Mummy Evolution-Chapter 106: Blackhearted Golden Businessman
Zainah closed her eyes.
The moment she ingested the Tomb Heart, her entire body began to emit a keening sound. Her veins lit up, and the purple blood that she had ingested immediately began working together with her Tomb Heart to change her body. Then, the corrupted blood began to course through her organs, bones, and flesh. In the span of exactly sixty seconds, her body changed.
Her hair, which used to be completely dark in color, gained a single strand of purple brilliance that contrasted against her normal hair.
Then, the transformation ended.
Zainah opened her eyes—feeling the changes in her senses immediately. Tomb Raiders had much keener senses than a normal human being. That became clear to her the moment she breathed in.
Air was cooler.
Color was more vibrant.
Things appeared slower.
And she herself felt stronger.
Immense power, more power than any normal human could hope for, thrummed within her flesh.
Her body, now that of a Tomb Raider, was no longer so easy to destroy, nor so feeble. She had skin as hard as a wooden sculpture. With bones that should be even stronger than that. But as expected, becoming more durable didn't make her uglier, nor did it make her skin coarse. She gained streamlined, feminine muscle structure that complemented her looks.
Sett looked at her with squinted eyes.
How strong was she now?
An average human Tier 1 Low level Tomb Raider would have about one metric tons worth of strength. That was how strong Zarah was. About average. When Sett had first awakened—he had been the same.
That was the human standard.
But Zainah, having drunk the purple blood, was stronger than that.
Sett scanned her.
—
[Zainah]
[Tier 1 "Low" Tomb Raider]
[Updated Physical Attributes]
Approximate Strength: 1.4 Metric Tons
Durability: Equal to hardened wood
Speed: 50-60 km/h (31 to 47 mph)
Resilience:
Normal poisons and diseases can not harm her.
Regeneration: Can passively heal minor wounds like small cuts in minutes
—
Sett couldn't help but be amazed.
This was the strength of an average Sacred Tier 1 Tomb Raider. That meant that even as a Tier 1 "Low" Tomb Raider, Zainah could fight nearly on equal terms with a Tier 1 "Sacred."
Yes, her body might not be as durable as them, but it was just as strong!
When Sett was a Tier 1 Sacred Tomb Raider—not a Tomb Walker—even he had only had as much strength as Zainah did now.
1.4 tons.
That might not seem that big of a difference compared to 1 metric ton that normal people had at her level, but it would make a heavy difference in the long term.
Sett calculated in his mind.
For one, when Zainah becomes a Tier 2 Sacred, she would have nearly 4 tons of strength. When she uses her first Tier 3 Tomb Heart and gains a 10x boost, she would become a Tier 3 Low Tomb Raider with nearly 40 tons of strength!
Average human Tier 3 Tomb Raiders only had 28 tons to 30 tons!
By the time Zainah became a Tier 5, she would completely leave average Tomb Raiders of equal strength in the dust. Her talent would compound itself!

"Oh, now." The Door Spirit spoke again. "The young lady has one more gift she hasn't gained yet—so, I will allow you to ask. Tell me something you think is impossible to achieve and I will tell you how to make it possible!"
Sett's gaze sharpened. He smirked.
Zainah had already been told what to ask.
Calming down from the sensation of immense strength, she looked at the door and took a deep breath.
"Um…" she said. "I think a mortal becoming a God is impossible. How do you think that can become a possibility?"
The Door became silent.
Sett's heart tightened.
The Door finally spoke. "There is nothing impossible in the world. Anything and everything is possible, if you think something is impossible, you just don't know how to make it possible.
"Becoming a God is impossible?
"NO! It is possible. It is a treacherous path, and only few would truly raise beyond mortality, but it is a possible thing.
"The problem is, neither you nor the young man understand what a God-being truly is. Without understanding that, you will never achieve your dream!"
"What is a God?" Sett blurted out.
"A God is a being who has broken their mortal weaknesses in its entirety. I will not tell you what those weaknesses are, but I will tell you how you can make the impossibility a possibility."
All three of the listeners became excited.
"First of all, I will tell you one thing. Only one God can be born from one world. And for that being to become a God, they must gain the acknowledgement of the World Consciousness!"
Sett's gaze sharpened.
The Door continued. "For one to gain acknowledgement of the World Consciousness, one must be the strongest creature alive in the world in all departments!"
"All departments?!" Sett exclaimed in shock. "As in all parts of life?"
"Mentally, Physically, Spiritually. In a battlefield, in an art competition, in cooking—in everything. A God is all capable, so if you are not the best in everything in your world, don't even dream of Godhood!"
Sett paled. "How is that even possible?"
Things like art, cooking, and battlefield were one thing. If you trained hard enough, you could probably become the best in the world if you had enough resources and talent. But there were hard limits in some matters!
For example, physical strength.
Human Tier 5 Sacred Tomb Raiders could never compare to a T Rex of the same level. In fact, they couldn't even come close!
