic or fear, and even the nearby Blissey remained motionless.

To onlookers, it seemed as though the man and the creature had given up struggling, overwhelmed by the sheer disparity in power.

At least, that's how it appeared to the Earthworm of Shadow Beast. The aura emanating from Greed and Gluttony made him tremble uncontrollably—their strength had reached an incredibly high level!

In fact, they were among the strongest Nen users he had ever encountered!

"Have they been scared stiff? How pitiful, but this is reality. Those without strength can only be at the mercy of others!" Greed glanced at Akira, whose face was as expressionless as a statue, and spoke with a hint of pity.

"You're right. It's truly pitiful to lack strength."

"Right before me are two pitiful individuals."

Akira calm demeanor shifted as the corners of his mouth curled into a playful smile.

Greed was about to say something more when his pupils suddenly dilated. His body trembled uncontrollably, and beads of cold sweat dripped from his forehead onto his suit. Gluttony beside him was in a similar state, if not worse!

After absorbing the abilities of various beasts and magical creatures, Gluttony sense of danger was far sharper than Greed. Thus, his terror was even more intense. The iron net in his hand clattered to the ground with a crisp sound. His mind was consumed by a single thought.

'RUN!'

Nearby, Earthworm in the soil seemed to sense an overwhelming terror. His teeth chattered incessantly, and his body was completely rigid.

If the auras of Greed and Gluttony had merely made him tremble, then these two new presences... rendered him utterly immobile!

Within Akira line of sight, two figures with overwhelmingly terrifying auras stood behind Greed and Gluttony.

.....

"Huh?"

"What's this?!"

Sitting on a small stool, Maha, who had been intently watching an animated show, let out a puzzled sound. He abruptly turned his head toward Akira direction.

"Such Nen beasts... and there's more than one?!!" Maha mouth hung open, revealing his sparse teeth, unable to close for a long time. He looked just like a senile old man.

Although he had previously suspected that Akira might still have hidden Nen beasts yet to be revealed, when it actually came to this moment, Maha found it hard to accept...

....

Akira had no idea that by dealing with two small flies, he had startled an old man. Now, he was admiring the gorgeous appearance of his new companion.

The Pokémon was entirely orange, a warm color that was pleasing to the eye. It had two long antennae on its head and a pair of wings on its back. Its round, bulging belly added a touch of cuteness.

This was the newly bred Pokémon from the Zoldyck family territory.

Known by the nickname "Fatty," this pseudo-legendary Pokémon was none other than Dragonite!

Dragonite

Ability: Inner Focus

Type: Dragon, Flying

Strength: S-

Moves: Dragon Claw, Outrage, Dragon Dance, Extreme Speed...

Just like Tyranitar, after being enhanced by the restriction and vows, Dragonite had directly ascended to the S- rank. Akira could roughly guess some patterns.

If he wasn't mistaken, all pseudo-legendary Pokémon, when enhanced by restriction and vows, would mostly reach the S- rank. As for the higher SS rank, perhaps only true legendary Pokémon could achieve that.

So far, the Pokémon Akira possessed were: S rank Tyranitar! S- rank Dragonite! A+ Blissey, A- rank Gardevoir, Gengar, and Arcanine.

Two S rank, four A rank!

If this level of power were made public, anyone would be shocked!

If obtaining Tyranitar had positioned Akira in the world top tier of strength, then now unless the strongest individuals like Netero, Maha, and other S-rank powerhouses teamed up to hunt him down, he could be considered invincible.

At this point, Akira could confidently say that he was truly invincible!
