The Ten Tails is the origin of chakra and a harbinger of calamity, a demonic force destined to bring the world to its end.
In truth, its most authentic form is that of a divine tree capable of bearing the Chakra Fruit.
If Kaguya's Ten Tails was a fully matured and complete manifestation of this entity, then what lay sealed within the towering structure before him was merely a sapling—a divine tree in the earliest stages of its existence.
When the Ten Tails transforms into the Divine Tree, its roots begin to spread across the planet, extending into every corner of the land and entwining themselves with the very essence of the world.
No matter where one tries to hide, the grasp of its branches cannot be escaped. It absorbs the chakra embedded in every living being, and through this absorption, it eventually bears the fruit that enables one to transcend their mortal coil.
In pursuit of these chakra fruits, the Ōtsutsuki clan travels from planet to planet, planting divine trees as part of a grand, cosmic harvest.
Depending on their beliefs and philosophies, different branches of the clan employ vastly different methods to cultivate the tree.
The Avalon faction, for instance, is ruthlessly efficient. They annihilate all life on the planet without hesitation, converting the collective life force into nutrients to feed the divine tree.
The method is brutally effective, yet highly risky. The success or failure hinges entirely on the overall quality of the planet. If the outcome proves unfavorable, the entire planet may be laid to waste without yielding even a single fruit, rendering all their efforts futile.
In contrast, the Saint Sanctury faction, to which Kaguya belonged, believes in a more sustainable, long-term strategy.
The idea is simple: to reap chakra, one must first sow the understanding of it among the natives. Kaguya had introduced chakra to Earth for this very purpose—so that the people would come to grasp its power and eventually chase it with fervor.
Without her "contributions," the flourishing era that followed would never have come to pass.
If one were to compare the chakra amassed by all life in the current shinobi world to that of ancient times, the difference would be unimaginable—hundreds or even thousands of times greater.
Each method of harvesting carries its own merits and flaws. The first may seem akin to killing the goose that lays the golden eggs, yet it minimizes uncertainty in its own way.
The second may appear more benevolent, but it comes with its own agonizing price. After all, the Goddess of the Rabbit has remained a widow for thousands of years.
From a personal standpoint, Kyosuke naturally favors the idea of shared prosperity through cooperative growth. The problem is that he no longer has the luxury of waiting for a planet's native population to evolve and mature on their own.
A thunderous roar tore through the stillness, jarring him from his contemplations.
"So impatient already?" Kyōsuke murmured.
Completely unfazed by the tantrum of the small Ten Tails, he gently descended onto its massive head.
With Isshiki now completely dead, this creature had become a masterless entity. According to the rules of the Ōtsutsuki clan, such an unclaimed divine sapling could be seized by anyone capable.
A diamond-shaped mark shimmered on his palm, and from it, black seals began to spread rapidly across the body of the Ten Tails.
Though it howled and thrashed in defiance, it could not escape its fate of remaining at the mercy of the Otsutsuki for the rest of its existence.
By inscribing the Karma Seal, Kyōsuke had effectively secured dominance over it. Even without the mark, his Rinnegan alone would have sufficed to subdue this wild beast.
One minute passed. Then five. Then ten.
With each passing moment, the Ten Tails' resistance waned. The rage in its eyes gradually faded, giving way to reluctant submission.
A strange, radiant violet light enveloped them. The infantile Ten Tails, massive as a mountain, seemed to dissolve like jelly being sucked away by some invisible force, its chakra rapidly being absorbed into Kyōsuke's body.
"I didn't expect to walk the same path as the old Jinchūriki," he mused, feeling the turbulent shift within his body. Yet he smiled, unconcerned.

Having stepped into the realm of the Six Paths through his Ultimate Sage Body, the presence of the Ten Tails did not alter the fundamental nature of his humanity.
His white hair and robes made for a striking figure, but Kyōsuke had no desire to look like one of the grotesque forms the Ōtsutsuki were known for.
Soon, the Ten Tails vanished completely from view.
