My Wife is a Dead Villainess, and I'm Her Living Weapon-Chapter 138: Witness
Chapter 138: Witness
The Sun was, for the most part, a gigantic nuclear reactor in the sky.
And while many knew of it, few cared how it worked. Even the mighty nukes that Earth was so proud of were nothing in the face of a sun.
A red wave of energy traveled across the sky. As if Bianca had torn open a volcano in the sky, bright lava-like plasma flowed westward over Crestfall City. A dull sonic boom reverberated as the solar flare crossed the heavens.
"They made a freaking sun? That was a solar flare, right?"
"Using what looked like a gun battery, Bianca Valestra shot a lance of fire to the west!"
"I know, right? For real, if I didn’t see it myself, I’d say people were tripping..."
"Although it shouldn’t be possible, it seems they used mana to bend physics—that is why..."
Everyone had their own opinions; the humans tried to make sense of what they saw. They wouldn’t be able to deal with their fear otherwise. People fear what they don’t understand—and Elian’s faction had just become the stuff of nightmares.
Bianca’s return—and her new weapon—was the checkmate.
Elian gazed at the humans; specifically, he noted the faces of the breakers. Max and Tessa, for all their strength, paled as they looked up. Countless others collapsed to the ground in disbelief.
"Good. Witness all this and know we have already surpassed you," Elian murmured.
Despite being a relatively new faction, Elian’s group already had powers beyond comprehension. The Weapons were immortal, enslaved the dead, and now had the power of the sun. The fear in everyone’s eyes showed just how effective the demonstration for tonight had been.
If anyone still doubted the Weapons of Valestra, there were none left now. And most would know that this power would be used to protect Bianca. He made his affection for her extremely clear.
I hope this prevents further issues in the future.
Elian couldn’t help but marvel at the power of their miniature sun. It was Elian and Bianca’s answer to being able to use the Fralhame Lances in the evening.
Having completed one of his goals, Elian gazed at the artificial star in the sky. The miniature solar flare was a weapon that took preparation, but it would serve as a nuclear deterrent from this point on. Just knowing that they had this played a role in diplomacy and war.
It was one of the things Elian had prepared for the invasion. While the rest of their plans were underway, he and Bianca shared a quiet moment last night.

"Bianca, can’t we just make our own sun? Aren’t stars just balls of hot gasses pressed together? We can use mana and the the Flame Swallows"
His lover thought for a moment and said, "It is plausible, just a bit complicated. But why?"
"To have a trump card. Something to scare the humans, if needed."
Bianca looked at Elian in disbelief but soon agreed.
"In that case, leave it to me. I have an idea of how to make it work. I just need a lot of Ice VII and the Flame Swallows constantly surrounding the core."
"Okay, then focus on that. I will take care of everything else," Elian replied. He paused for a bit before asking, "You don’t think I’m being paranoid?"
Bianca smiled and approached him. She took her hands in his and whispered gently, "I don’t know. But if having it will ease your nerves, I will give it my all to make it, Elian."
At her words, Elian felt his heart melt.
"Thank you, Bianca. I look forward to the results."
"Okay, I’ll get started immediately."
Though he longed to embrace her, he restrained himself. He gave Bianca a soft peck on the lips and left. He had a big battle to win, and indulging in pleasure would only dull his senses.

Elian did not believe humanity was kind or just. They were selfish bastards, plain and simple. And while they were a minority of good people, it was dangerous to operate under the belief that humans would work in good faith and integrity.
The Tyrant thought that since the Big Three abandoned Crestfall City, they would want reassurance. The best case for them was for Elian and his faction to die in the defense. But Elian was no fool, he knew that should he survive, his strength would be known to the world.
Recognition was a double-edged sword. Knowledge of one’s abilities makes others wary or confident about how to deal with others. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
And while humanity followed the three guilds, leaving your allies to die was the worst betrayal a leader could make. It forced those under them to keep in line, but at the cost of them knowing the Big Three would have no loyalties to speak of.
"System. Can you show me the nuke?"
[Affirmative.]
A pop-up window appeared in Elian’s vision. It was the live stream of a large missile racing around the globe at supersonic speeds. It had already left the continent it came from and was traveling above sea level.
"Can this be shared with everyone in Crestfall City?"
[You may do so using the faction announcement option.]
"Got it."
[Alert: The Earth Faction: Weapons of Valestra is broadcasting an Earth-wide announcement.]
