"The world really is changing..." Their mentor muttered and gazed towards the heavens, observing the metallic vessel hanging over the blue skies. Such technology was unheard of. The utilization of magicraft and technology wasn't to be underestimated, their combination was excellent and might be the finest in the world. It made her curious about the ones who created such wonders.

"Even the dwarves doesn't have massive airships of steel capable of so-much destruction." She continued, somewhat amazed as she was somewhat astounded that a short decade had so much happened in comparison to the last centuries. Her disciples wryly smiled as they weren't ignorant of the true identity of the ones who held authority of the steel angels.

Ever since the complete defeat of the Colonial Dominions and the fall of the Ferus Sea, the United World Government has become infamous throughout the world. Humanity deemed this country as a heretical nation that must be abhorred by everyone and everything. But those that stand against humankind thought differently.

"Isabella, you should be proud that humanity is capable of creating such beautiful wonders." Their mentor gave the timid girl a thumbs up and a smile. Isabella, the timid archmage, shook her head and mentioned. "Those aren't creations of the League of Humanity, Miss Althea. Such marvels come from the United World Government."

"Isabella is right, Miss Althea. The humans of the United World Government are hardworking people. Even without a tinge of mana inside their bodies, they managed to utilize magicraft regardless. I don't believe we deserve to stand in the same level as them." The bright young archmage, Arden, commented with determination.

Their mentor gazed upon them, her eyes aloof yet soft. She faintly shook her head and uttered. "Regardless of the differences, they are still humans. Human ingenuity isn't to be underestimated. A thousand years was enough for humanity to stand equal alongside elvenkind. I believe your race, no matter how short-living, deserve praise."

"The United World Government, a country that stands for the freedom of all sapient life. I believe it is a respectable duty worth of preserving through the annals of time. Don't you think so?" She asked her disciples, who humbly nodded in agreement. Since becoming her apprentice, their worldviews have been built beside their mentor.

It wasn't as extreme as the norms of humanity, but it wasn't weak either. To them, magicraft wasn't a weapon but a way of life. It wasn't meant to oppress, but to bring enjoyment and delight to others. It was the teachings of their mentor. A view they believed to be the greatest of all. It was a perception that brings forth peace.

"Should we enter their banquet? I know some acquittances inside. That little lizard should be conversing with the rulers of the wondrous country." Althea sauntered forward, uncaring and indifferent. Life as an elf nomad had also change her ways. In comparison to noble elves, she seemed more different and disappointing.

As she arrived before the massive doors, she passed through the guards, unhalted. Her disciples tried stopping her from causing trouble, but they were too slow. She wandered through the halls, enjoying the paintings and sculptures. Even though the Kingdom of Monstra was a new country, it wasn't bad in terms of culture and art.

However, Althea couldn't lotter forward as her head hit the chest of a middle-aged man. "I apologized..." She aloofly muttered under her breath as she gazed up. Her eyebrows rose, surprised to see a handsome man. Though, he seemed unfamiliar which was strange. After all, she was familiar with every Daemon Monarchs within the banquet.

She tilted her head and calmly asked. "Are you perhaps the ruler of the United World Government?" The elf was straightforward and didn't bother jumping around. It was better to be direct as it provided her a better understanding of those she met through their reactions from it. The middle-aged man merely smiled at her before answering. "Perhaps, I am... How may I help you."

"I am an elven mage, and I wish to understand more about your nation." Althea responded with little to no subtlety. It was as though she was detached from the world, which wasn't far from the truth. Long-lived entities rarely go about their day without developing some strange eccentricities brought by centuries of their lives.

"Curious, huh? I'll introduce myself, I am Abraham Shepherd of the United World Government. You can call me Abraham, for short." The middle-aged man introduced himself with the same pleasant smile and continued. "So, you're an elven mage? Dumbfounding indeed. I thought you were but a lost girl in the halls of Echidna's castle."

