Chapter 102 - 102 Travelling

Yang Kai had no concrete plan when he left High Heaven Pavilion. He simply chose a direction and ran, his heart set on leaving it all behind. A trail of flame flared beneath his feet as he dashed forward, moving at lightning speed. In just one night, he covered nearly 100 to 150 kilometers.

Throughout his sprint, Yang Kai remained keenly aware of his surroundings. He could feel the shifting flow of Yuan Qi in his legs—especially when he tried to push his speed further. Whenever he attempted to accelerate, the Yuan Qi seemed to bottleneck, pressing against some invisible threshold.

Thankfully, he had a movement technique from the Inheritance Realm—one of the Martial Skills he had acquired. This technique played a huge role in enabling his rapid travel, allowing him to glide across terrain with ease and cover an extraordinary distance in a short time.

Additionally, he had used another disguise technique from the Martial Skills he'd learned, altering both his appearance and attire. His face now appeared entirely different, his features smoothed out, and his clothes changed to blend into a commoner's style. This transformation helped him avoid detection, ensuring that no one would recognize him as he made his way through the wilderness.

A heatwave lingered in the moist air. The sound of rippling water could be heard in the distance. Ancient trees rose from the ground, blocking the sun like a giant umbrella. Only a few spots of sunlight reached the wetland.

The Dark Forest! Yang Kai remembered this place.

The Dark Forest covered a vast area. The trees were so thick that sunlight couldn't penetrate. The forest stayed damp and dark, even during the day. That's why it was called the Dark Forest.

Demon beasts often appeared in the Dark Forest. Some even reached the 6th or 7th grade. Trade caravans, soldiers, and warriors passed through it now and then. They knew high-level demon beasts only appeared in special areas. Low-level ones were usually vagrants.

Generally, trade caravans wouldn't encounter high-level demon beasts. As long as they stuck to their usual routes, they were safe. But soldiers and warriors often ventured into the beast-infested areas. They sought out fights.

Great risk brought great rewards. If a soldier killed a demon beast of the 6th or 7th level, he'd earn a lot of crystal coins. Each demon beast above level 6 had a monster core. These cores were highly valuable to warriors, alchemists, and blacksmiths.

Besides the monster core, the fur, fangs, bones, flesh, and poison were all valuable. The body of a high-grade demon beast was full of treasures.

This attracted brave soldiers and warriors to the Dark Forest. However, only a few achieved their goals. Most underestimated the intelligence and strength of the demon beasts. They paid for it with their lives.

After wandering through the Dark Forest for what felt like hours, Yang Kai's clothes clung to his skin. Sweat soaked his back, and a layer of dust coated his body.He paused.A bath wouldn't be a bad idea, he thought. He recalled hearing water earlier. Perhaps there was a pond nearby. With that thought, he decided to follow the sound.

Yang Kai observed his surroundings carefully. The sound of flowing water reached his ears again—this time, clearer.Mixed in with it was the soft chatter of women.

He hesitated for a moment.Just then, he heard a faint rustle from the bushes ahead. It sounded like someone was moving the leaves.

His gaze shifted in that direction.Through the dense bushes, a female figure came into view. She was slim and graceful, her posture relaxed and unguarded.

Yang Kai saw her undo a white belt and crouch down. Her peach-shaped, snow-white bottom was revealed to him.

She waved her hand lazily, trying to keep away the mosquitoes. It looked like she was about to relieve herself.

The woman didn't seem to notice she was being watched. She even began to hum a cheerful tune.

At first, Yang Kai was frozen in place. Then, his eyes were drawn to that flawless white curve.

Yang Kai's complexion quickly dyed red , gulping down his saliva. After several days of promoting his cultivation level and overall strength, the Yin-Yang Joyous Unification Art had a stronger influence over him. It was a common occurrence for Su Yan's face to flash in his mind. If not for the strength of meditation, he would definitely not be able to overcome his desires

"Pa!"The woman slapped her smooth, white left hip to kill a mosquito. The sudden motion made her butt jiggle slightly, captivating Yang Kai's gaze.

