My Harem Will Help Me Get My Revenge-Chapter 63: [ - - 55] - Elena Frost
Chapter 63: [Chapter - 55] - Elena Frost
Chapter - 55
The grand mansion was quiet.
Lucius was lying on a large bed, one arm behind his head, the other moving along a floating screen only he could see.
The Killer Lust System shimmered in front of his eyes — smooth blue and silver colors, symbols, numbers, and buttons. It looked like a game menu, but Lucius already knew better.

Lucius nodded in satisfaction, "Not bad for my first mission."
The System’s voice chimed in, smooth and cheeky.
[Not bad? You have done excellent for your first quest, master. You managed to stay alive, made sure Iris got the deal, and face-slapped the bitch out of that man. If I had hands, I would be clapping.]
Lucius chuckled, "Thanks. I would bow, but I am feeling lazy right now."
He swiped the screen with two fingers. The shop menu popped open.

Lucius scrolled through slowly, "Damn... I want all of these."
[Then kill more. Love more. Rise faster.]
Lucius grinned, "I will take both."
Suddenly, there was a soft knock on the door. Three gentle taps.
Lucius turned off the screen and sat up, "Yeah?"
A young female voice answered politely.
"Sir... there’s a police officer waiting downstairs to see you."
Lucius frowned, "Police?"
"Yes, sir. He said he knows you."
Lucius stood, stretched, and threw on a shirt. He mumbled under his breath, "I haven’t killed anyone publicly yet. So what’s this for?"
Lucius walked out of the room and down the large staircase. The house staff avoided looking at him too long — he was already becoming a mystery in the mansion.
As he reached the main entrance hall, he spotted a man in uniform waiting by the door. A police officer, tall, mid-30s, short trimmed mustache, and tired eyes.
Lucius paused, staring at him.
Then he remembered.
**Flashback**
He had just escaped from the creepy kidnapper, and this very officer had driven him back.
**Flashback End**
The officer turned and noticed Lucius.
"You are looking better," he said in a calm, tired voice.
Lucius raised a brow, "You are the guy from that night. What’s this about?"
The officer nodded, "Can we talk privately? But... it’s important."
Lucius stayed still for a second, then gave a half-shrug.
"Alright, officer. Let’s talk."

The officer sat stiffly on a chair, his fingers wrapped around a cup of untouched tea. Across from him, Lucius leaned back lazily on a velvet sofa, legs crossed, arms resting on the backrest. A quiet silence hung between them.
The officer cleared his throat again, "So... uh... how have you been settling in? The mansion’s huge, right? Looks like it has history."
Lucius raised an eyebrow.
"You didn’t come all the way here for small talk, officer. Say what you came to say."
The officer shifted in his seat. He avoided Lucius’s eyes for a second and scratched the back of his neck.
Lucius’s patience thinned.
"Listen," he said with a sigh, "I didn’t kill anyone. I only beat up that old pervert that night. I haven’t even stolen a girl—yet. So unless you are here to invite me to a medal ceremony, speak up."
The officer flinched slightly, then sighed.
"The predator... the old man who tried to kidnap you..."
Lucius’s eyes narrowed, "What about him?"
The officer finally looked at him directly, "He escaped."
Lucius blinked, "What?"
"He broke out yesterday. From the holding center," the officer explained, "No one saw it coming. The last thing he told another inmate was that he wanted revenge. Said he would finish the job... said he would find the boy who ruined everything."
Lucius sat up straighter, but his face stayed calm.
The officer continued, "My senior asked me to bring you to the station. For a statement. And to provide protective detail. It’s a precautionary measure."
Lucius leaned his head back and laughed softly.
"Revenge? From me? You must be kidding."
"I am not," The officer looked serious. "He is dangerous, unpredictable, and furious. He already took out two guards. You might think this is nothing, but we don’t want to take chances."
Lucius stood up and paced a little, arms crossed.
"Look, I don’t do police protection. I am not a baby hiding behind uniforms."
"Maybe not," the officer said calmly, "But your life is valuable. If anything happens to you, it becomes a bigger issue for us."
Lucius rubbed his chin, clearly annoyed.
Then he glanced toward the staircase. The attendant girl who Iris had assigned to him stood at a distance, watching quietly with expressionless face.
Lucius walked over and said softly, "Tell Iris when she is back that I have stepped out. Something urgent."
The girl nodded.
Lucius turned back to the officer, "Let’s go."