The same view Elian was seeing was suddenly shared to every system user on Earth. Many among the humans in Crestfall grew terrified when they saw the direction the missile was heading.
But, in the same moment. The stream showed a bright light approaching the nuke. Rapidly, the right side of the video increased in brightness and grew blinding. Then a wave of red washed over the nuke, encasing it in solar flame.
Like a fish failing to swim against the current, the nuke’s thrusters stopped and exploded. Within seconds, the metallic body of the nuke deformed. The seconds ticked by as the deformed missile slowly turned red until it finally detonated.
A violent wave of energy traveled outward. The ocean under the nuke raged and created giant tsunamis on every side. Bianca’s solar flare was caught in the blast and could not proceed further. The broadcast had no sound, but everyone could see the mushroom cloud.
Those in Crestfall were blindsided by a shocking flash. Mere seconds later, a giant sonic boom traveled all the way to Crestfall City. It knocked over children, caused cars, and even buildings to shake.
Terrified, the people of the city looked up and saw the pillar of smoke rising in the distance. Seeing was believing, and the credibility of Bianca’s heroic act all but hammered how close everyone was to dying.
Elian gazed at the majestic figure of Bianca as she wiped the sweat from her brow. He ended the broadcast a second later.
"Bianca? Are you okay?" he asked worriedly.
Using the last vestiges of her mana, Bianca vanished and made her way down. When she reached Elian a few moments later, she smiled wryly as Elian supported her.
"I will be fine. But I might have to hibernate for a while. Let’s take a rain check on your proposal."
"Okay, I will do it the moment you wake. Come back immediately. I will protect your core."
"Thank you, darling."
She couldn’t even say goodbye and flickered for a second before closing her eyes. Her soul body vanished not from turning ethereal but from exhaustion. The witch’s abrupt departure left behind her gloves, magic bag, and necklace on the floor.
Elian quickly picked them up and turned to the rest of his group. Max and Tessa joined them uninvited and were standing around awkwardly. The Weapons didn’t even look at them, while Ned and Charlotte only gave one-word answers.
"Ned, Charlotte, can I leave the aftermath to you? I wish to be alone with Bianca. We will return when we’re ready."
Ned slammed his fist against his armor as he answered, "Yeah, I got it. I’ll beat up anyone who tries to make trouble."
"As you command, Lord Silver. Leave everything else to me. Might I please use Velvet’s shop as my base? Mine is kind of gone now..."
"Sure, tell Sebastian I sent you."
The named Weapons came forward, all awaiting their orders from their Tyrant. Elian did not use human words and spoke to them using mana.
"Father-in-law. Please create a perimeter of the city. Mark any powerful individuals who arrive."
Bastion furrowed his eyebrows before he asked, "How powerful are we talking about? Human standards or ours?"
The Tyrant couldn’t help but chuckle at the comment.
"Ours. Anyone who is strong enough to make you worry, restrain, and bring to me." Elian turned to Fluffy. He was about to give her a command, but she spoke first.
"Relax, I already sent the human Weapons and a few Beowolves. They will last long enough for me to save your folks. Doubt that anyone could even come near them, though," Fluffy declared with a snicker.
Burny was perched on her shoulder, silent.
"Thank you, Fluffy," Elian said with a smile. "Also, Beowolves?"
"It is what we call ourselves now, Son-in-law. We are no longer Snow Wolves, but we are of Fralhame," Silent announced.
"I see. What will you be doing, Mother-in-law?"
"I intend to round up everyone belonging to the Big Three and execute anyone who resists. Will that be acceptable?"
Although Silent was asking cordially, Elian noticed the metal of her body rippling like a wave. Truly, much like the others, her personality had already warped into a battle junkie who embraces violence as a way of life.
"That is fine. We will take this city anyway. We need a home. And this place will be our stronghold. Use the rest of the Weapons as you see fit."
"Okay. Thank you for letting me do as I please," Silent replied with a bow.
Finally, Elian turned to the moth-like creature waiting in the background.
"Yearns."
"Yes, my Tyrant?"
"I will give you my first command. Find all spies from other races in my city and kill them all." Elian gestured to one of the Beowolves behind Silent, "Stil will be both your guard and your warden. Stil, kill her if she tries to do anything."
"As you command."
After giving his instructions, Elian walked back to the city. Even without him doing anything, the people gave him a wide berth. In silent agreement, everyone knew better than to block the new ruler of the city.