"You speak strange, Abraham. No need to force formality. Besides, I am not offended since I'm confident you already knew of my identity the moment you set your sights on me." Althea gazed directly at the eyes of Abraham, who slightly chuckled. "Sorry about that. The tone of the Daemon Monarchs made its mark on me. Its difficult to not let their way of speaking stick to my tongue."

"This is the first time I saw an elven mage. I expected your kind to be much more graceful and perhaps regal. I guess I was wrong with my preconceptions." Abraham mumbled to himself while observing the elven mage in front of him. She was strong, far stronger than the Apostles he had met. To think that there was such a capable mage before him.

"You're preconceptions aren't wrong." A voice sounded out, attracting the attention of the middle-aged man. A young man stood beside the elven mage and introduced himself with confidence. "Hi, I am Arden. This is my mentor, Miss Althea. And she is my fellow friend and apprentice of my mentor, Isabelle." He introduced himself, his mentor, and pointed at the timid girl behind him.

"Miss Althea is amongst the eccentric of elves. In reality, regal and graceful elves are common within the elven country, Alfar Empire." Arden had heard of broken dreams of those who met his master for the first time. Their images of elves had been uttered destroyed as his mentor didn't have a tinge of properties that usual preconceptions hold. It was a sad sight to see dreams collapse.

"I see... You must be unique elf, Miss Althea. Shall I lead you to the banquet and answer your questions along the way?" Abraham shifted his hand, making way for the elven mage. "I'll accept your invitation, Sir Abraham. I hope you'll be answer my questions profoundly." Althea sauntered forward, uncaring and interested about Abraham and the wider United World Government.

As the four of them returned to the banquet hall, Althea didn't hesitate to bombard the middle-aged man with questions. Her first question was how the United World Government could utilize mana without containing the energy itself in their bodies. The answer to this question was fairly simple. Magicraft technology capable of imbuing runes to objects.

The second one was primarily about Abraham and Laplace. The elven mage wanted to know what kind of abilities or techniques the powerhouses of the World Government has. Abraham's answer was relatively straightforward. The Sun and the Dragon. Nothing more, nothing less. Althea accepted the answer without a tinge of a problem as she understood the implications with ease.

The third question was whether or not Abraham planned to acquire more powerhouses for the United World Government. Her curiosity was understandable since she wanted to know if Abraham and Laplace intended to hold the bay of powerhouses alone rather than gathering more forces of powerhouses that could rival the Magus Tower.

To be honest, it was also a question that Abraham asked himself. The reason why he never acquired more powerhouses other than himself and Laplace was because of the lack of it. Humans within the United World Government simply couldn't unlock the capability to manipulate mana, no matter how natural it may seemed. One could argue that they could genetically alter themselves.

But mana storage was far more intricate than a simple biological function. That much was discovered since humanity of the Primordial world and humanity of the Modern world weren't that much different from one another. As such, those within the Research and Development Department concluded that it merely an undisputed fact that people in this world were built different.

So, Abraham could only shake his head and wryly smile. While he wanted to acquire more powerhouses, it wasn't simply possible with the resources under his influence. However, out of nowhere, Althea suggested a peculiar yet interesting idea. It was adopting talented individuals within the Continent of Europa.

At the moment, although a continental war hadn't begun. Skirmishes had brought destruction to neighboring countries of respected species. As such, homes were destroyed, families were broken apart, and despair ran amok. Those who reside in such a hellish reality needed hope. Perhaps, he could become the hope of those lost in the whims of the world.

Abraham could only smile and realized the critical perspective this elven mage has. He instinctively patted her head as she was much smaller than him, making him subconsciously think that she was younger than what she really was. Naturally, Althea merely glanced at him with indifference unbothered by rough and firm hand over her head.

"Thank you for the idea, Miss Althea. I won't forget you to mention as the one that gave me the idea." The middle-aged smirked as he opened the massive door at the end of the hall. Beyond it was the vast banquet room of Monstra where the Daemon Monarchs and the guests resided. Though, his opening brought the attention of everyone as all of their gazes turned to his direction.

And they weren't looking at him, all of their eyes were directed to the small elven babyface grandma beside him.