Inside the city police building, officers walked through the halls with files and coffee. Radios buzzed in the background.
Lucius sat outside an office on a hard bench, arms crossed, eyes staring at the ceiling. The officer who brought him stood nearby, checking his phone.
Twenty minutes had already passed, and Lucius was losing patience.
"How long do they plan to make me wait?" He asked.
The officer glanced at the shut office door and gave an apologetic smile, "Ummm... There might be some meeting going on."
Lucius gave him a long, unimpressed stare, "There’s always a meeting?"
The officer scratched his neck again, helpless.
Finally, Lucius stood up, not able to take it anymore, "Alright. Enough."
Without waiting, he pushed open the door and walked inside, "Hey! Listen, I don’t have all d..."
But he stopped mid-sentence as his breath caught in his throat.
Standing inside, behind a broad polished desk, was her.
A tall woman in her late 20s or early 30s. She had sharp, striking features — a high nose, defined cheekbones, and pink lips pressed into a straight line.
Her blonde hair was tied neatly in a high ponytail, not a single strand out of place. Her police uniform was crisp and perfectly fitted, the badges gleaming under the office lights.
Her sleeves were folded just above the elbows, showing strong, toned forearms. Her eyes were cold and steel-blue, fixed intensely on a file in front of her.
She stood with confidence, leaning on the table — one hand on her waist, the other flipping through papers while talking to another officer.
Lucius, for once, was quiet.
She looked up, brows raised slightly, noticing the new presence.
Lucius tilted his head a little, lips curving into a slow smirk.
"Damn," he muttered under his breath, "I should have come sooner."
The blonde officer raised an eyebrow, her expression sharp and clear.
"Excuse me?" she said, her voice calm but cold.
Lucius quickly changed his tone. He turned towards the officer who brought him in and gave him a light nudge with his elbow.
"Well?" Lucius asked with a playful smirk, "Aren’t you going to introduce us?"
The officer hesitated, then quickly stood straight.
"Ah, yes, right," he said, "Officer Lucius, this is Deputy Commissioner Elena Frost. She’s handling your case personally."
Lucius gave her a small bow, then raised his head with that same smirk, "Frost... Such a fitting name."
Elena didn’t smile. She simply nodded and turned toward the other officer who had been in the room with her, "You can leave us."
The man saluted quickly and walked out, leaving the door half-open.
Only three of them were left in the room now — Lucius, Elena Frost, and the other officer.
Lucius glanced sideways at the Officer, then slowly raised his eyebrows at him, as if saying, You too, buddy.
The Officer looked at Elena nervously.
She nodded once at him, and in no time, the officer cleared his throat and stepped out.
The door clicked shut.
Lucius chuckled softly and looked around, "So... private meeting? Just the two of us?"
Elena ignored his comment and pointed to the chair in front of her desk, "Sit."
Lucius sat down slowly, legs apart, one arm resting over the back of the chair, "As you command."
Just as he settled in, a soft sound rang in his head.
DING!

Lucius smiled to himself, ’Now we are talking.’
Elena was already pulling out a folder. She sat down across from him, her back straight, her eyes cold.
"I am going to get straight to the point, Lucius," she said, "We believe the man who attacked you — the predator — is planning to come after you again. This isn’t something you can just brush off."
Lucius leaned back, "Tell me something I don’t know."
Elena continued, flipping the folder open.
"We have been gathering intel. We know he had connections to other criminal groups. We want to understand why he targeted you. Was it random? Or is there something we are missing?"
Lucius gave her a lazy grin, "Miss Frost, is this how you usually talk to guys you invite to your office?"
Elena looked up, expression not changing.
"I don’t invite boys. I summon suspects."
Lucius chuckled, "Ouch. Cold as your name."
She narrowed her eyes slightly, "Lucius, take this seriously. If you are hiding something..."
He leaned forward, elbows on the desk.
"Wouldn’t you rather ask me what I like to eat for breakfast? Or how I like my eggs in the morning?"
"I don’t care," she said plainly, "And I don’t appreciate this."
"Not yet, you don’t" he whispered with a wink.
Elena didn’t respond. She looked back down at the file.
Lucius leaned back again, crossing his legs, "So, what’s next, officer? You want to ask me about our magical first meeting? How he held my hand? How did I scream like a damsel in distress?"
Elena sighed and finally closed the folder.
"You are enjoying this too much."
Lucius smiled wide, "Only because I love the company."
She stared at him, silent.
Then she slowly reached for another file. But her hand froze. Outside the room, there was a sudden loud bang.
Both Lucius and Elena looked toward the door.
The next second, the lights in the room flickered and then the room went dark.
And in that cold silence, a new message popped in front of Lucius’s eyes:
[Warning: Proximity Alert!]
[Predator Signature Detected — Less than 50 Meters]
Lucius’s smile faded.
Elena reached for the gun at her hip.
Lucius stood up slowly.
Outside, screams and boots echoed through the corridor.
Lucius looked at Elena and whispered, "So... breakfast at your house?"
