Married For Now-Chapter 114: TWO DIFFERENT ALPHAS
Chapter 114: TWO DIFFERENT ALPHAS
TO BE FAIR, Sohee could think about having a child now without feeling guilty.
He didn’t date around before meeting Kim Heedo because he was broke, so he couldn’t even think about having his own family— much less having a baby.
This may sound harsh, but people shouldn’t have children if they can’t afford it.
Sohee grew up in poverty, so he knew what it was like to have financially unstable parents who couldn’t even afford to give him a proper lunchbox at school.
Did he sound ungrateful? Perhaps.
I’m grateful for the life they gave me, but they could have given me a better life if only they were financially stable before they had me.
Anyway, Sohee was glad that he didn’t have to worry about that for his future child.
I can give my future baby a secure life.
Plus, he was already twenty-five years old.
He was still in university, yes. But he just wanted to be a degree holder. Hence, he didn’t mind pausing his university life to have a baby.
However...
"Even if I’m already to have a baby, I don’t think you are ready, Heedo-ya," Sohee teased his husband. "A kid shouldn’t have a kid yet."
"Hyung, you’re only two years older than me— I’m not a kid," Kim Heedo insisted, sitting on the bed while holding Sohee’s hand. "Can I be honest?"
"Of course."
"I want to have a baby with you, Hyung. But not now."
"Is it because you’re still in school?"
"Not really," Kim Heedo said while shaking his head. "I just want to monopolize you for as long as I can, Hyung. Once we have a baby, I’m sure you’ll prioritize the child over me."
"Naturally."
Kim Heedo pouted. "That’s why I want to delay having a rival."
"Rival?" Sohee asked in disbelief, and then he laughed while shaking his head. "How can you say that about your own future child? Will you get jealous if our baby is a girl?"
"Why does it matter whether our future child is a boy or a girl? They’ll still be my rival since they’ll be vying for your attention, Hyung."
"You know you sound ridiculous, right?"
"Yes, I know."
"It’s cute for now, but I think I’ll be pissed if you act that way once we have a baby," Sohee said while gently patting Kim Heedo’s cheek. "From now on, learn how to manage your jealousy. I don’t want you acting that way once we become parents."
"Okay, Hyung. I’ll try," Kim Heedo said, gently grabbing Sohee’s wrist. And then he kissed Sohee’s palm without breaking eye contact. "Can I kiss you, Hyung?"
Oh.
Kim Heedo suddenly released strong pheromones— not in a bad way, but in a way that told Sohee how much his husband wanted him.
This is the scent that I love.
"I thought you’d never ask," Sohee said teasingly. "I only gave you a sex ban— not a kissing ban, you brat."
And that was how Sohee’s mouth got devoured for at least half an hour.
***
"TSK."
Lim Garam just finished washing his face when he heard Song Sihyuk clear his throat behind him.
Yes, his husband followed him in the bathroom when he said he was going to wash up.
He fed Gunwoo some porridge earlier, and his son played with his food again— creating a mess.
Hence, Lim Garam needed to use the bathroom.
He let Song Sihyuk follow him there since he needed to talk to his husband anyway.
Jung Han— Song Sihyuk’s most trusted subordinate— was playing with Gunwoo while also keeping an eye on the child.
Of course, we still can’t lower our guard.
Lim Garam turned around and faced Song Sihyuk while drying his face with a towel. "What’s wrong, Hyung?"
"It’s Kim Heedo," Song Sihyuk said while putting his phone inside the pocket of his jacket. "He said to come in thirty minutes."
Ah.
Kim Heedo probably got, uhm, intimate with Park Sohee.
Gunwoo and I were supposed to visit Sohee-ssi, but I guess that can wait.
"Hyung."
"Yeah?"
"Have you caught Go Boram?"
Lim Garam was talking about Gunwoo’s nanny who was involved with the kidnapping.
Song Sihyuk’s face darkened, and then he nodded firmly. "That bastard tried to leave the country by boat, but we caught him. I hate to say this, but the person who helped Park Sohee and our son also sent me a message. They were the ones who told me where to find the nanny who betrayed us."