The strongest physical body in the world would of course belong to such a species, not humans.
The Door Spirit sneered. "It is the only way to make the impossibility a possibility! Become the best in everything your world has to offer and then attempt at evolution into Tier 6—and I can assure you that you will not fail.
"Now, the young lady's chance is over. I will not give you such important advice again unless the next person throws something in and answers my three questions."
Sett had a lot of other questions and he was not going to waste this chance.
He asked, "Who are you to know all of this?"
"Me?"
It chuckled half heartedly.
"I am just a God."
Sett became completely silent.
"Prove it!" He said.
It sneered audibly. "Otherwise, how can you explain my divine skills? Why do you think I don't show my face and am acting like a door?"
Zarah was the one to ask: "Why?"
"Because a mortal should not lay eyes on a God. Or he would just die. This Door is not even a true version of me, I am far away outside this timeline, and this is just a reflection of me."
"…"
Sett felt his heart clench.
Yet, he didn't completely believe it. There was a faint sense in his heart that said the guy was telling half-truths.
"So, brat. Throw something in," it said to Sett. "I am not interested in asking the little sister over there any questions, but I am burning with questions for you. And I am super curious what you will throw in!"
Sett hesitated.
He already had an audacious plan in motion, but knowing that he was—or might be—facing a God made him hesitant.
The Door Spirit tempted him. "If you answer all 3 of my questions, you can also ask me a way to make the impossible possible. I can tell you what you need to do in order to become the best at everything, I can tell you how to make the impossible possible!"
Sett hesitated even more.
Then, he decided to be bold anyway.
"Can anyone just throw in things into the door and get your rewards?" Sett asked calmly.
The Door became wary. "Why do you ask that?"
"A God should know."
"I am not a God but a mere reflection of one, obviously I don't have all the powers of a God." It coughed. "But indeed, anyone can throw in things and I will give them the same benefits as the young lady."
"I see. I hope you don't go back on your words."
Then, Sett remained silent as he waited.
Zainah and Zarah were curious as they waited along with him.
Soon, small dots became visible in the air as many flying monsters appeared in the distance. The girls watched with rapt attention as the creatures reached close to the door and began circling around them.
Sett put his hand behind his back and looked at the door first, then at the flying creatures surrounding him. All of the creatures had tens of normal human beings on their back.
Sett smiled at them. "All of you came after reading the notice I left on the beasts, right?"
"Yeah!" They shouted. "We read it loud and clear!"
Sett laughed. "What did it say?"
They answered loudly: "The notice said you would give each of us a hundred kilogram of gold in return of throwing something into a door for you!"
The moment Sett started searching for the Cloud Door, he had also started thinking of the best way to maximize this opportunity. Then, he had come up with a single conclusion. If one person only had one chance with the Door, he just had to make use of other people's chances for himself.
If they are unwilling, give them something in return that he himself did not care about!
If they remain unwilling, beat them to death!
Sett turned to look at the Door with a gentle smile on his face.
"I hired some workers for me, you don't mind, do you?"
Sett would have preferred to keep it a secret from the Door. To blackmail others and make use of their opportunity for himself without letting the door know about it. That had always been Sett's plan. But the fact that the Door might be too powerful to offend made him wary.
He decided to tell the Door his plan straight up.
He was going to use all the mortals in Kemet capital city and make them use their Cloud Door opportunity for himself.
He will make them throw his own blood in there instead of theirs, he will make them throw in Tomb Hearts and he will take them for himself, and in fact, he might even try throwing in all the miscellaneous things in his hand using them as his proxy.
This was how one should maximize their opportunities.
As for their chance to ask about how to turn the impossible possible?
Obviously, he would ask for them.
He won't trouble them by making them use their head. That was too mean!
As for his own and Zarah's chance, he would use them last!
The Door Spirit was speechless.
"What a blackhearted businessman! You are scamming them!"
Sett shrugged. "I am giving them hundred kilograms of gold each. These people are the kind that has to steal or beg in order to feed themselves, and with that wealth, they can live happily. They are willing to be scammed, why do you care?"
The Door became speechless again. "Am I the god or are you the one?"
"You certainly don't seem like one," Zainah quipped absent-mindedly.
Zarah nodded.
The Door was speechless.
Sett ignored it and looked at the small crowd. He shouted: "Don't make a fuss and stand in a line, come one by one!"
The Door became even more speechless.
If someone did this back in the actual era of Kemet, they would be seeking death. After all, nobody was invinsible and if someone tried to monopolize a resource like the Cloud Door, they would be attacked by other greedy enemies.
With this many people, word would surely spread after all!
But now, that was not that big of a problem. The Guardians were in their Guardian Rooms, so they would not hear about it, and anyone who was a threat to Sett had already been taken care of.
Nobody could threaten his monopoly for the time being and using that time, he was going to grow stronger!
Zainah looked at Sett.
Sett is not just handsome, he is even smarter than he looks!
Zarah just found it normal at this point.
