I transmigrated and got a husband and a son!-Chapter 1213: Clutch II
Chapter 1213: Clutch II
With this development of the situation, the battle found its newfound purpose: to rescue Hera or to stop her from getting help. Hence, the fighting rose to another leap of intensity. Because of this, no one had noticed the flying butterflies circling the collapsing mansion.
"She’s still on the move — oh, thank God!" Joker heaved a sigh as he stared at the thermal sensors on the little screen on his lap. "But 50 percent of the palace already collapsed. All main exits were closed off — shit!"
Joker ground his teeth angrily, getting frustrated as he could see that Hera’s current route was another dead end. "There’s still one... two... no, just one. The other one already collapsed and the bombs there might detonate any minute now."
"Are you connected to Tiger?" coming from his earpiece was Dominic’s voice. "If so, give him the coordinates as well. We are about to reach the mansion. Tell me where she’s currently at."
"Hang on." Joker calmed himself down and pulled up Hera’s exact coordinates.
This would be easier if Hera didn’t disconnect as it was easier to get her out of there than send people into a collapsing mansion. However, Hera was in a blind. On top of the collapsing walls and roofs, there was fire spreading in the mansion.
It was already a miracle that she was still on her feet.
"She’s there!" Joker exclaimed, giving Dominic Hera’s exact coordinates. "I’m sending more drones..."
As Joker continued to speak his mind, Dominic focused on the matters at hand.
Dominic rose to his seat and manually pulled the motorbike up, jumping over the surface of the mansion. Drifting around, he quickly regained balance and sped closer to the mansion.
At the same time, Tiger came up behind him in the same aggressive manner. He also got Hera’s coordinates without any need for estimation because Joker would update her location every five seconds.
"Dom!" he called, hot on Dominic’s tail. "I’ll go on this side!"
Dominic didn’t respond, but he heard the man.
"Joker," he called under his breath. "Is there a blockage on that door?!"
"No, but —"
Before Joker could finish his sentence, he heard the loud rotor sound from the other end before hearing a loud crash. He paused for a moment, gazing at the thermal monitor in shock.
"Dom, that is!!" Joker winced as a sharp static sound pierced through his eardrums. He almost threw the earpiece on instinct.
"Shit!" he cursed when he recovered, gazing at the monitor, and catching Dominic crawling under a collapsed wall. "I lost him."
Putting back his earpiece, Joker yelled, "Tiger, I lost Dominic! He crashed into the —"
Again, Joker’s ear was assaulted by this loud noise because Tiger jumped up the window, leaving his motorbike without a rider. The static almost made Joker’s ears bleed, but thankfully, he didn’t lose Tiger as well. freёweɓnovel.com
"I’m in."

Standing in what looks like a kitchen, Tiger put his earpiece back on and said, "I’m in. Where are they?"
"Ahem!" Joker recomposed himself, checking Dominic and Hera’s location.
"Got it."
Just as Tiger spoke, another loud explosion was heard inside the manor. It wasn’t close to any of the three, but they still felt how the ground shook. When Tiger recovered, he caught the wall on his side, swaying.
Without a word, he held his breath and jumped away, sprinting deeper into the mansion to rescue Hera.

BOOM!
Dominic intuitively covered his nose with his arm, trying to see through the smoke around. He barely got inside, but the smoke he inhaled almost poisoned him to death. Yet, his wife had been inside this place since the first explosion happened.
"Hera!" Holding his breath, Dominic shouted and started going in. "Hera!"
His voice somehow echoed along with the walls falling and rubbles tumbling down. He breathed in as little as possible, keeping his head cool to keep his calculations. Since he disconnected with Joker, Dominic could only estimate and calculate Hera’s whereabouts.
But as Dominic swiftly maneuvered himself in, he started feeling dizzy and his head was heavy. He took another last little breath and held it as long as he could. Squinting his eyes, he moved some fallen furnitures on the way.
"Hera!"
Dominic coughed, waving his hand in front of him as another wave of dust ascended to his nostrils. He didn’t stop, though, dragging his feet and calling her name to let her know of his presence.
"Hera!"
Another bomb detonated, and by the sound of it, it was closer. The bombs sounded like they were crawling around the mansion and, considering more than half of the mansion had collapsed, it would soon reach this area.
"Her —"
*Cough*
Dominic coughed and intuitively covered his nose with his arm.
*cough*
Again, a faint cough was heard, but this time, it didn’t come from him. Dominic’s eyes lit up, looking around, trying to find the source of the cough. When he heard it again, his eyes fell on the already collapsed wall against the other wall, creating a small space underneath it.
A hand was caught crawling underneath it while the cough continued.
"Hera!" Dominic jumped from his spot, finding his lost vitality. He slid to his knees, peeking down at the small space underneath the concrete. His tempting sigh of relief halted as soon as he saw that half of her face was covered with blood.
Hera peeked from one of her eyes, her vision was doubling. It took a moment for the person’s face to overlap with each other, giving her the very face she wanted to see at the moment.
"Heh..." she snickered weakly, almost as if she was sighing. "I’m saved."
Just before Dominic found her, Hera was fighting herself to keep herself awake. She knew she couldn’t just fall unconscious, afraid she wouldn’t wake up. But as soon as she saw him, everything else gave in, as if she knew she was already saved.
"Hera!" Dominic caught her head on instinct, his heart thudding at her current condition. But despite that, he pulled her out of the narrow space and hoped she wasn’t actually stuck in there. Fortunately, it seemed Hera deliberately hid underneath it for safety.
"We’re gonna get out of here," he breathed out, taking off his shirt. It was damped with his sweats, but he still wrapped it around her head. She inhaled a lot of smoke already and he could only do this much to lessen what she would inhale on their way out.
Unfazed by his missing top, Dominic carried her in his arms and ran to the only exit there was. But alas, when they were closer to the exit, Dominic saw the ceiling before it collapsed.
He stopped, horrified.
’This...!’ He gazed down at Hera and clenched his teeth, turning back as the collapse trailed behind them. Dominic held her close to his body, disregarding his safety as he tried to find another way to leave this hell.
However, just as he thought of another route, another bomb erupted from a distance. The walls that were right beside Dominic shook, stopping him in his tracks. Turning his head, all he saw was the wall falling on them. He hugged Hera protectively, turning his back on it in a futile attempt to protect her from it.
