Live Streaming: Great Adventure in the Wilderness-Chapter 900 - 896 Exploring the Cave
Three cave entrances!?
Which one should I choose?
While the audience was strategizing for Bi Fang, he headed straight into the leftmost entrance.
With just three cave entrances and time on my side, there was no need to make any tough choices.
An energetic adult wants it all.
When the audience heard Bi Fang explain that he would explore each in turn and there was no need to rush, they were genuinely thrilled, and the barrage of comments grew substantially.
Perhaps the increase was also due to the viewers who had flocked to the stream after he had entered the cave.
Bi Fang's live streaming numbers weren't always above ten million; often, they hovered around five million.
This was a relatively stable figure, which might rise to around eight million during holidays.
After all, everyone has their own life to live and cannot watch a live stream all day; managing to watch for an hour or two each day was already quite good.
However, whenever there was a major event, or when exploring some strange places, and at certain key times, such as setting up camp in the evening, the platform would send out notifications.
At such times, the viewership would surge to between eight and ten million. To push it any higher depended on the content.
The torch, soaked in grease, burned persistently; having ventured into the cave for nearly ten minutes, the light showed no sign of dimming, so Bi Fang didn't add anything else and continued deeper into the left passage.
Harley's body was slightly contracted, clearly frightened, following close behind Bi Fang, quick to hide when encountering spiders and even pressing fearfully against Bi Fang's leg.
To be honest, in such a dark and mysterious environment, the occasional irregular and rhythmless touch to one's calves, even for someone as skilled and brave as Bi Fang, was enough to make anyone's nerves tense.
The left pathway was much narrower compared to the main corridor, and it sloped upwards at a slight angle, which Bi Fang, still sharp, noticed.
And...
Noticing something off with the air in the mine, Bi Fang propped the torch against the wall, opened his water bottle cap, dripped some water from the cap onto the pad of his index finger, rubbed it, and stretched out his hand towards the depths of the cave.
"A bit of coolness on my fingertips indicates a slight breeze, but not much. This passage could possibly lead to another exit."
After tightening the water bottle cap, Bi Fang picked up the torch again and continued his search in the darkness, occasionally sighting old light fixtures overhead.
The facilities and structures varied completely from one mine to another—open-pit, underground, mountainous, by mineral type...
If it had been a coal mine, the management of lighting and pathways would definitely be very strict, but this was a diamond mine and partly open-air, so it wasn't as dangerous.
The bulbs were old-fashioned, mostly shattered, leaving a scattering of broken glass on the ground that crunched loudly underfoot, so much so that one might wonder if they were deliberately broken during the evacuation.
"With light fixtures but no specialized mine cart tracks on the ground, it's likely that this diamond mine was of relatively small scale."
Bi Fang, as he moved, unconsciously lowered his voice; his breath disturbed the air, and the flames wavered.
Orange light, shadows, cobwebs in the corners, faint rustling sounds in the darkness.
The tense excitement of the adventure made the audience in front of their screens unconsciously thrilled.
Bi Fang and Harley continued to feel their way forward, sticking close to one side of the wall.
Half an hour later, as the airflow inside the cave became more noticeable and even the flames grew fiercer, the man and the leopard finally saw some faint light ahead.
[We've reached the end!]

[Is it an exit?]
[Damn, it really is an exit]
[That's insane]
Bi Fang kicked a piece of Kimberley rubble out of the cave opening, sending a few strands of grass flying.
Treading on broken stones to reach the mouth of the cave, everyone found that the opening was at an extremely steep angle, almost as if looking down on the prairie from above.
The mine cast a vast shadow over the land, with the sun at its back.
Half light, half dark.
From such a height, Bi Fang could clearly see several black rhinos huddled together at the border of light and shadow, their formidable presence clearing a large "vacuum" area around them.
Besides them, herds of antelopes and zebras were sparsely scattered along the edge, and in the moist mud pits, wart hogs with protruding fangs were rolling all over, their bodies caked with a thick layer of mud.
There was even a pride of lions resting under a big tree.
Clearly, they had just had a feast today or yesterday and were not very interested in the food before them.
From the dark cave to the vast world outside, Harley squeezed past Bi Fang's legs, eagerly taking in the same panoramic view of the land.
[So pretty!]
[Screenshot, got one wallpaper!]
[Damn, this angle is too spectacular!]
[Old Fang, can you move the drone a bit farther away, then get a shot of the mountain and people just coming out of the cave, with Harley at the side, looking towards the prairie? It would be best to have both a bottom-up and top-down perspective.]
[Dang, the big shot knows how to compose, just thinking about the layout is awesome.]
[Of course, Pete the photographer is a professional and a long-time fan.]
"No problem."
Bi Fang nodded, the drone automatically turned and quickly flew out, positioning itself promptly.
The slender and soft grass rustled as it brushed against each other in the prairie wind, with rhinos, warthogs, lions, zebras... all the quintessential wildlife of the prairie meandering among it.
The prairie breeze blew from the bright side to the shadow, clearly outlining the contours of the mountain along the slope.
The angle of the mountain slope was incredibly steep, at first glance resembling a sheer cliff, most of it bare, hard rock exposed to the air, with only its base covered in lush green grass.
On the tawny mountain wall made of hard rock, a half-moon shaped mine hole had been artificially carved out, with a young man, dressed in an exploration suit, holding onto the rock wall with one hand as he emerged from the hole, gazing into the distance. At his feet stood a sleek and proud Cheetah.
Man and cheetah, they looked as if they had been through an untold adventure, filling the onlooker with wonder.
[Slurp slurp slurp]
[This is the scene of my dreams!]
[I want to have Master Fang's babies!!]
[showshowwei]
Thanks to the drone's multiple angles, who knows how many people at this moment pressed the screenshot button, preserving this scene in their photo galleries.
Relaxing at the entrance of the cave, Bi Fang took deep breaths, the fresh air filling his lungs, expelling all the dusty remnants accumulated in the mine.
After everyone had their fill of the beautiful view, Bi Fang turned around and entered the second of the three caves, only to find after some searching that the path was blocked.
That left only the mine on the far right.
Walking back along the elongated tunnel of the cave, a fist-sized stone suddenly fell, startling everyone. Fortunately, Bi Fang reacted quickly and managed to dodge in time, avoiding an accident.
As he was adding some animal fat to the torch, boosting the flickering flame in the third cave, he had not yet stepped in when a low hissing sound came from the right side of the tunnel.
