Chapter 80: Tea with a princess conclusion

It took a while to calm Mrs. Xu down and she was taken backstage for a moment to clean up. Camera of course followed her, recording the misery she was enduring. Mrs. Xu was aware that cameras were on her and she made more accusations, stating that she was going to sue the National Space Administration, police, royal family and International space station.

On stage after a commercial break, Rize continued making more revelations into Tang Yue and Caleb Xu’s marriage, aided by Mr. Xu who was much calmer and more articulate than his wife. There was no laughter or drama during his narration of events but he drew a clear picture of the relationship lining out how Tang Yue had taken advantage of their son’s kindness and genius in other ways.

Just as Mo Liang had married Mei Mei for a reason, Tang Yue had also married Caleb Xu with her own personal agenda. He had been the brains behind most of her professional success. He provided proof by showing them some of the papers on medical research that Caleb Xu had done for Tang Yue.

"Even the smart pill reminder patch was Caleb’s invention." Mr. Xu said.

Around the world, everyone was familiar with the small patch with sensors which doctors stick on the skin of a patient under treatments. It was synced to smart phones and watches, reminding patients to take medication in time.

It was one of those small inventions that did not get a wow from people and yet it made life easy even though it did not revolutionize the world.

"She convinced him to sell the patent for only sixty million." Mr. Xu sighed sadly. "I never agreed with it because I thought it could be worth so much more. Only recently have I come to learn that the patent was sold to Mo Liang through a third party.

In turn, he sold it to Ling pharmaceuticals for two hundred sixty million yuan. They must have worked together to defraud my son."

A picture of the smart pill reminder patch was showed on the screen.

"Everyone is familiar with this small device, I believe." Rize said. "I think a few of us are wearing one today." She tugged back the arm of her coat and exposed the patch on her wrist.

In the audience, some people did the same and at home. None of them had ever known that a man named Caleb Xu was the brain behind the invention.

"Million of this patch are sold every year, Ling pharmaceuticals makes at least six billion yuan in sales every year from this smart pill reminder patch alone. There are other companies which provide a similar patch as well. The global market size in dollars for this patch is said to be eighteen billion dollars." Rize pointed to the screen where the figures were being highlighted. "I can only imagine how wealthy Caleb Xu would have been today if he had not been coaxed and misled into selling his patent."

The audience sighed sadly along with Mr. Xu.

On the screen, the documents Mrs. Xu was holding appeared and upon glancing at them, the audience gasped.

One mother in the audience said to her son, "Do you see what happens when you marry the wrong woman? You lose billions."

The people closest to them turned and looked at the mother-son pair. He did not look like he had billions to lose, not even millions. Nevertheless, they understood what she meant, marrying the wrong woman had ruined Caleb Xu in more ways than one.

By the time Mei Mei and company arrived at the camp, more tea had been served to the audience and they were entering the very last moments of the show and everyone was amped up. During those last moments, big revelations would be made and everyone could not wait to find out.

Mei Mei darted into her office upon arrival and continued to watch the show. Mrs. Xu had returned to the stage and she was unveiling what was in the envelope.

"I have been told that you are suing Miss Tang Yue, is this true?" Rize asked.

"Before going to space, that wench..." Mrs. Xu covered her mouth. "Tang Yue made my son sign a legal document stating that no matter who died in space, the one that returned would use the eggs that had been harvested to have children. What we want is simple, she must fulfill her legal obligation and have Caleb’s child. If she can have a child for her adulterer, she must have one for my son as she promised. This was her idea, but she wants to go back on her word again. It is not right or fair to my dead son?"

The audience was the same as Mei Mei when they heard Mrs. Xu’s words and saw the legal agreement which Tang Yue had made her husband sign. They were flabbergasted and not sure how to respond.

Rize decided that it was time to take questions from the audience. "Well, you came for the tea and you have been served all of it. I hope that it has been to your satisfaction. Let us welcome those with questions for Mr. and Mrs. Xu."

Every hand in the live audience went up, including members of the technical crew, producers. stage managers and even the support staff and those in marketing and PR.

On all the social media accounts of tea with a princess, questions poured in for the couple, along with support and even criticism.

Mei Mei’s phone was snatched out of her hand. Her gaze met Jingzhe, Mingzhu and Lian’s disapproving one’s. It looked like the three of them had something to say.

"What?"

Jingzhe tapped the clipboard in his hands and cleared his throat. "Boss, we came to work but you are distracted. The campers want to see where they will be sleeping and drop off their luggage. We also never made food arrangements, real food not the snacks in the vending machine. In addition to that..."

"Where is the firewood for the camp fire?" Mingzhu asked.

Jingzhe cleared his throat. "That was not my next question but...."

"We have matches, aunt show us the wood. Other babies also want to start a fire." An excited Lian revealed the box matches

"The camp fire is for later on in the night." Jingzhe told them.

Both girls looked disappointed, the disappointment increased when Jingzhe took away the box of matches muttering about sticky fingers that kept touching things they should not be touching.

"Mom, can we play in the swimming pool or watch cartoons? Its Saturday, we watch sailor moon on Saturday." Mingzhu looked at her mother with hope in her eyes.

Lian’s eager eyes widened. Both girls had long forgotten that they had come to the camp as a punishment.

"I will handle sleeping arrangements, you handle food and these two little ladies will teach other babies a class on patience." She said. The word patience was said in English.

Mingzhu was puzzled, she looked at Lian and asked, "What is patience?"

Lian had a little frown on her face, she shook her head before replying, "It is an English name name."

"Wow, Lian, you know so much." Mingzhu praised.

"I know everything." Lian boasted.
