Chapter 169: Chapter 169 – Trust me, Violet, that woman isn’t Dion

Joanna’s subconscious mind could not let Tess go for what she did to her baby, so after exposing the culprit, she fell unconscious again, right after the words left her mouth.

Violet glared at Tess. "You fucking bitch. You did this." She was ready to commit murder, not caring if she went to jail for it.

The bitch touched her best friend, and no one could stop her from getting even.

Luckily, the emergency services arrived, but Violet took another look at Tess before following them to the hospital.

"I will make you pay," she vowed.

As Joanna was wheeled to the emergency room, Violet stayed at the door, but that was when she saw a man dressed in a doctor’s coat walking towards the emergency room with no other person than the fool who caused the incident.

She felt that the doctor looked familiar but could not remember where she saw him, especially when his face was covered with a surgical mask, but those eyes were so familiar.

"Tess, wait for me," he said before rushing away. The moment Tess’s eyes met with that of Violet, she tried to escape, but Violet wouldn’t let her.

"Not so fast, bitch." With just a kick, Tess was on the floor as Violet got on top of her. The beatings were terrible as Tess kept screaming.

After causing the accident, the only person she could trust to help her was her brother, and she made the call after the ambulance left.

Colton was greatly upset. "Tess, how could you? Even if Joan is divorced, she’s still an ex of the Kings, and they won’t watch her getting hurt. You should have listened to me," Colton spoke bitterly on the phone.

"I know, but please help me," she pleaded. Colton sighed. She was still his only sister, so he had to protect her.

"Alright, get to my office this minute."

Tess drove to the hospital with the speed of lightning, and Colton arranged for the ambulance to bring Joanna to the hospital where he worked.

Tess arrived, but they didn’t have time to talk, as he was already prepared for surgery. With the theatre doors closed, he had no idea of what Violet was doing to his precious sister.

"Help, call the cops," Tess’s painful screams echoed through the hospital walls. Security came to separate them, and with Tess’s injuries of a broken nose, teeth, black eye, and whatnot, Violet was arrested for assault and taken to the station for questioning.

However, since she had no proof of Tess causing Joanna’s condition and with Joanna being in a comma, Tess was not arrested after denying all the charges labeled against her at the hospital.

Violet felt injustice for the first time in her life, and her family’s connection did not reach Miami. As such, she could only call one person, since it was his fault that all this happened.

"I want to talk to my lawyer," she demanded, and with it being her right, she was given the chance to make the call.

Well, she called someone in a bigger position than a lawyer, but his irritable voice scared her a little. "What?"

"Alex, it’s me, Violet. I’m at a Miami jail, but you have to help Joan." Alex’s hand holding the phone shook.

"Miami? Jail? What are you talking about?" Both Violet and Joanna had changed their contact numbers, making it impossible for Alex to reach them, but Violet took a deep breath and explained everything.

Alex was furious. "Trust me, Violet, that woman isn’t Dion. Dion is my sister. It must be Mabel or whatever her name was. Don’t worry. I will send Aiden to come and get you out."

Violet knew she did the right thing, though Joanna would be upset. Only Alex was powerful enough to avenge Joanna.

"Aiden, she’s pregnant, but the bitch attacked her."

The effects of the alcohol had cleared from his eyes due to the news, and he rushed out of the club to his car with Aiden following him.

"Alex, you have to tell me something."

Alex sat in the car and ordered Ike. "To the airport." After that, he explained everything to Aiden, just as Violet informed him.

"Alex, I hope you’ll allow me to kill the bitch. There was nothing on her when you told us to investigate her, except that she was a nurse. There were no childhood reports," Aiden recalled.

Alex regretted not digging further by then. "You are right. I should have known she was an imposter. There’s no way a woman like that would have saved my sister."

"How could she even use your sister’s name to hurt your wife?" Aiden thought aloud. Alex was furious.

"The more reason why she’s an imposter." He called the head security at Dion’s safehouse immediately.

"Don’t let Mabel or whatever her name is onto my property. If you see her around, arrest her and let me know. Secondly, I want you to review all the footages of the days she visited my sister. Report any discrepancies."

"Yes, sir," the chief security reported. Alex called Dario. "Send some men to Miami to protect my wife. I will send you her location."

After putting everything in order, the last call was to Edmund. "I hope your assistant is doing a good job because I’m going to Miami and have no idea when I would return."

Edmund was dizzy from the pressure of the news. His boss was constantly absent ever since his wife went missing, leaving all the work to him, but Edmund hoped that once things settled, he could take a full month leave.

"Don’t worry, sir, the company is in safe hands." fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

"And you shall be rewarded for your hard work," Alex added before ending the call.

As they reached the airport, his pilot was already waiting, and as eager as he was to see Joan again, Aiden was also eager to see Violet.

After three hours of anxiety, Alex arrived at Miami, and he and his best friend parted ways.

Salvador’s men had already arrived ahead of time, creating panic at the hospital before Alex’s arrival, but the news he heard crippled him and sent him to his knees.