Feeling the surge of chakra within himself, Kyōsuke opened his system interface and directed his gaze to the panel listing his personal attributes.
◇◆────────────────◆◇
Name: Uchiha Kyōsuke (Jinchūriki of the Ten Tails)
Age: 45
Physical Strength: Six Paths (Lower Tier)
Spiritual Strength: Six Paths (Lower Tier)
Chakra Capacity: Six Paths (Mid Tier)
◇◆────────────────◆◇
"No wonder advancing at this level is so difficult," he murmured. Among the three attributes, only his chakra had broken into the mid-tier of the Six Paths. The other two remained only slightly elevated.
Of course, it wasn't that the Ten Tails was weak. The issue was its current juvenile state. For this pitiful, comically ugly creature to mature, it would require an enormous supply of chakra.
The most effective method would be to devour the nine tailed beasts. But doing so would extinguish any chance of a second Ten Tails coming into being.
Unless absolutely necessary, Kyōsuke had no intention of taking that path.
"Speaking of which, it's been years since I last saw Tagorihime."
"I wonder if her little whip still holds up."
A flicker of anticipation crossed his face, stirred by whatever thought had just crossed his mind.
---
In Ryūchi Cave, before the White Snake Sage...
"So that is how it is." Upon grasping Kyōsuke's true purpose, the immense white serpent shifted slightly, her massive head swaying with unease. A hint of fear stirred in her heart.
Fortunately, she had chosen to aid him back then. Had she resisted or tried to hinder him, the man now standing before her might have come to claim far more than just the Sage Serpent Pool.
"Tagorihime, guide him to the spring," the White Snake Sage said. Her tone remained composed, but within her, unease stirred like a shadow that refused to fade.
She still remembered vividly the silhouette of the man who had once wounded her through the veil of time.
And now, the human before her looked more and more like that very figure. It meant one thing: his rise was inevitable, and no one could stop it.
As for the so-called threat of the Ōtsutsuki? The White Snake Sage paid it no mind.
If this man had a future, it meant the enemy had failed to destroy Earth. No matter how chaotic the path might be, the conclusion was already set.
All that remained was to choose the right side—and cling to it.
She even mused that if Kyōsuke were willing, she would offer him all three of her daughters. If not, she would simply bear more.
Alas, he had never shown any interest in that sort of arrangement. Offering them now would only come across as desperate.
"Forget it. Leave it to fate," she muttered, having resigned herself to the reality. She hadn't succeeded before, and now was certainly no better time to try again.
In any case, Ryūchi Cave had already forged a friendship with Kyōsuke. What truly concerned her now was that wretched toad.
Kyōsuke was clearly not going to stop with just the Serpent's Pool. The toads and the slugs were the true feast that awaited him.
"I only hope it has the stomach to finish what it starts," the White Snake Sage muttered with a cold laugh.
Meanwhile...
The Ten Tails had been summoned and immediately plunged into the Sage spring, gulping down the water with greedy abandon.
Kyōsuke had once immersed himself in these waters and knew well that what flowed there was nothing less than liquidified Sage Chakra. For the Ten Tails, it was a precious and nourishing elixir.
Unfortunately, he could not allow the entire pool to be drained. If that were to happen, Ryūchi Cave would be crippled for the next thousand years.
Still, offering half the spring in exchange for his protection was, all things considered, a rather fair deal.
As the creature's body began to swell slightly, Kyōsuke turned his head—and found Tagorihime watching him with sparkling eyes, a clear excitement in her gaze.
"Still going on, are you?" he remarked, a subtle grin tugging at his lips.
"Hmph, I just want to test your current abilities," she responded with a hint of challenge in her voice.
"Fine, but I don't think you'll be able to hurt me now."
Tagorihime's little whip wasn't just a tool for punishment. It had the power to purge the corrosive effects of Sage Chakra with remarkable efficiency.
Back then, Kyosuke had depended on her spirited and precise control of the whip to finally uncover the secrets of mastering Sage Mode.
But now...
