Chapter 1383 - Journey to the Diamond Domain

Hearing Yuga's words, Ash asked excitedly, "Really? Yuga, do you know where Xerneas went?"

"No, I don't," Yuga replied, shaking his head.

"Huh? But I heard from Diancie that only Xerneas knows how to use Fairy Aura. If we can't find Xerneas, how can we learn it?" Ash asked cluelessly.

Diancie also looked equally puzzled.

Yuga chuckled and said, "Didn't I tell you before that I met Xerneas?" As he spoke, he took out Florges's Poké Ball and released her.

"Florges, show Diancie the Fairy Aura."

During the days they had been sailing on the ghost ship, Florges had been diligently working on comprehending the Fairy Aura that Xerneas had taught her. She had made some progress—not enough to wield it freely, but enough to demonstrate.

Florges stepped forward, gently holding one of Diancie's hands. Immediately, a faint pink glow began to radiate from Florges, spreading along her arm and enveloping Diancie as well.

Bathed in the pink glow, Diancie felt warm all over. The Fairy-type energy within her rejoiced, and her perception of the world grew much clearer.

She even had the illusion of having become incredibly powerful, like she could take on ten opponents at once.

Of course, that was merely an illusion. Florges had experienced the same sensation when she first grasped Fairy Aura. The reason behind it was simple—Fairy Aura significantly amplifies the strength of Fairy-type Pokémon.

Although Diancie had never witnessed Fairy Aura before, she was certain that this was the real thing. She didn't quite understand how an ordinary Florges could learn this ability, but that didn't matter. What mattered was that now she could learn Fairy Aura without having to tirelessly search for Xerneas. The Diamond Domain was saved.

After the demonstration, Florges quickly withdrew her aura. The moment the pink light faded from Diancie's body, she felt a sense of loss.

"Fairy Aura is amazing!" Diancie murmured. No wonder Dace had said that once she mastered Fairy Aura, she would be able to create the Sacred Diamond. Now she firmly believed it.

"Please, teach me Fairy Aura."

As the princess of the Diamond Domain, Diancie was very polite. She bowed deeply to Yuga and Florges, earnestly making her request.

"Of course, we'd be happy to teach you."

Yuga didn't refuse. He knew how important learning Fairy Aura was for Diancie, and he didn't want to see the Diamond Domain disappear.

"That's great! Diancie!"

Before Diancie could even express her joy, Ash jumped up excitedly.

"Ash, thank you, too."

Diancie looked at Ash with gratitude. If it hadn't been for his protection, she would've been captured by villains long ago, and she wouldn't have met Yuga.

"Heh, it's nothing. We're friends, after all," Ash replied bashfully.

Seeing Ash's embarrassed expression, Clemont and Bonnie couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"Alright, Fairy Aura isn't something you can learn immediately. Let's deal with these two first!" Yuga said, pointing—

Yuga pointed at Merilyn and Riot, who were hanging in the air, suspended by Octillery.

Fortunately, the clock tower was located in a relatively secluded area with few visitors, or they would have attracted quite the crowd by now.

After recalling Octillery and Florges back into their Poké Balls, Yuga released Absol and threw the unconscious Merilyn and Riot onto Absol's back.

"Ash, you and Diancie wait here for me. I'll take these two to the police station and be right back."

Given Diancie's special status, it was not suitable for her to openly appear in town again. Who knew what kind of criminals might be drawn to her presence?

"Okay, we got it."

In fact, to prevent Diancie from being targeted again, Ash and his friends had been staying in the clock tower these past two days without even visiting the town's Pokémon Center.

After Yuga left with Merilyn and Riot, Jessie, who had been hiding at a distance, muttered, "This is great! That woman's finally been dealt with. If it weren't for her and that dumb-looking guy getting in the way, Diancie would've been ours long ago."

Mentioning Merilyn made Jessie grit her teeth in frustration. In their attempts to capture Diancie, they had clashed with her numerous times, and Jessie had been on the losing end every single time.

"Huh? That's what you're focusing on?" James responded with a helpless expression.

"Exactly, nya," Meowth chimed in, agreeing wholeheartedly.

"Then what else should I focus on?" Jessie looked blankly at James and Meowth.

"Didn't you see that Gym Leader Shimizu? He's even more troublesome! With him around, how are we supposed to snatch Diancie?"