Yes, it was a betrayal.
Lim Garam hugged himself, rubbing his arms. "I can’t believe we trusted that person for years."
"I’m sorry, honey," Song Sihyuk said, gently holding Lim Garam by the shoulders. "I ran a background check on that person before we hired her as Gunwoo’s nanny, but she still ended up stabbing us in the back." He sighed while shaking his head. "I should have dug deeper into her background."
"No, it’s not your fault, Hyung. I met Go Boram during the time I was hiding from you. She helped me raise Gunwoo back then."
So, when Lim Garam married Song Sihyuk and Song Sihyuk suggested they hire a nanny, he automatically thought of Go Boram. He even got mad when he found out that Song Sihyuk ran a background check on the nanny whom he already considered a friend.
He couldn’t help it, though.
Go Boram was struggling financially, but she was a good person.
At least, that’s what I thought.
Go Boram was the oldest daughter of the chief of the village where Lim Garam and Gunwoo lived before meeting Song Sihyuk again.
But Go Boram’s mother died a few years ago.
And Go Boram didn’t have a family of her own.
I can’t figure out what the enemies could have threatened Go Boram with.
"Garam-ah, what do you want me to do to that person?" Song Sihyuk asked in a serious voice. "If it was just me, I would have killed that person already. But I know that you consider her a friend. So, tell me. What should I do?"
Lim Garam had been kind and generous to most people in his life.
But most of them had betrayed me— even the people I’ve given a second chance.
If it was just him, he wouldn’t hold a grudge since he knew that it would just create a vicious cycle of revenge.
However...
They touched Gunwoo— I won’t give them another chance to hurt my baby.
"Hyung, I want you to find out first why Go Boram betrayed us," Lim Garam said in a serious tone. "If she was blackmailed, then just send her to a different country where she could still work and live quietly. But if she only betrayed us for money, then..."
He couldn’t dare say it out loud.
Thankfully, he didn’t have to.
"Alright. I understand," Song Sihyuk said, kissing Lim Garam on the forehead. "I bury that bitch six feet under."
***
ARGH.
Kim Heedo couldn’t complain when Song Sihyuk sprayed perfume on him as soon as he sat in the passenger seat.
Yes, the older Alpha was in charge of driving.
It looked like Song Sihyuk left Jung Han— his most trusted subordinate— to protect Lim Garam and Gunwoo just like how Heedo left Shin Kang— his most trusted subordinate— to protect Park Sohee.
But that didn’t mean only the two of them would confront the thugs that they were about to catch.
There were at least three SUVs full of bodyguards behind the car.
"You really took your sweet time, huh?" Song Sihyuk said after spraying Heedo with a perfume that managed to "erase" the smell of his pheromones. "Is it safe to assume that we’ll get some good news soon?"
"Hyung-nim, Sohee Hyung and I aren’t planning on having a baby anytime soon," Heedo said while shaking his head. "Personally, I’d like to delay that for as long as I can. I want to monopolize Sohee Hyung. So, I don’t want a little rival yet."
It was only recently that Heedo started dating Park Sohee for real.
We barely started our honeymoon stage yet, so I don’t want a baby to end that phase.
"You know, that’s what I thought as well before meeting Gunwoo," Song Sihyuk said. "But, thanks to my son, Lim Garam can’t leave me as easily as he did in the past."
"I don’t think I have to worry about Sohee Hyung running away from me, Hyung-nim. Unlike you, I treat my husband well," Heedo said, scoffing. "I mean, I was a bad partner to Sohe Hyung at the start of our relationship— but I never mistreated or abused him the way you did to Garam Hyung-nim."
"If you weren’t a kid I adore, I would have punched you already."
"Did I say something wrong?"
Song Sihyuk just sighed while shaking his head, and then he started the engine. "We already found the ’Han Yechan’ that you told us to find," he said, changing the topic. "And he’s with Jin Taejoon."
Heedo clenched his hands tight. "Good— I get to teach those two bastards a lesson at the same time."
