POSSESSION: The Hidden Omega In All Alphas' Academy [BL]-Chapter 172: You Must Be Miserable

{FLASHBACK: 14 Years Ago, Remsworth Mansion}

~ "I knew this would happen! You made such a a ridiculous choice to come here, now what’s the point of getting scared?"

Like always, Barnes’s beta wolf Jules growled bluntly inside him, as if he could evidently sense the harrowing anxiety Barnes was enduring inside, despite being a small kid himself. From a few other maids, he had known the wolves would usually awaken inside them when they attained the age of 18, which was supposedly considered normal in their society.

But to his own surprise, Barnes awakened his wolf when he was only 13, which made him feel too shocked to believe it was real! Compared to his soft, compassionate nature, Jules was quite rigid and outspoken which sometimes made Barnes feel a little vexed, considering how he used to nag at him.

And even now, when he was already panicking from hearing the sound of footsteps, Jules’s words made him grunt, "You should just stop whining at me always, Jules."

~ "Because your stupid decisions make me mad! I can’t help it...why did I have to awaken in someone as dumb as you, ugh!"

As expected, instead of silencing, when his wolf growled angrily once again, Barnes started deliberately looking around himself and found a giant pillar close to the room.

Quickly he ran ahead to hide behind the pillar, and by that moment, the head maid of the mansion had already reached the hallway by climbing up the stairs. She was carrying a big bowl of boiling hot water, with white flames spreading all around her.

Taking the exact chance of that scattered smog, Barnes made sure to shrink his body as much as he could behind the pillar, at least until the moment the maid left the hallway without noticing him.

"Aiden," lowering her voice with a hint of disgruntle in her tone, Lorelia emptied the rest of the whiskey in one sip and narrowed her glare on Aiden’s innocent smiling face. Followed by a brief pause, she grunted, "When I am asking you to obey me, like a good child, you should be smart enough to heed my words. Unless you want to push my limits tonight when I am already exhausted—"

KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Madam, I have brought the hot water for your foot massage. May I come inside?"

Before Lorelia could finish, the sudden keen voice of the head maid knocking the door and urging her interrupted her words, making her click her tongue. She exhaled another big sigh before allowing the maid to come inside and rather coldly scowled at Aiden, "I will be busy for a while. So, just leave now, Aiden."

"TING!"

While the head maid nervously walked inside the room holding that boiling hot bowl of water, before Lorelia could head towards her, the notification sound on her phone placed on the table caught her attention.

She coldly lowered her gaze on the phone and in the span of a few seconds, her face turned darker with angst and disgust, as she quickly grabbed her phone and took a closer look at a picture that flashed on her screen.

However, Aiden didn’t feel the urge to give up easily as he slowly marched closer to her couch, not paying much attention to the fiery look she retained on her face at that moment. But the head maid was smarter enough to notice the change in her expression and stood still at her place, however, Aiden moved closer towards her and flashed the chart paper to her.

On that piece of paper, was a beautiful family picture of him, Lorelia, and Gabriel holding hands with each other drawn with love. Hoping that she would smile at his craft, Aiden gently tapped on her hands holding the phone when he sounded a bit impatient, "Mom, look...I have drawn three of us as our family picture. We don’t have a family portrait, like my other friends, so I drew Dad here as well along with—"

"SLAP!"

"Ugh!" As if reaching the end of her limit, Lorelia couldn’t stand his prattle anymore and smashed a furious slap across his pale white cheeks, smashing Aiden on the ground with a loud ’thud!’ The resonance of her slap was so fierce that it echoed vibrantly inside the room, as well as froze that head maid from fear as she watched Aiden groaning in pain.

But before she could take a step ahead, Lorelia stood up from the couch and stomped her feet on the art paper which was lying next to her on the floor. Her dark brown eyes held a murderous glint in them, blinded by rage as if he had lost all sense of self-restraint.

"I had enough of your nonsense you stupid brat! You are the damn reason why we could never be a happy family in the first place!" Clenching her fists tight, she howled at Aiden with a loud gasp, "YOU ARE THE FUCKIN’ REASON WHY YOUR DAMN FATHER IS CHEATING ON ME! YOU’RE THE REASON WHY HE’S HANGING AROUND WITH OMEGAS...HOPING HE MIGHT GET AN ALPHA HEIR FROM THEM!

"DAMN YOU, AIDEN! IF YOU COULDN’T INHERIT HIS GENES, THEN WHY THE FUCK DID YOU HAVE TO BORN AND MAKE MY LIFE MISERABLE!? I AM SO...SO FUCKIN’ TIRED OF DEALING WITH WITH! JUST WATCHING YOUR SILLY SMILING FACE MAKES ME IRRITATED! AND NOW...THAT I HAVE KNOWN YOUR FATHER IS PLANNING TO ABANDON US...THERE’S NO WAY I CAN STOP MYSELF ANYMORE!"

While he was still whimpering on the floor with his swollen red cheek, without batting an eye at his condition, Lorelia almost snatched the hot bowl of water from that maid’s arm and strode towards Aiden in fiery steps.

"M-Madam...w-what are you..." The maid’s voice trailed off from fear when she tried to go behind her and stop her.

But already reaching close to her little son, Lorelia fiercely splashed the hot water on Aiden’s body, especially around his side neck, making sure it would leave horrifying burnt scars on him!

"A-AAHHHHHHHH!!! AAEEEKKKKK!! AAOOOHHHHHH!!"

Aiden’s pained ear piercing screams reverberated strongly inside the room along with the maid’s scream who was horrified at the sight. But Lorelia stood completely still, watching his soft skin morph to form scary big scars, as a twisted smile arched her lips, "You made my life miserable...so, you have no right to live a happy life either, Aiden...You must be miserable too by my side."