"Oh, right... I guess I got too carried away," Jessie admitted belatedly, recalling Yuga's overwhelming strength. "So, what should we do?"

"We should continue following them in secret and act when the opportunity arises," James suggested.

"That's right, nya," Meowth echoed.

"Well... okay, we'll go with your plan this time," Jessie agreed for once, surprisingly compliant.

Meanwhile, in a forest on the outskirts of the town, an aircraft was parked. Inside, Millis was having a conversation with her father, Argus.

"Who was that guy who appeared out of nowhere?"

Argus slammed the table in frustration, his face twisted with anger. The earlier Hydro Pump still haunted him. If they hadn't fled quickly enough, they might've ended up like Merilyn and Riot.

Millis, however, remained calm. She replied, "Someone that strong can't be an unknown. I'll look into it."

She then pulled up footage of Yuga captured by the aircraft's surveillance camera and quickly searched online. In no time, Yuga's general information appeared.

After reviewing the details, Millis's expression darkened. "No wonder he's so strong... turns out he's the Gym Leader of Verdanturf Town in the Hoenn region—a Champion level Trainer."

Although Yuga's actual strength had long surpassed the Champion level, his official rank remained at that designation.

Argus snatched the data from Millis's hands and skimmed through it. After reading just a bit, he muttered to himself, "No wonder."

"Dad, what about Diancie? Should we still keep an eye on her?" Millis asked.

After a long silence, Argus clenched his jaw and declared, "Of course, we'll keep watching! Why wouldn't we? I refuse to give up!" Having been in the underworld for so many years, he had never backed down from a challenge.

Diancie wasn't just any Pokémon; she represented immense wealth. Giving up on her was something Argus simply couldn't accept.

"Got it," Millis nodded and turned to leave, preparing to make arrangements. Despite all their precautions, they had still been discovered, and she needed to find out why.

"Hey!" Argus suddenly called out to his daughter again. "Don't rush into action. Just tail them quietly for now." Despite his bold words, he was clearly still somewhat shaken.

Millis understood her father's concerns. Without saying a word, she simply nodded and left.

Meanwhile, Yuga efficiently delivered Merilyn and Riot to the police station and then headed to the Pokémon Center.

He planned to transfer Octillery, Helioptile, and Heliolisk back to YoYo Day Care and asked Duo Duo to take care of them.

Since he was transferring a large number of Pokémon, it took quite a bit of time, causing the Trainers waiting in line behind him to grumble with impatience.

After finishing the transfers, Yuga made a personal call home to let them know he was safe. After all, he had been out in the wild for quite some time without any contact. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

Fortunately, everything at home was normal. At the store, there were Suzuki Koen and Aunt Hisako; at the gym, there was Beidou; and at the Ecopark, there was Duo Duo, so Yuga didn't need to worry much.

After returning to the clock tower, Yuga asked Diancie, "Now that we don't need to search for Xerneas, what are your plans next?"

Diancie hesitated for a moment before answering, "I want to go home."

Having been out for so many days, Diancie had truly realized how dangerous the outside world was, filled with bad people trying to capture it.

"Then we'll send you home! You can also learn about Fairy Aura along the way," Ash suggested eagerly, looking expectantly at Yuga, hoping he would agree. He was very interested in the Diamond Domain and eager to see it for himself.

"Really? Is that okay?" Diancie also looked at Yuga with wide, hopeful eyes.

Yuga actually wanted to see the Diamond Domain too, so he pretended to reluctantly agree, "Alright then."

"Yay, yay! We're going to the Diamond Domain!" Bonnie was the first to jump up in excitement.

"No time to waste, let's set off!" Serena was equally thrilled. To her, the Diamond Domain was an unknown, mysterious land, full of romantic allure.

"Right now?" Ash was stunned. "Are we going on foot?"

Hearing this, Yuga replied, "You don't need to worry about that. Follow me." With that, he led the group outside the clock tower.

Once they were outside, a clattering sound of metal chains echoed through the air. Suddenly, thick metal chains dropped from the sky, wrapped around everyone's waists, and lifted them into the air.

"Ahhh~!"

"Ahhhh~!"

Serena's terrified screams mixed with Bonnie's excited shouts were left echoing in the air.

By the time everyone regained their composure, they found themselves aboard a ghost ship.

"Where are we?" Serena asked, clutching her chest in fear.

