Immortal Supreme: Sovereign of the Grand Dao-Chapter 234: Conversation: Cora’s Recovery
Chapter 234: Conversation: Cora's Recovery
In the serene small world within the strokes of the Serene Palace Painting, Arthur and Philia found themselves amidst the atop a small mountain in the forest.
Blossoms danced with the wind, casting a gentle fragrance in the air as the atmosphere mirrored the peaceful exterior of the painted palace.
"This place is very peaceful, if only it can be like this for all of my days," Philia sighed as she gazed ahead with some tiredness hidden in her eyes.
Arthur sensed that and glanced at her and then he said, "Philia, in this realm, let's speak openly now. I can tell clearly that there's more to your story than you've shared."
Philia hesitated, her eyes reflecting a mix of emotions, she sighed again while thinking that she knew that she couldn't hold some things black, especially not after Arthur will reveal a secret like being in possession of an inner world.
*Sigh*
"I've always been cautious about revealing too much, especially considering our circumstances."
Arthur nodded, "I understand, but trust is a two-way street. The more I know about you and your brother, the stronger our alliance."
Philia sighed, "Alright. My brother, Touki, and I were born in a small village in one of the southern continent Kingdoms."
Arthur nodded as he had already guessed this bit of information. All kingdomsbof the Southern Continent are like states under the rulership of the Hartfield Empire.
Philia continued, "Our parents are a mystery; we were raised by our uncle. Four years ago, he faced an unknown enemy that he wouldn't tell us who, and we were forced into hiding. He left us with instructions to follow, a trail to find him while avoiding those who sought to harm us because of our parents."
Arthur's gaze narrowed, "I see. Is it possible that the pursuers you were hiding from have something to do with this enemy?"
Philia shook her head, "Those were just the results of my encounter with an arrogant young mistress of one of the noble families of the Argon Kingdom."
"Argon Kingdom?"
"Yes, that was where we was before we came here. But even then, their pursuits never ceased."
"What kind of conflict will make them chase you so much? You didn't kill her did you?"
"No, of course not, but... Touki did cripple her in a fit of anger after seeing me get bullied."
"Ah, I see." Arthur nods but did not ask about Touki's strangeness.
Philia glanced at him while expecting his question about this but he never said anything.
Philia nodded, a mixture of gratitude and sadness in her eyes. "It's been a challenging journey, and we've had to be cautious about revealing our identities. But I'm grateful we could get your trust."
"My trust? Hmm, I can't say you my trust just yet though," Arthur said.
"I understand," Philia calmly nodded, "Trust should be earned but I would like to say you have earned a bit of mine."
Arthur smiled, "Oh really? Is it because I'm a good guy?"
"Yeah right," Philia rolled her eyes and chuckled.
"Hey what does that look of yours mean? Aren't I a good guy?"
"Yes, you are a good person."
"Although I can tell you are not telling the whole truth, I'll take that for now."
They chated like this a bit more and Arthur got a more overall understanding of what kind of person Philia was, including her brother.
Arthur also confirmed with his Empath ability that she never once lied and the only thing she wasn't willing to talk about was the uniqueness of Touki.

Cora and Arthur strolled around the palace as they have a bit of casual talk.
"So you have recovered up to the Late-Stage Martial Saint Realm?" Arthur was surprised.
"Yes, it was mostly thanks to you. Those resources you've brought allowed me to concoct certain pills I never expected to refine."
"You are someone blessed by the heavens," Cora sighed in slight envy.
"Someone blessed by the heavens? I am no such person." Arthur gave a glance and looked ahead.
Cora sensed the slight change in his tone, "Um, never mind my comment anyway, I've made great progress in what you asked of me."
Arthur's heart shifted. "Are the pills ready?"
Cora, nodded. "Yes, Arthur. The pills are prepared, each crafted with precision as expected of me," she smiled.
"That's really great. But now that your cultivation has improved what level of pills can you make now?"
"I can refine High-Grade Tenth Tier Pills."
"This can improve the cultivations of Late Stage Nascent Soul Realm cultivators?"
"Yes. Any pill at that level can be refined."
Arthur nodded in satisfaction after which decided to enter the cultivation time chamber.
"Good. I'll be in closed door cultivation."
"Arthur please wait," Cora called out as Arthur was about to move out.
*Step!*
"Hm?" Arthur turned and he senses that Cora was a bit restless.
"I wanted to ask you about your promise from before."
Arthur understood, "About your sister?"
"Yes, I have been feeling a sense of urgency lately, she might have encountered some mishaps."
Cora was a bit anxious.
Arthur understood why that was as he is aware that when cultivators get to a certain level, some things they sense actually come to pass because the higher your cultivation realm, the closer you are in tuned with the Dao and subsequently the secrets of the heavens.
"I remember my promise. I'll keep it," Arthur reassured her with a smile.
"Thank you Arthur," Cora let out a sigh.
"Alright stop it with your pitiful appearance as anyone who sees us now will think you're a bullied wife."
"What?!"
*Swoosh!* Arthur swiftly dissapeared.
"Stinky brat, teasing me at this time. Tch!"
______
As Arthur entered the cultivation time chamber, the surroundings changed, and he found himself in the familiar space where time flowed differently.
The air vibrated with an intensity, an energy conducive to profound cultivation.
Arthur took a deep breath and exhaled with satisfaction.
"The concentration of spiritual essence energy here has also greatly increased. This is good."
