His eyes widened in shock, Duncan could only stare at the body of his dying uncle, Eldruis, the staff piercing through the middle of his chest. Coughing up copious amounts of blood, he smiled a sad smile, aware of his damned fate.
"Boy...*cough*, *cough*, *huargh*,... thank...*cough*,...thank Illumia you're safe. I-I've kept...my promise to your mother...*cough*...now...go..."
And with that, the Elf closed his eyes, claiming his eternal rest.
"Uncle...UNCLE!?"
With a loud roar, Duncan launched a tier-4 spell, Spiked Fists, at Gears. Smacking his face, the mad Mechmagos flew across the sky, crashing through the remaining buildings.
Still enraged at the brutal murder of his uncle, he continued his barrage at Gears, who, being drained of most of his energy, could only take the beating lying down. Duncan, now a tier-5 Woodmancer, held more power than before. Using these vast reserves, he continued pummelling Gears, wanting to break his mechanical face into tiny, tiny pieces.

For the first time since forever, he felt something stir inside of him. A righteous fury bubbled up within him, igniting his soul in a fiery rage. The barrier he felt within him, a thin yet resilient wall, slowly began collapsing, crumbling into tiny bits.
He had found it at last, the reason why chose to go to the Bureau all those years ago, when he picked up that relic millenia ago. Clenching his fists, the Wootforce began bubbling up, turning brighter and brighter, till it covered him in a sharp golden hue.