When it was over, Tagorihime stood there in shock, staring at the broken remains of her whip, now reduced to half its original length.
"It's over. My life has lost all its joy," she whispered, visibly distraught.
Feeling a slight pang of guilt, Kyōsuke softened his tone and said, "How about this? I'll send a batch of Konoha shinobi your way soon."
"Really?" she asked, eyes lighting up again.
"Of course. After all, Sage Mode is a powerful tool for improving one's abilities."
Once, when the White Snake Sage was still unpredictable and volatile, every shinobi who ventured into Ryūchi Cave met with death or severe injury. But those days were gone. The old serpent had become far more agreeable.
In other words, Konoha now had access to a stable path to learning Sage Mode. And along the way, Tagorihime's rather unique teaching preferences would be more than satisfied.
Why not?
As for the difficulty of mastering Sage Mode, the support of Sage Body cells would ensure there were no issues with physical strength. The remaining challenge was simply refining their control over it.
So Kyōsuke decided to share his own method for developing Curse Seal-based Senjutsu techniques, hoping to help the ninjas of Konoha reach their goals as swiftly and effectively as possible.
From now on, anyone who entered Ryūchi Cave would become a powerful Kage-level shinobi, and it wouldn't be long before Konoha boasted a new generation of ninjas proficient in Sage Mode.
Perhaps the great shinobi world war for unification would not even need his direct involvement anymore.
He returned to the White Snake Sage's domain once more and finalized the details of the exchange channel between Konoha and Ryūchi Cave.
With a reluctant roar from the Ten-Tails, Kyōsuke drew it back into his body, and with a smile, he bade farewell to his companions.
"Don't make a fuss. The person is a friend, so there's no need to exhaust all of their resources."
"But once we reach the next location, it will be a different matter."
"That place has a much richer natural energy. No matter what you encounter there, feel free to devour it to your heart's content."
He reassured the Ten-Tails within him and opened a spatial portal, following the White Snake Sage's guidance to a hidden barrier.
There, nestled deep within a mountain forest, stood a seemingly abandoned thatched hut. No one would ever guess that behind an old well in the courtyard lay a connection to three of the legendary Sage Lands.
---
Mount Myōboku, the temple at its heart.
In the center of two massive scrolls, above a sign bearing the character "Sage," sat an enormous toad, its skin a deep orange. Around its neck was a string of beads, and atop its head rested a peculiar doctor's hat, lending it a strangely comical appearance.
"Hmm?"
Though it appeared to be napping, a wave of unsettling energy suddenly jolted the toad awake.
Its eyes, a striking golden yellow, widened in shock as though it had glimpsed a shadow of some ominous future.
The White Snake Sage was known for the ability to see a person's future with eerie clarity. The enormous Toad Sage, on the other hand, possessed the gift of foresight—though his visions were often vague and imprecise.
Each of their powers came with distinct strengths and weaknesses, yet none of that changed the fact that the Toad Sage could still perceive what was to come. Even without sharp detail, his insight remained powerful enough to reveal glimpses of events not yet set in motion.
Gamamaru, once a close companion to the brothers of the Six Paths during their youth, had lived for several millennia. Legends spoke of his strength in whispers, placing it on par with the Sage of Six Paths himself.
Secluded deep within the heart of Mount Myōboku, he had long since earned the title of "Great Toad Sage" in the eyes of the world.
Of course, after the Sage of Six Paths passed away, countless others emerged claiming powers equal to or greater than his. Whether those claims held any truth remained a matter of belief and debate.
"This is bad," Gamamaru muttered to itself as it broke free from its vision of the future. Its shriveled body began to swell, expanding rapidly.
Above its head, a Sage Talisman marked with the character "Time" began to erode away.
The immense natural energy began to flood into the temple, pouring into its once-weak, now powerfully charged, frail form.
The entire Mount Myōboku seemed to tremble with the surge of energy.
CRACK!!!
A faint cracking sound echoed, and within the pitch-black spatial portal, Kyōsuke stepped out with a smile on his face.
