Lord Yan, The Little Ancestor Has Fallen Off The Horse Again!-Chapter 476: Let Mo Lingwei Make Tea
Chapter 476: Chapter 476: Let Mo Lingwei Make Tea
The two hesitated, but after hearing Mo Lingwei’s words their expressions changed—one responsibility they indeed could not bear—promptly stepping forward to block Yun Yue.
The two steeled themselves, facing Yun Yue’s calm and leisurely gaze, an unnamable panic arose in their hearts. "Ma’am, you can’t enter without an appointment."
Yun Yue turned her head to look at Mo Lingwei, who lifted her chin triumphantly, wearing a superior look.
Mo Lingwei was greatly pleased with herself. Outside she might not be able to do anything to Yun Yue, but this was the headquarters of the Black Alliance. She could make things difficult for an outsider and no one would dare interfere, not even if Xiao Chen came, because she was the one in the right.
Yun Yue had no intention of making it difficult for the two of them and walked over to the lobby waiting area to sit down, casting a meaningful glance at the three, "I’m not in a hurry, just go and call Wu Yi over."
The two security guards panicked once again. Could she actually know Boss Wu Yi?
"Lady Mo, what should we do? It was you who told us to stop her. If by chance she really is a VIP guest of Boss Wu Yi, we can’t handle that."
The two whispered nervously to Mo Lingwei, looking distressed.
Mo Lingwei’s attitude remained unchanged; she swept them a glance, full of disdain in her heart, and sneered, "Fine, go do whatever you were doing. I’ll inform Boss Wu Yi. Whatever happens, I’ll handle it."
Relieved by her words, the two guards smiled obsequiously, said a few flattering words, and continued to stand at the door, sneaking glances from time to time.
Mo Lingwei walked up to Yun Yue with her nose in the air, said haughtily, "You stay here; I’ll go find Boss Wu Yi."
With that, she turned and left, her eyes filled with deep mockery.
Just keep waiting here; Boss Wu Yi won’t come to see you even when it gets dark.
Mo Lingwei left the hall happily and went back to her office to work, showing no intentions of notifying Wu Yi.
Half an hour passed, the two security guards saw that Mo Lingwei had not brought Boss Wu Yi down, and Yun Yue had not left, making them unsure of what was happening.
Wu Yi, having waited in his office for over half an hour without seeing anyone, found it odd. Especially since Yun Yue hadn’t messaged him, he decided to send her a message, "Did you walk here?"
Yun Yue was occupied with her game, requiring to keep her skills sharp for the KPL tournament. Whenever she got a chance, she would play a few rounds to get back in the groove.
She finished the game and then exited to reply to Wu Yi after he had been waiting a long time, "Took a car, got stopped by your Black Alliance people downstairs."
Wu Yi suddenly stood up, meaning she had been stopped downstairs for over half an hour?!
Must have eaten the heart of a bear and the gall of a leopard!
Who dares to stop her!
Certainly not him.
He sent a quick reply and immediately hurried out of his office.
"Where is Boss Wu Yi rushing off to so hurriedly? He looks somewhat angry and somewhat scared."
Passing through the office area, everyone noticed Wu Yi, all curious.
"Wasn’t it said that a big shot was coming? Maybe Boss Wu Yi is going to meet that big shot."
Immediately, they lost interest in working, all waiting to see who this big shot was.
Mo Lingwei also grew curious. With Boss Wu Yi’s status, who could be important enough for him to personally go to receive? She had been with the Black Alliance long enough to know its strength. Even if Xiao Chen came, Boss Wu Yi would neither personally receive him, nor would he let him in.
So who exactly was this person?
Wu Yi arrived on the first floor and from afar saw Yun Yue leisurely sitting on the sofa, legs crossed, playing her game. He walked over obsequiously, "Why didn’t you call me when you arrived so I could personally come down to welcome you?"
Yun Yue hooked her lips carelessly, "Our relationship doesn’t need to be so formal, but you guys have good security here, very serious and responsible."
Yun Yue was genuinely complimenting.
However, to Wu Yi, it sounded like, "These damn security guards, stopping her at the door."
He quickly nodded, "Yes, yes, I’ll ’reward’ them later."
The security guards, seeing Boss Wu Yi himself come down to receive her, had their eyes nearly popping out. They thought she would complain, but instead, she spoke highly of them, and even more unexpectedly, Boss Wu Yi would reward them.
They were feeling incredibly smug.
They were getting promotions.
Yun Yue glanced at him and followed him away.
Wu Yi vaguely guessed her purpose for coming but did not ask.
"Do you want to check out Lin Xuanze in the human sandbag area?" Wu Yi suddenly asked.
To improve their skills, members of the Black Alliance all start as human sandbags, and though Lin Xuanze came out of the Golden Net Training Camp and might be superior in many ways, there weren’t many in the Black Alliance who could fight well, but those who could were the elite of the elite.
They were all honed through real-life combat, punch by punch. Lin Xuanze, just out of training camp and untested in real combat, couldn’t match the speed and techniques of these elites and could only serve as a human sandbag, forced to endure beating.
"No, I don’t want to overstimulate the kid." Yun Yue originally wanted to go, but considering his overly proud and vanity-driven nature, she decided against it, not wanting to provoke him.
As the elevator doors opened, everyone in the office area looked over. Nearly everyone on this floor was a high-up in the Black Alliance, but that did nothing to dampen their curiosity.
Wu Yi walked out with Yun Yue, and everyone’s eyes followed, a hint of amazement flashing through them; the woman was incredibly beautiful, even more so than top-tier celebrities.
Her casual stride was filled with an arrogant, carefree audacity, and her exquisite features were enviable with her fair skin, truly a tall and slim beauty.
Mo Lingwei’s smile stiffened in the next second as she saw Yun Yue, her expression turning hideous.
It wasn’t clear whether Yun Yue did it on purpose, but it always seemed like she carried a sneer as she passed Mo Lingwei.
"Weiwei, what’s wrong?"
Her colleague called her several times, but she didn’t hear.
"No, nothing, just felt that the woman just now was a bit too young and beautiful. Have you seen her here at Black Alliance before?" Mo Lingwei composed herself, afraid of being noticed.
"No, but you better hurry, Xiangcai just asked you to bring in five cups of tea."
"Me go in?" Mo Lingwei couldn’t believe her ears; it would be fine if Yun Yue wasn’t inside and just serving tea to the bosses.
But inside was her lifelong rival, the woman who stole her man, brewing tea for Yun Yue was out of the question!
"Yeah, stop dawdling and go on," her female colleague urged her to hurry.
Mo Lingwei: "..."
She took a deep breath, telling herself to be patient.
While making the tea, a malevolent idea crossed her mind, she sneered sinisterly and tampered with Yun Yue’s tea, adding a good deal of soy sauce to it.
To get back at her for seducing her man, it was perfect to dispel any fishy business.
She pushed the door open, and there sat Yun Yue and several of the Black Alliance leaders, chatting jovially in a way she never anticipated.