"I know! This is Yuga's ghost ship!" Ash exclaimed excitedly as he got up. He had heard about Yuga owning a ghost ship.

With Ash's reminder, Serena and Clemont recalled that Shauna had mentioned meeting Yuga on a ghost ship before.

"Ghost ship?" Bonnie quickly scrambled up and, with Dedenne in her arms, ran around the deck with curiosity, shouting excitedly, "This is so fun!"

"That's right, this is my ghost ship!" Yuga said with a smile, introducing it to everyone. "The one who pulled you up just now was the crew member, Dhelmise."

As Yuga finished speaking, the sound of chains echoed again—Dhelmise was greeting everyone.

"Amazing!!! I've never seen this Pokémon before!" Bonnie hugged Dedenne tightly, jumping up and down with excitement.

"Bonnie, calm down!" Clemont was genuinely worried she might stomp so hard that she'd break through the deck.

Of course, that was impossible. After the ghost ship came into Yuga's possession, it had been completely remodeled with high-grade materials. Not to mention Bonnie, even a Machamp wouldn't necessarily be able to smash through the deck.

"Alright then, let's set sail!" With Yuga's command, the Ghost-type Pokémon on board began their duties, and the ghost ship swiftly sailed across the sky above the town.

Watching the ghost ship depart, Jessie anxiously said to James, "What should we do? They're leaving!"

James chuckled, "Don't worry, Meowth and I are prepared." As he spoke, he pointed behind him, and sure enough, Meowth had already set up a hot air balloon, waiting there without anyone noticing.

"What are you standing around for? Hurry up and get in, meow!" Meowth urged impatiently.

At the same time, a cloaked airship was silently trailing behind the ghost ship from the shadows.

After the ghost ship set sail, Florges began teaching Diancie how to harness the Fairy Aura. However, unlike Xerneas, Florges didn't have the ability to instantly transfer knowledge to the learner, so she could only teach step by step, gradually.

In fact, Florges herself didn't fully comprehend this ability yet. After all, she had only recently learned it, so while teaching Diancie, she was also deepening her own understanding.

While Diancie was studying the Fairy Aura, Ash and his friends eagerly explored the ghost ship, while Yuga discreetly glanced toward the back of the ship.

He knew someone was following them—and not just one group.

One of them was the Team Rocket trio. Their concealment was far from clever, so it wasn't hard for Yuga to notice them, nor did he pay them much mind.

The other was discovered by the Ghost-type Pokémon on board. Although the aircraft was cloaked, it could only deceive human eyesight, not the special senses of Ghost-type Pokémon.

Yuga was well aware of this group's identity.

After flying through the sky for a while, the ghost ship began descending onto a river to continue its journey via water.

Although the ghost ship could fly, it relied on the psychic power of Ghost-type Pokémon. Prolonged flight would be too exhausting for them, so traveling by water was much more manageable.

In the blink of an eye, two days passed.

During these two days, Florges dedicated herself to teaching Diancie the Fairy Aura. However, while Florges became increasingly adept at using the Fairy Aura, Diancie couldn't grasp it no matter how hard she tried.

Yuga quickly discovered the reason—Diancie was too weak.

Diancie hadn't existed for long. Although classified as a Mythical Pokémon, none of her abilities had reached the standard expected of one. She not only lacked proficiency in using her Fairy-type abilities but also had a superficial understanding of them, and her Legendary Aura was insufficient.

To build a towering skyscraper, a solid foundation is essential.

The reason Florges was able to comprehend the Fairy Aura so quickly was due to the solid foundation built through years of rigorous training.

Diancie, on the other hand, was far behind in this regard. Since her birth, she had been living under various layers of protection. Her daily life consisted of carefree play without any need for effort, let alone rigorous training.

Left with no other choice, Yuga had to start laying the foundation for her.

Diancie was a peace-loving Pokémon, unwilling to engage in battles—a trait common to most Mythical Pokémon. As a result, she was always hesitant and awkward when battling against Yuga's other Pokémon.

However, battles are often the fastest way to improve a Pokémon's abilities.

With the crisis in the Diamond Domain looming, there wasn't much time left for Diancie. Therefore, Yuga had no choice but to subject her to intense, grueling training.

Fortunately, Diancie understood the severity of the situation. Although the training was tough, she gritted her teeth and managed to complete every task Yuga assigned.
