Chapter 240: The Previous Timeline Was Erased?

After listening to Eve's narration, Arthur nodded in understanding. But then he noticed that her mood had been down since she started speaking about her origins.

Eve went silent when she stopped talking and just stared ahead.

"Hey," Arthur called out.

"You know, this story sounds a bit familiar," Arthur smiled.

Eve looked with mild confusion, "How is it? I know I never said anything like this before."

"But I have," said Arthur.

"What do you mean?" Eve was getting more confused.

"You really don't remember?"

Eve shook her head, "Just say it directly, then."

Arthur sighed and shook his head, "After all these years you don't remember the stories I told you?"

Eve furrowed her brows in thought and then her eyes shined as she seemed to recall something.

"You mean those stories you used to speak about? The one where you make yourself the protagonist and go on a journey of cultivation from mortal to immortal?"

Arthur laughed, "Exactly!"

Arthur had indeed told her some cultivation stories of the novels he read back on earth.

But at some point, he stopped and felt that knowing things like that would change any cultivator's worldview and it can give an advantage and it can also be dangerous in the wrong hands.

Just like him, somehow, with almost everything that has happened in his life, his knowledge of cultivation novels will scream, 'I've seen this plot before!'

That's almost like having precognition in a way if you think about it. So Arthur decided to keep it to himself.

Aside from Eve, he had done the same with Anastasia and some fat kid who was a playmate of his that got lost in the forest and was probably dead.

Or not. But who knows?

Anyway, Arthur wanted to light up Eve's mood. And by the look of things...

Eve chuckled, "So I'm a heroine now huh?"

"I see you get it."

"Yeah, but how come I don't have a divine treasure, or whatsytye other one? Um...yeah an old grandpa expert?"

Arthur furrowed his brows, "I actually hope you don't get an old grandpa expert."

"Huh, why?"

"Nothing, anyway I am sure you will have something and besides you already have your cheat," Arthur grinned.

Eve looked intrigued and gave a beautiful smile, "Oh really. Okay, tell me."

"Guess."

"Hmm, is it my bloodline?"

"Nope. Although by what you described, your bloodline can indeed be considered that but that isn't your real cheat."

"Then I can't think of anything," Eve shook her head.

Arthur sighed as though he was a little disappointed.

"It's me."

"What?"

"I'm the cheat of course! Knowing me is a cheat in itself. When others are close to the protagonist they experienced a spike in their fortune's too and moreover..." Arthur held Eve by the waist and drew her close.

"...we are so close."

"Wha..." Eve didn't know how to respond as she blushed shyly but then strangely she felt at peace and without thinking she wrapped her arms around Arthur and placed her head on his chest.

*Badum!*

'Only mother made me feel this safe. But this is different, I...'

Arthur also looked thoughtful as he felt a string of emotions when Eve hugged him back.

Finally, he said, "Don't worry. You have me with you. Isn't it just some Empire? I'll come to find you when it's time okay?"

"Hmm," Eve nodded.

For some reason, it was as though her logic was turned off temporarily and what should have been an obvious impossible boasting to her looked like something Arthur could both say and do.

In order words she disregarded any doubts or rather.

It never crossed her mind as she lay in that embrace.

Eve just remained there and Arthur had no plans of pushing her away.

While he was communicating with Aixen.

'Do you have any way I can help her?'

'Yes, Master,' Aixen replied and shockingly revealed that he knew every detail about her bloodline.

Arthur was a bit surprised and asked, 'Even the illustrious Jade Emperor has no idea about it but you do. It seems even in all of this universe, it has never appeared?'

"It has appeared before, Master, but..."

'But what?'

"I don't know how I should say this but her Physique isn't supposed to appear more than once in all of history."

'And you have seen it before?' Arthur frowned.

"I have, Master, and you have too. One of your companions in the past was the owner of this Divine Physique."

'What?' Arthur stood in shock.

"It is true, Master. Physiques like hers are called Monogenes Divine Physique. The universe will never birth more than one from the beginning of time...until the end of time."

Arthur seems to recall something in his scattered memories as his gaze narrows, "Which means..."

"Yes, Master. I feel the same way too," Aixen sighed.

"The previous timeline has been brought to an end and a new one has begun."

"Yes, Master. But there is a problem."

"What is?"

"According to my calculations, the end of time should not arrive until another 72 Eons as at the time that you were forced to reincarnate by the Grand Heavenly Dao."

"So the Grand Dao rewrote the timeline?"

"You could put it like that," Aixen nodded.

"But that's not important now. The real puzzle is why someone with the Nine Divine Soul Physique and the Nine-Nine Immortal Dao Bloodline will appear by your side."

Arthur's brows furrowed in thought.

Meanwhile, Lei Tian had gotten impatient.

"It's been two hours already! What does this mortal take us for?!" One of Lei Tian's men spoke.

Just as he said this the sound of thunder echoed in the sky as clouds began to gather.

"Hmm, this world is finally rejecting our presence. It seems I can't wait any longer," Lei Tian said and stretched his palm forward.

As he did this all the essence energy in the continent seemed to freeze and many wondered what was going on.

Back at the Hartfield Royal Palace, Anastasia looked around her in astonishment.

"This power... shouldn't appear in a place like this."
