Married For Now-Chapter 150: ILSUNG VS. DAESUNG
Chapter 150: ILSUNG VS. DAESUNG
"SERA-YA, I’m sorry. I really don’t know what to say other than that. I’m... I don’t know. My head is a mess."
Hong Sera’s heart broke for Han Raehyun.
But, to be honest, she didn’t know how to comfort him.
Or if I even have the spare energy to do that.
Jin Minki wasn’t able to deny the truth.
When Han Raehyun realized it, he asked Jin Minki to leave.
Jin Minki left, but I have a feeling he’s waiting for Han Raehyun outside.
"Raehyun-ah, I think you and Jin Minki should talk first," Hong Sera said. Yes, she was pushing Han Raehyun to Jin Minki this time. "Let’s talk again later."
Han Raehyun looked hurt, but she didn’t take it back.
Hong Sera thought she’d feel relieved once she finally revealed the truth to her boyfriend. However, she only felt more tired than ever.
It also made her feel like a fool.
What did I even protect Jin Minki’s secret for?
"Sera-ya, please don’t be like this," Han Raehyun pleaded. "Please let me apologize to you properly."
"What exactly are you apologizing for, Raehyun-ah?"
"For... for everything."
"You mean for prioritizing Jin Minki over me?"
"Sera-ya..."
"Don’t you think that maybe you like Jin Minki more than you like me, Raehyun-ah?"
"Please don’t say that, Sera-ya," Han Raehyun said firmly while shaking his head. "I admit that there are times I prioritized Jin Minki over you. But I thought I was just doing my job as a friend. And that you’d understand because you’re a kind person."
"And, so, you decided to take advantage of my kindness."
"Sera-ya, I didn’t mean to do that. Please let me make it up to you. Let’s fix this."
"No."
"Sera-ya..."
"I’m tired, Raehyun-ah," Hong Sera said, smiling weakly at Han Raehyun. "Let’s break up."
Han Raehyun looked shocked by what she said. "Sera-ya, please don’t do this to me. Let’s talk it out. Please."
"I don’t want to do this anymore, Raehyun-ah. Please leave."
"Sera-ya."
Hong Sera just avoided Han Raehyun’s gaze.
Her nannies-slash-bodyguard quickly moved and physically removed Han Raehyun out of her sight.
Haaah.
She thought she could finally breathe again.
Even so, she refused to cry.
Thankfully, Hong Sera didn’t cry because if she had, she wouldn’t be able to face her older brothers who visited her again.
And she knew why her oppas rushed over there.
My nannies heard my conversation with Han Raehyun and Jin Minki, so I’m sure they reported everything to my older brothers.
Hong Sera didn’t feel betrayed, though.
This is my punishment for refusing to bring my bodyguards with me— I’ll be under surveillance for a while.
Oh, well.
I’m sure my Oppas will soon give me back my freedom and privacy.
"Sera-ya, from now on, Han Raehyun and Jin Minki are blacklisted," Hong Seokho, her second oldest brother, said firmly. "If they try to approach you, they’ll be apprehended right away."
Hong Sera just lowered her head.
"I can’t believe you let those bastards treat you that way when you..." Hong Seokho trailed off, and then he let out a frustrated sigh. "At least you already broke up with Han Raehyun. You can’t change your mind, okay?"
Hong Sera just bit her lower lip.
To be honest, she was half-acting. Of course, she couldn’t really talk back to her older brothers. But she was also acting pitiful on purpose to soften her older brothers’ hearts.
I can’t completely give up on my freedom and privacy, after all.
"We found out that Sanha and Lee Junsu are faking their conditions— they’re far from being on the brink of death," Hong Seojun, her oldest brother, said. "In fact, the two aren’t even in the hospital anymore."
Hong Sera raised her head, confused. "Why are you investigating them, Oppa?"
"Do you think we’ll let Lee Junsu get away with it easily after that bastard almost killed you?"
Oh, no.
Hong Seojun was always calm and composed, but she could tell that her oldest brother was really angry at the moment.
Hong Seokho didn’t even dare to open his mouth.
Seokho Oppa has a bad temper, so he’s always angry. But when Seojun Oppa is the one who’s mad, Seokho Oppa suddenly becomes calm and quiet.
In short, Hong Sera was alone on this matter.
"Oppa, Heedo already made a deal with Sanha. If we go after Lee Junsu, then Sanha will expose Heedo’s secret—"
"So what?" Hong Seojun interrupted her. "That’s their problem, Sera-ya."
"Oppa!"
"We will find Lee Junsu and make that bastard pay for what he did to you," Hong Seojun said sternly. "And you’re grounded. After you get discharged, you’ll stay at home in the meantime. Your sisters-in-law already filed your leave of absence at school."
"But Oppa—"
"You can’t use your phone either. In fact, all your gadgets will be confiscated until I say so," Hong Seojun said firmly, and it seemed like he had already made up his mind. "You won’t be allowed to talk to Kim Heedo and his family until we catch Lee Junsu."