She soon finished urinating and buckled her belt again."Damn mosquitoes..." she muttered under her breath.

Then, without warning, she turned swiftly. Her hands released a green arc of lightning, crackling through the air.The burst struck every mosquito nearby, killing them instantly.

As she moved, Yang Kai finally got a clear look at her face. She looked to be around twenty, about five and a half feet tall. Her skin glowed like moonlight, and her features were soft yet radiant.

She had a slim waist, a full chest, and perfect posture. The lavender robe and silver soft armor she wore only added to her allure. It clung tightly, highlighting every seductive curve like a wild, untamed vixen from legends.

Yang Kai couldn't help but focus on her hot body.So beautiful... he thought, completely entranced.

His eyes continued to wander.Suddenly, the woman's gaze snapped toward him—Right through the massive banana leaves.

Her eyes gleamed like lightning.

"Did you see me naked?"The woman's voice was sharp. She was clearly annoyed—but still dangerously beautiful.

Yang Kai scratched his cheek, a bit sheepish but calm.

"I might've caught a glimpse," he admitted. "It wasn't intentional."

Her eyes narrowed. "Did you enjoy it?"

Yang Kai gave a small smile. "You're... easy on the eyes. Like moonlight on water—elegant and rare."

Mo Yanyu's brows twitched. "Trying to be poetic, are we?"

"Just honest," Yang Kai replied, hands raised in a half-surrender. "And respectful. I didn't come here looking to spy."

"You want to see some more?" she snapped, furious now. Her tone was icy, though her eyes still burned.

Yang Kai chuckled, stepping back a little. "Not unless you offer. I prefer not to be struck by lightning today."

That calm, teasing tone only enraged Mo Yanyu more. She had never met a man quite like him—So casually bold, yet not quite lecherous.Still... too much!

Who is this guy?! she fumed inwardly.

He appears out of nowhere, acts like he owns the place, and even dares to joke like this!

Taking a deep breath, Mo Yanyu clenched her fists. Her chest rose and fell with anger, her silver armor shimmering with her every movement.

Then she laughed.Cold, sharp, dangerous. "Nice. Very nice. You're really something."

Yang Kai grinned, but kept his tone lighter this time. "Thank you. I try to leave a good first impression."

Her eye twitched.

Then she exploded. "Good impression, my ass!"

Green light surged around her hands as her arms spread wide. With a snap, a beam of lightning shot toward Yang Kai, sharp and deadly like a viper striking from the shadows.

In a flash, green light tore through the air.Everything between them—trees, leaves, even stones—was shredded to pieces.

The lightning hit Yang Kai square in the chest.

"Boom!"

He was thrown backward, lifted off the ground by the sheer force. His body crashed against the forest floor, skidding through the dirt.

Blood poured from a deep wound across his chest.Flesh split open, bones faintly visible beneath. The searing pain was unbearable. For a moment, he thought he might actually die—

But his immortal gift kicked in again, stubbornly pulling him back from the brink.

The space between them was now cleared.Everything in the lightning's path had been reduced to ash.

Mo Yanyu began walking toward him.Her eyes were cold. Her face was even colder.

Yang Kai groaned, coughing as he forced himself to focus. His vision steadied. He came back to his senses—

And saw the furious beauty closing in.

Yang Kai's mind suddenly became crystal clear. The faint traces of YuanQi in his body slowly gathered at his chest wound, beginning to heal him.

As the YuanQi circulated, the burning pain dulled.

He heard soft footsteps squishing on the wet ground—Mo Yanyu was getting closer.

Yang Kai quickly jumped to his feet.He steadied his breath and locked eyes with the approaching woman.

"You intended to kill me?" he asked calmly.

Mo Yanyu stopped about twenty-five meters away. She frowned slightly. "Still breathing?"

Her gaze lingered on him, sharp yet curious. There's YuanQi inside him... A Qi practitioner stage?Seems I should've hit harder, she thought to herself.

Yang Kai dropped all hints of teasing this time.He got serious.

He stared at the girl, tense and focused—Ready, because he knew another strike might come at any moment.
