Chapter 340: Chapter 328: Tian Gang’s Thirty-Six Heavenly Acupoints and Pathway Barrier, the Prolonged Fierce Battle—Difficult Breakthrough and Nourishment
Time flowed by like water, and Chu Feng had already spent a month in the Repeat Offender Transmigration Prison.
This past month had been incredibly fulfilling for him, as he had almost depleted his remaining Attribute Points, resulting in a terrifying increase in strength!
Sitting cross-legged in the Cultivation Room he had borrowed from the prison guards, he exhaled and summoned his Attribute Panel to check his status.

A month ago, the panel had over six hundred Attribute Points, but now there were only about a hundred left.
In addition to the 78 points spent on enhancing the three attributes of "Vitality, Energy, and Spirit," and the 60 points used to integrate the Demon-Slaying and Demon-Exorcising Battle Technique, the rest of the points were all used for opening and nurturing the main acupoints!
Main acupoints refer to the 36 large acupoints in the human body, including the Dantian, which are also called the Thirty-Six Heavenly Acupoints.
...
Opening the main acupoints is simple to say but extremely difficult to do.
The method of opening and nurturing acupoints provided by Professor Lu Lin to Chu Feng couldn’t offer direct help, it was merely a guide.
Regarding the opening of the main acupoints, the method described how to use True Force and the resonance of the Dantian to locate the main acupoints within the body.
It also dealt with what state the True Force should be condensed into during the opening of the acupoints for the highest efficiency and best saving effects of True Force.
Chu Feng himself had to carry out the actual process of opening the acupoints.
To put it simply, it involved using complex techniques to erode the "door" sealing the acupoints using as little True Force as possible.
Afterward, condensing a True Force Seed within the acupoint, connecting the internal with the external Heaven and Earth, continuously sustaining life within.
As long as the True Force flowed unceasingly and the Physical Body was sturdy enough, the opening of the acupoints could be completed in a very short amount of time.
For others, the biggest issue was the consumption of True Force and the corresponding passing of years.
All because the "door" sealing the outside of the acupoints was too sturdy and very difficult to erode!
...
Outside the acupoints, the "gate" is academically known as the Pathway Barrier, which, as the name suggests, is a barrier that obstructs the advancement of martial arts.
When a person is first born, the primary acupoints within the body are not developed and are mere points close to nothingness.
As the person grows into adulthood, these primary acupoints gradually expand and mature.
The Pathway Barrier, being one with the acupoints, also becomes increasingly stable as the acupoints mature.
The impurities absorbed by the body after birth further strengthen the Pathway Barrier.
Therefore, the actual strength of the Pathway Barrier strongly correlates with the martial artist’s physical strength and living environment.
In this case, a martial artist who has just advanced to the Everlasting Realm attempting to open acupoints outside the dantian is essentially vying against their own body and the cumulative effects of their environment.
Not only does it require a vast amount of True Force to impact the martial barrier, one must also consider their physical body’s capacity for endurance, avoiding brute force due to the very high demand for controlling True Force, making the process highly inefficient.
After depleting all True Force, one can only sit in meditation to cultivate more True Force and then return to continue impacting the barrier, repeating this process day after day.
Yan Capital University has conducted research on this—
Under ideal conditions, if a martial artist were to forgo eating, drinking, sleeping, and leisure, dedicating all their energies to opening the acupoints, accounting for the time to recover True Force, it would take about three months to open the first major acupoint outside the dantian.
But humans need to eat, drink, rest, and earn money to sustain their lives, all of which consume time and energy.
Not to mention, no one dares to use up all their True Force in one go, leaving themselves completely devoid of combat capability.
One must always reserve at least one-third of True Force to deal with emergencies, like sworn enemies showing up.
In such a case, the time to open acupoints would stretch indefinitely!
It’s a prolonged agony!
However, after opening the first acupoint, it can increase the upper limit of True Force, improve the quality of True Force, and accelerate the recovery of True Force, which would reduce the time taken to open the second acupoint.
The more acupoints that have been opened, the lower the difficulty becomes in opening the remaining ones.
Theoretically, when opening the last acupoint, at most one month would suffice to break through the Pathway Barrier.
Also, in theory, without relying on treasured medicines, opening 35 acupoints would require at least five years of time.
Yet in reality, many people waste over a decade and still remain in the Everlasting Realm!
...
Next is the nurturing of the primary acupoints, which is divided into two parts.
The first part is the sublimation of the essence of True Force.
The first change in the nature of True Force comes when advancing from the Foundation Establishment Stage to the Innate Realm; it becomes purer and more solid through the refinement of the Heavenly Primordial Qi.
One of the primary functions of nurturing acupoints in the Everlasting Realm is to further sublimate the essence of True Force.
The primary acupoints contain a large amount of the Innate Qi of the Womb, which is even purer and more suitable for the human body than the innate qi found in treasured medicines.
This qi would normally dissipate slowly with the birth and growth of an infant; the fact that it can be preserved long-term is entirely due to the Pathway Barrier sealing the acupoints and locking the Innate Qi of the Womb inside.
After opening an acupoint, it is crucial to immediately saturate it with all available True Force while the True Force Seed is formed, and absorb most of the Innate Qi of the Womb to initiate a second sublimation of True Force.
The second part is the strengthening and assimilation of the acupoints.
Once the True Force Seed has formed, filling it with True Force imbued with the Innate Qi of the Womb gradually expands the space of the acupoint while changing its properties to match those of the True Force.
Only when the acupoint is fully assimilated is the nurturing process considered complete.
...
The difficulty in nurturing acupoints also relates to the quantity of True Force.
The Pathway Barrier has a characteristic: it is extremely sealing and elusive.
Unless it is completely shattered, it is very difficult to determine the extent to which it has been impacted and whether it is on the verge of opening.
This leads to many people being caught off guard when they suddenly wear through the Pathway Barrier with little True Force remaining.
However, the more True Force infused into the acupoint immediately after shattering the Pathway Barrier, the less Innate Qi of the Womb is lost, the faster the nurturing process is completed, and the higher the degree of sublimation of True Force.
After absorbing all the Heavenly Primordial Qi from the acupoints, the sublimation of True Force comes to a halt.
As for how far one can go, it depends on how much Heavenly Primordial Qi the martial artist can retain and absorb.
This causes every Everlasting Realm Warrior to become extremely cautious when opening the main acupoints.
While estimating the remaining thickness of the Pathway Barrier, they carefully scrape away at it.
This process is even more painful—
Because no one knows how long this nerve-wracking torment will last.
And whether that seemingly substantial barrier will suddenly burst due to a moment of carelessness, causing all the Innate Qi of the Womb to be lost in the blink of an eye.