"Oppa, you can’t do this," Hong Sera said firmly, glaring at his oldest brother. "Nothing bad happened to me, so why are you overreacting?"
She realized that she said the wrong things when both her older brothers glared at her.
"I mean, I didn’t get hurt that much..."
Again, she said something dumb.
She recently had a surgery, and yet she undermined the injury she got in front of her protective older brothers.
Stupid, stupid.
"Not even Kwon Gaon and Yang Jaewon are allowed to visit you from now on," Hong Seojun said coldly. "Those two are Kim Heedo’s underlings, after all."
"Your sisters-in-law will accompany you so you won’t get bored," Hong Seokho added. "But don’t even try using your charm on your sisters-in-law. We already told them not to give in to your puppy dog eyes."
Haaah.
"How about Cho Euntak then?" Hong Sera asked, using her puppy dog eyes on her older brothers. "Euntakie is a good child. And you caught the truck driver because of his quick thinking. He’s a crybaby, so he’ll worry a lot if he’s suddenly forbidden from visiting me."
Her older brothers didn’t say anything this time.
Just a little more push...
"Cho Euntak is just from an average middle-class family," Hong Sera added, a bit teary-eyed this time. "At least let me hang out with my dongsaeng, Seojun Oppa, Seokho Oppa..."

"MADAM, Vice Chairmna, the Daesung Group has made their move— it seems like they’re hunting down Lee Junsu-ssi."
Haaah.
Kang Nari already expected that the Daesung Group wouldn’t let Lee Junsu get away after threatening Hong Sera’s life.
My son and son-in-law underestimated the Hongs’ overprotectiveness of their princess.
But as a mother, she had a duty to protect her son and son-in-law.
Heedo already told me about the deal he made with Sanha. If the Daesung Group goes after Lee Junsu, then Sanha will sell my son’s information to the black market. And once those evil people find out that my son is a Hyper-Dominant Alpha...
"We have to help Sanha protect Lee Junsu, don’t we?"
Kang Nari lifted her head and met her husband’s gaze. "It doesn’t feel good that we have to protect the people who hurt our son and son-in-law."
In fact, she already hated the fact that Kim Heedo and Park Sohee decided to let Lee Jusu get away with his crimes easily.
I understand their choice, but that doesn’t mean I agree with them.
"If we protect them from the Daesung Group, then shouldn’t that give us an upper hand?" Kim Dohan, her husband, raised an eyebrow. He looked kind most of the time. But, at that moment, it was clear how he became the Vice Chairman of the Ilsung Group early. "Sanha can only do so much against a huge conglomerate like the Daesung Group. Moreover, he has nothing against the Hongs. He can’t make a deal with them like he did with our son. To be fair, he can’t say that Kim Heedo didn’t honor their deal. After all, Kim Heedo couldn’t control how the Hongs would react."
"You’re right, honey," Kang Nari said while nodding. "Do you think we can make a deal with Sanha if we help them before the Daesung Group gets their hands on them?"
"We have to do our best. After all, we can’t let the people from the underworld find out that Heedo is a Hyper-Dominant Alpha. If we can mess with Song Sihyuk just to get his pheromones, they can do that to our son as well."
Right.
"Alright," Kang Nari said, nodding. "We’ll help Sanha and Lee Junsu even if it means going against the Daesung Group."
Kim Dohan smiled and nodded. "Shall we make our move now?"

IS SOMEONE following me?
Go Gunjoon was walking on the sidewalk, blending in with the crowd.
Even so, he still couldn’t shake off the feeling that he was being followed.
Should I run?
He was already near the café where he was supposed to meet Kim Heedo’s twin siblings, so would it be weird if he ran away?
Ah, whatever— my safety comes first.
And, so, Go Gunjoon ran as fast as he could.
"Wait, Gunjoon-ah!"
Hmm?
That voice was really familiar.
But Go Gunjoon, as an athlete, knew that he shouldn’t abruptly stop running. Instead of doing that, he just slowed down first.
And while doing that...
"Get him."
Two ridiculously good-looking kids around his age blocked Go Gunjoon’s way arrogantly.
Then a few men dressed in black suits ran past Go Gunjoon.
Bodyguards?
"Argh! Let me go!"
Oh, the bodyguards caught Sunbae.
Go Gunjoon finally stopped running after slowing down for a moment, standing in front of the good-looking kids.
Ah, those faces...
"Are you Heedo Hyung-nim’s twin siblings?"
The twin siblings— Kim Haewon and Kim Hanhae— both nodded.
"I’m Kim Haewon."
"I’m Kim Hanhae," the boy said, his gaze going past Go Gunjoon. "Do you know that person?"
"Unfortunately, I do," Go Gunjoon said, sighing before turning around to face the person who had been caught by the twins’ bodyguards. "Byeol Sunbae, why are you following me?"
