Chapter 980: Chapter 980 Everywhere (2)

In the conference room, all the high-level executives of Muyun Group were holding their monthly regular meeting. The spacious conference table was filled with core members engaged in heated discussions.

At the main seat, Duan Tang was sitting quietly in his white long gown. Without any strife or argument, his eyebrows and eyes were picturesque, and the smile at the corner of his mouth was very warm. He looked as though he had stepped out of an ink painting, quite out of place amidst the tense atmosphere of the meeting room.

Next to Duan Tang sat Ruan Hao and a female secretary. Ruan Hao was relatively unfazed; having been by Duan Tang’s side for many years, he had developed immunity to his charm. However, the young female secretary kept involuntarily shifting her gaze to Duan Tang’s figure, which caused her to blush and misspell a few words.

When the receptionist just opened the door of the meeting room, those high-level executives of Muyun Society who had been arguing ceaselessly fell silent and turned to look.

"What is it? Don’t you know that it’s forbidden to disturb us during meetings?" one of the Muyun Society’s executives coldly scolded.

The receptionist shivered, finding it difficult to even breathe in front of so many compelling leaders. She bit her lip, her eyes seeking help as she looked towards Ruan Hao.

Ruan Hao was taken aback and calmly swept his gaze over all the executives. They immediately shut their mouths, grudgingly lowering their heads.

"What is it?"

The one asking wasn’t Ruan Hao, but Duan Tang, who had been sitting sedately with his eyes closed.

The receptionist glanced subtly at Duan Tang, who had not opened his eyes, feeling an inexplicable pressure as his fingers rhythmically tapped on the conference table. Although he seemed effortlessly elegant, there was something profoundly inscrutable about him.

The receptionist, steadying her nerves, became even more anxious.

"Chairm– Chairman, Miss An has arrived and is waiting for you in the conference room."

As soon as she finished speaking, Duan Tang’s black pupils instantly opened, and his gentle yet piercing gaze turned towards the receptionist at the door.

Disaster! The Chairman is displeased!

The receptionist inwardly wailed, regretting her decision to interrupt the meeting.

As she lowered her head, awaiting Duan Tang’s reproach, a breeze seemingly passed by and Duan Tang’s gentle voice rang in her ear.

"You did well."

The receptionist looked up in surprise to find the people in the conference room staring at each other in disbelief. She blinked, turning towards the main seat, only to find that Duan Tang had already vanished.

Ruan Hao stood up unhurriedly, tidying the documents on the table, then gave everyone a cold glance.

"Dismiss the meeting. We’ll continue next time."

Having said that, he turned and left, leaving a bunch of crestfallen subordinates behind.

In the reception room, An Yiqing sat on the sofa, quietly perusing a magazine, while Zhang Yufeng stood motionless behind her, constantly vigilant.

A rush of footsteps sounded, and An Yiqing, who had been looking at the magazine, was slightly startled before smiling helplessly and looking towards the door.

The door to the reception room was flung open, and there stood Duan Tang in white clothes before An Yiqing.

"I seem to have disrupted your work after all." An Yiqing put down the magazine and stood up, smiling warmly at Duan Tang.

Duan Tang laughed softly, suppressing the excitement and joy in his heart, and stepped inside.

"Seeing you is the real business. I’ve never been fond of those meetings anyway; it was just the perfect excuse to escape them."

An Yiqing’s gaze flickered, but she said nothing more.

"How are you feeling? Couldn’t stay at home and had to come out? Does General Gu really let you go?" Duan Tang elegantly seated himself on the sofa, leisurely unbuttoning the top button of his collar and took a comfortable breath.
